QUICK START GUIDE:
1. Download the latest version of the VERT App
from the App Store.
2. Open the App and go to Settings -> VERT
sensors
3. To sync your VERT unit, simply touch “connect”
and your VERT unit is synced with your smart
device.
4. Personalize your App: Go to settings under my
profile and set up your Picture and Name, you Jersey
Number and more!
5. Visit www.myvert.com for app Instructions.
COMMON PROBLEMS:
• Works with the following devices: iPhone 4S, iPhone 5,
iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, IPod Touch 5th Gen.
• Does not currently work with: Android: Samsung S3, S3
Mini, S4, Note 2, HTC and Motorola phones.
• When pairing VERT unit, the VERT unit must be near
your smart device.
• Make sure the VERT unit is CHARGED so that you can
see it on your VERT sensor screen in Settings.

FAQ:
Q: What is the number in the middle of my screen?
A: The number in the middle of your screen is the last
VERT jump height that the VERT unit registered.
Q: What are the other measurements on the side of
my profile picture?
A: There are (3) other measurements on the side of your
profile picture. The first is your “BEST” vertical
measurement. The second is the “AVERAGE” vertical
jump measurements for your entire session. The third is
your “AMOUNT” of vertical jumps in your entire session.
Q: When using the VERT App sometimes the vertical
jump is not immediately recorded?
A: This happens when signal quality is POOR. The VERT
device will store that last vertical jump and send it to your
smart device as soon as it is back in range. The standard
range is 50-100 feet. Your range increasingly substantially
in a closed environment. TEST YOUR RANGE!

PERFORMANCE:
During out testing of the VERT unit, we experienced a
standard range of 50-100 feet. We did experience a
distance measurement as far as 250+ feet, but the VERT
device is designed using Bluetooth that is more adequate
for close range performance. Open areas such as an
outside basketball court will reduce the Bluetooth signal of
the device. It's best to be closer to your smart device than
far away. Reception quality is dramatically improved in
close proximity.
To do your own distance testing, have someone hold your
smart device and count out how far you are away from
that person during a vertical jump.
Think of your Bluetooth connection to your VERT unit the
same as you do with a car. When you are inside your car,
pairing and quality of the smart device is a lot better then
when you are standing outside of your car or walk away
from your car.
Metal objects around or close to VERT unit or the smart
device can disturb and block the signal. Avoid covering
VERT unit with anything made out of metal.

iPhone 5, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, and IPod Touch 5th
Generation.
We expect the following release out in the near future:
Android: Samsung S3, Note 2, S3 Mini, Samsung S4,
HTC and Motorola phones with Bluetooth Smart support.
