2.1 Purpose of this document
This operating manual contains important information for safe, correct and economical opera-
tion of the product. Observing the instructions in this manual will help to avoid dangers, reduce
repair costs and down times, increase the reliability and prolong the service life of the product.
The operating manual must be read and applied by every person who is deployed to work on/
with the product.
In addition to the operating manual, the statutory accident-prevention regulations which apply
in the user‘s country and at the site of deployment are also to be observed. The recognised
technical standards for safe and correct working practices are also to be complied with.

All information in this operating manual are provided to the best of our knowledge, on the basis
of our experience and findings to date.
This operating manual has been drafted with the utmost care. Should you nevertheless establish

3.1 Representation of safety notes

The product must only be used for its intended purpose as described in these
operating instructions. Any other use is considered as being not in accordance

Preparations before mast mounting:
1 Pull plug and grommet onto cable.
2 Strip approx. 8 cm of cable.
3 Insert cable into lamp.
4Carry out voltage supply according to
terminal plan.
5 Close glass lid and lock all three
closing clamps.
6 Safeguard the connection cable via the
cable strain relief ( 1).

Procedure for mast mounting:
8 Insert cable into mast.
9 Mount mast plug.
10 Pre-adjust bracket screws ( 3) to the
estimated mast diameter.
11 Attach lamp to mast.
12 Tighten bracket screws ( 3) manually.
13 Align lamp horizontally/parallel to the
illuminated surface.
14 Tighten bracket screws ( 3) with max.
8 Nm.
Adjust the angular position with the
helpscale to the illuminated surface and
fasten the screw connection ( 2 ) hand
tight. Lock the headless screw ( 4 ) as
defind in figure 4 or 5 hand tight. Now
fasten the screw connection ( 2 ) with a
maximum fastening torque of 110 Nm.

5.3 Transport of the product
The product may only be transported in the original packing. The bracket screws
must not be loosened unless the place of destination has been reached, in order
to avoid crushing injuries caused by moving parts.
Risk of injury caused by improper transport.
Observe the local regulations and the accident-prevention regulations when trans-
porting the product or components.
5.4 Functional test of the product
This product was tested after its production, bevor we delivered it, for its full functionality
at our plant. But we recommend you to test it for the full function temporary but according
to your local regulations, before you mount it to a pole or a wall.

6 Use
The product is intended for the lighting of:

The product must not be used for underwater and tunnel lighting purposes!
Always use all of the 3 housing-lid fixings. The product must not be used if the
housing-lid is open/not completely closed!

7 Maintenance and repair
Regular maintenance and inspection is of great importance. This reduces the
incidence of faults and increases operational safety and reliability.
WPSLPOthe product‘s electrical equipment may only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
7.1 Cleaning of the product
The outside of the glass lid must be cleaned with a damp cloth (without abrasive
cleaner) on a regular basis (depending on the degree of soiling).
Prior to this, the product must be switched off.
Further safety measures (e.g. concerning wPSLBCove body height) must be taLen
in accordance with national / local statutory requirements. Contact between live
parts and fluids is to be avoided.
7.2 Troubleshooting
Faults may only be rectified by qualified electricians / by the manufacturer.
7.3 Spare and wearing parts
Spare parts must comply with the technical requirements stipulated by our compa-
ny. Such compliance is always guaranteed by original spare parts. The installation
and/or use of spare parts which are not supplied by our company may have an
adverse effect on the product‘s properties resulting from its mechanicalelectrical
design and thus impair active and/or passive safety. We accept no liability and
provide no guarantee for any damage resulting from the use of spare parts and/or
accessories other than original items supplied by our company.
Please use the attached order form for ordering spare parts.

8 Decommissioning, disassembly and disposal
8.1 Decommissioning and disassembly
The following is to be noted:
1. All electrical components must be fully disconnected from the voltage supply
and discharged, prior to dismantling.
2. Disconnect the power supply
