Ausrüstung der PIKO E 03/103
mit Antrieben für Einholmstrom-
abnehmer
Um das Spur G Modell der PIKO
E03 (#37440) mit Pantografenan-
trieben auszurüsten benötigen sie
neben dem bereits erworbenen
Montageset #8440090 noch
Pantografenantriebe für Einholm-
stromabnehmer #8440012 sowie
einen Decoder zur Ansteuerung
des Panto-Antriebs. Die in der
Lok verbauten Scherenstromab-
nehmer sind mit einem Stellhebel
versehen, der vom Antrieb des
Einholmstromabnehmers bewegt
wird.
ACHTUNG
Der Antrieb #8440022 (Scherenstromab-
nehmer) ist nicht geeignet!
Beachten sie unbedingt die Hin-
weise in der Bedienungsanleitung
des Pantografenantriebs 8440012
sowie des eingesetzten Decoders!

1. Introductory information for
equipping the PIKO E 03/103 with
the single arm pantograph motor
drive
In order to equip the scale G
Modell PIKO E03 (#37440) with
a pantograph motor drive, you
need the mounting set #8440090
as well as the motor drive for
single arm pantographs #8440012
and a decoder for controlling the
motor drive. The built-in scissor
pantographs of the train are
equipped with a switch handle
which is moved by the single-arm
pantograph.
NOTE
The scissor pantograph motor-drive
#8440022 is not suitable!
Please pay attention to the infor-
mation in the instruction manual
of the pantograph motor drive
#8440012 as well as the operating
decoder!

1.2 Vorbereitung des Antriebs
8440012:
Entfernen sie die zum Liefer-
umfang des Antriebes 8440012
gehörenden Montageplatten (4
Schrauben) und montieren sie die
Montageplatten aus der Packung
8440090 auf die Unterseite des
Antriebsgehäuses. Dabei sind
wie auf Abb. 1 zu sehen zwischen
Montageplatte und Antrieb die mit-
gelieferten Distanzhülsen und die
längeren Schrauben einzubauen.
1.3 Montage des Antriebs in der
Lokomotive:
Zerlegen sie die Lok durch Lösen
von zehn Schrauben auf der
Unterseite und nehmen sie den
Lokkasten nach oben ab. Nachdem
sie die grüne Trennwand heraus-

boards of the 8440090 on the
bottom side of the motor drive
case. As shown in illustration. 1,
you will need to insert the supplied
distance sleeves in between the
motor drive and the mounting
board with the longer screws.
1.3 Installation of the motor drive in
the train
Deconstruct the loco by opening
ten screws on the bottom side and
lifting the case. After taking out the
green separation please remove
the red marked area (rag and

genommen haben entfernen sie
den rot markierten Bereich (Steg
u nd Aufnahmezapfen, Abb. 2 )
z. B. mittels Dremel.
Den mit der neuen Montageplatte
versehenen Antrieb befestigen sie
nun mit drei Schrauben auf den
Zapfen im Dach der Lokomoti-
ve. Dabei muss der Stellhebel
der Pantos in den Schieber des
Antriebs passen. Wiederholen sie
dieses Procedere mit dem zweiten
Antrieb.

1.4 Anschluss an einen Decoder
Die Antriebe können nun je nach
verwendetem Decoder wie in der
unter Ziffer 3 der Anleitung des
Pantografenantriebes #8440012
beschrieben mit Stecker, Schraub-
verbindung oder Löten mit diesem
verbunden werden. Beachten sie
hierzu auch die Anleitung ihres
Decoders. Nach einem Probelauf
kann die Lok wieder zusammen-
gebaut werden, dabei die zur
Gehäusestabilisierung notwen-
digen grünen Trennwände nicht
vergessen.
1.4 Connecting to a decoder
Asspecicallywritteninthe
instruction manual of the panto-
graph motor drive #8440012, you
can now connect the motor-drive,
dependingonthespecicdecoder,
by either screws, soldering or
plugging-in. Please also check the
decoders instruction manual. After
a test run, you can now reassem-
ble the train, do not forget the
green separations that are stabilize
the whole case!

2. Einleitende Information zur
Ausrüstung des LGB Selbstentla-
dewagens mit einem Antrieb für
Scherenstromabnehmer
Um einen LGB Selbstentlade-
wagen (41610 mit analoger
Automatikfunktion; 41613, 41614,
41615 ohne Automatikfunktion)
zum automatischen Heben und
Senken der Bordwand auszurüsten
benötigen sie neben dem bereits
erworbenen Montageset #8440091
noch einen Pantografenantrieb für
Scherenstromabnehmer aus der
Packung 8440022 sowie einen
(Funktions-) Decoder zur Ansteue-
rung des Panto-Antriebs.
Beachten sie unbedingt die Hin-
weise in der Bedienungsanleitung
des Pantografenantriebs 8440022
sowie des eingesetzten Decoders!
2.1 Lieferumfang:

Öffnen sie das Gehäuse des
Antriebes 8440022 (4 Schrauben)
und heben sie den Deckel

In order to update the LGB self-un-
loading coach (41610 with analog
automatic function; 41613, 41614,
41615 without automatic function)
to automatically lift and drop the
side panel you need the mounting
set #8440091 as well as the motor
drive for scissor pantographs
8440022 and a (function-) decoder
to operate the motor-drive.
Please pay attention to the instruc-
tion manual of the pantograph
motor-drive 8440022 and the
specicdecoder.
2.1 Scope of supply
•Mounting board for the self-unloa-
ding coach 4161X
•Pusher for exchange
•4 screws for installing the moun-
ting board on the vehicle
2.2 Preparing the motor-drive
8440022
Open the case of the motor-
drive (4 screws) and lift the top
carefully. Then take off the present

pusher and centrically replace with
the pusher from the 8440091 set.
Afterwards screw the top back on.
ATTENTION
The exchange pusher may not be placed
onto the micro switches (silver colored
squares).

2.3 Installing the motor-drive on the
self-unloading coach:
First disassemble the wagon
by unscrewing 6 screws on the
bottom, the running gear and the
vehicle body. If you are remodel-
ling the self unloading coach with
function (#41610) you will now
have to remove the old electronic.
You also need to relocate the cur-
rent collector in one of the bogies
to the opposite side and expand
the cutout for the contact pin.
In order to relocate the current
collector you need to turn th e
contact wire by 180* so that it

dem Unterboden in Fahrwerk und
Wagenkasten. Sofern sie den
Selbtsentladewagen mit Funktion
(#41610) umbauen ist nun die alte
Elektronik zu entfernen. Zudem ist
die Stromabnahme in einem der
Drehgestelle auf die gegenüber
liegende Seite zu versetzen und
der Durchbruch für den Kontakt-
stift zu erweitern. Beim Versetzen
der Stromabnahme ist zudem der
Kontaktdraht um 180° zu drehen,

onto the pin on the vehicle body.
Therefore the switch handle of the
vehiclemechanichastotintothe
pusher of the motor-drive.
2.4 Connecting to a (Function)
Decoder
The motor-drive can now be
connected using plugs, screws or
soldering depending on the speci-
cdecoderasdescribedinchapter
3 of the pantograph instruction
manual. Please also check the
instructionmanualofthespecic
decoder.
Den mit der neuen Montageplatte
versehenen Antrieb befestigen
sie nun mit den mitgelieferten
Schrauben auf den Zapfen am
Wagenkasten. Dabei muss der
Stellhebel der Wagenmechanik in
den Schieber des Antriebs passen.
2.4 Anschluss an einen (Funktions-)
Decoder
Der Antrieb kann nun je nach
verwendetem Decoder wie in der
unter Ziffer 3 der Anleitung des
Pantografenantriebes beschrieben
mit Stecker, Schraubverbindung
oder Löten mit diesem verbunden
werden. Beachten sie hierzu auch
