GUARDIAN CASE CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Cleaning: Rinse with ONLY fresh and mildly soapy water.
• Guardian Case is NOT Dishwasher safe.
• Do NOT store in direct sunlight or extreme heat.
• The rapid change in air pressure associated with air travel may cause damage to
your Guardian if the case is sealed. Keep your case unlatched during air travel.
• Inspect your Guardian Case regularly for punctures, cracks, or any other irregularities.
If you notice any irregularities discontinue use, and contact M-Edge customer service.
• Do NOT store the Guardian Case with sharp items because they could puncture the
Flexible panels.
• Perform a submergence test BEFORE initial use of the Guardian Case and after long
periods of inactivity.
• ALWAYS follow installation and removal instructions. Failure to do so can void
warranty.
• Do not use sharp objects when opening the Guardian Case or removing O-ring.
• If your Guardian Case happens to fall and results in extreme impact, we recommend
you inspect and test your case again. Your warranty does not protect against impact
damage.
• Never introduce your Guardian Case to water without engaging the O-ring and
latching all 4 Latch-Locking Mechanisms.

INSPECTING YOUR GUARDIAN CASE
Make sure the O-ring is present and properly seated.
Roll finger over the O-ring channel to ensure it is properly installed.
Inspect all 4 Latch-Locking Mechanisms making sure the Tab, Hinge and Hook
are moving free of obstruction and latching into the Latch-Locking Groove on
Case Front. Check for cracks or irregularities.
Make sure the flexible panels are fully attached to hard plastic.

SUBMERGENCE TEST FOR GUARDIAN CASE
Close your EMPTY Guardian Case following the Opening Directions.
Submerge your Guardian Case for 5 minutes in a depth of water that completely
covers the case. Do not submerge deeper than 1 meter
Remove the Guardian Case after 5 minutes. Dry o outside of the Guardian Case
before opening.
Open your Guardian Case checking for any signs of water inside. Do NOT use if water
is present and contact M-Edge customer service.
NOTE:
It is imperative to inspect your Guardian Case regularly. After using your Guardian Case, especially on the beach, rinse
with fresh, mildly soapy water. Perform a submergence test on your Guardian Case after long periods of inactivity.
If your Guardian Case happens to fall and results in extreme impact, we recommend you inspect and test your Guardian
Case again. Your warranty does not protect against impact damage.

INSTALLING YOUR KINDLE:
Place your Kindle face-up into the molded tray.
Close the Case Front.
Latch the Hook of the Latch-Locking Mechanism into the corresponding Hook
Groove on the front of the Guardian Case.
Push the Latch-Locking Mechanism Tab down and onto the back of the Guardian
Case until the Latch-Locking Mechanism is locked and secure.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all four Latch-Locking Mechanisms are secure.

REMOVING YOUR KINDLE: THOROUGHLY DRY OFF GUARDIAN CASE BEFORE
REMOVING KINDLE.
Flip the Guardian Case over so the front is facing down and all four latches are visible.
Release each latch by placing your finger in the appropriate finger notch and
pulling each Tab upward.
Flip the Guardian Case back over and ensure all Latch-Locking Mechanisms are
detached from front.
Open the Guardian Case Front and remove Kindle.

Release each latch by placing your finger in the appropriate finger notch and
pulling each Tab upward.
Flip the Guardian Case back over and ensure all Latch-Locking Mechanisms are
detached from front.
Open the Guardian Case Front and remove Kindle.

O-RING CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• ONLY use mildly soapy water to clean.
• The O-ring is NOT Dishwasher safe.
• Do NOT store the O-ring in high temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Do NOT bend, twist, or distort shape of the O-ring. Stretching or augmenting
the O-ring could prevent its capability to form a water-tight seal.
• Make sure the O-ring is installed correctly before every use.
• Replace the O-ring after 1 year. Warranty on the O-ring is void after 1 year.
• Never remove the O-ring with a sharp object.

O-RING CHANNEL CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Rinse in fresh, mildly soapy water after use and before storing. Never use bleach
or detergents.
• Do NOT store in direct sunlight or high temperatures.
• Keep free of obstruction. Check the O-ring Channel before every use. An obstructed
channel can prevent a water tight seal from forming.
• The O-ring Channel is not designed to withstand trauma from dropping. Do not use and
contact M-Edge customer service if you notice any chips or cracks.

SECTION II
INSTALLING O-RING
Check the O-ring Channel for obstruction, sand and other foreign objects.
An obstructed channel will result in leakage.
Pressing the O-ring into the O-ring Channel, roll finger over the O-ring while
holding opposite side in place with your other hand.
Close the Guardian Case to make sure the O-ring is engaged in the O-ring Channel.
Open the Guardian Case to make sure the O-ring is in place.
Note: An improperly engaged O-ring will leak and could result in damage to your Kindle.
Inspect O-ring before every use.

SCREEN AREA CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Cleaning: ONLY use household glass cleaner. Do not wipe with an abrasive object.
• Always use a Screen Protector to reduce wear and tear that could eventually
reduce visibility.
• Make sure the Screen Protector (included) is correctly installed. If bubbles are forming
or it is peeling we recommend replacing the Screen Protector.
SCREEN PROTECTOR INSTALLATION:
Use a lint-free cloth to thoroughly clean the Screen Area of the Case Front.
Pull tab to begin peeling liner away from film to expose adhesive.
Apply Screen Protector by positioning film, adhesive side down, on the screen.
Use credit card to squeegee film in place as you continue to pull liner down.

WRIST STRAP CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• The Wrist Strap is provided to protect the Guardian from accidental damage caused by
dropping and to keep the Guardian from floating away.
• If Wrist Strap begins to fray or becomes damaged, we recommend you replace it.
Contact M-Edge customer service for replacements.

Guide thin Nylon Cord through the Wrist Strap Bracket.
Insert wide Wrist Strap through the thin Nylon Cord.
Pull tight.
Insert wrist through the opening of the wide Wrist Strap, pulling
the Adjustable Plastic Tab tight around your wrist.

Limited Warranty, General Terms
M-Edge Accessories endeavors to design and manufacture products of the highest qual-
ity. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction with all of our products. That’s why if you
purchase or receive an M-Edge product that does not function properly or is otherwise
defective, we want to know about it.
If your Guardian Case appears damaged or faulty upon receipt of the product, please DO
NOT use it and contact M-Edge Customer Service immediately. DO NOT unnecessarily
place your Kindle at risk if there is a clear quality defect.
For up to one year from the date of purchase, M-Edge will provide a free replacement
product if you experience a failure of the Guardian Case due to faulty workmanship or
product defects. M-Edge will conduct testing to determine how and why the product
failed. If the tests prove inconclusive as to whether the product or human error is to
blame, we tend to err on the side of generosity.
We cannot guarantee the Guardian Case against accidental drops, damage, or general
wear and tear. We strongly recommend that users of the Guardian Case arrange for per-
sonal insurance policies to cover the Guardian’s contents should these accidents occur.

Limited Warranty, Specific Terms. 1-Year Warranty.
M-Edge Accessories, LLC (“M-Edge”) warrants that this product, if used in accordance
with the included instructions, will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for
a period of one year from the date of purchase.
M-Edge shall not be liable under this warranty if its testing and examination discloses
that the alleged defect or malfunction in the product does not exist or was caused by
misuse, accident or neglect, or by failure to follow the included instructions.
Neither M-Edge nor any of its resellers shall be responsible for loss of or damage to
items stored in the case, caused by misuse, accident or neglect, or by failure to follow the
included instructions. Should M-Edge deem products to have been defective under the
terms of this warranty, the cost of returning the products to M-Edge will be reimbursed,
and the cost of any replacement shipped to you will also be the responsibility of M-Edge.
This warranty applies to products bought from any M-Edge authorized reseller anywhere
in the world.
Internet auction sites are not authorized outlets, regardless of the identity of the seller.
M-Edge products bought via internet auction sites are not covered by this warranty.
