Important
Read entire instructions before installing kit. Confir all
parts listed are included in kit. If parts are issing,
contact source fro who kit was purchased. All parts in
kit will not be used in so e installations.
 Mechanical experience is required to install kit.
 Depending on installers knowledge and skill,
installation can take fro one to three hours.
 Transfer food to an alternate cooling source. Check
refrigerator warranty certificate for specific coverage.
Warranty does not cover food loss.
 If unable to solve a proble during installation, contact
source fro who kit was purchased.
Decorator Panel Dimensions
Listed below are required height and width di ensions for
decorator panels. Panels are not supplied with this kit but
can be purchased locally.
To avoid personal injury or property da age, total panel
weight on a single door should not exceed 30 pounds
(14 kg).

Procedure
WARNING
!
To avoid electric shock which can cause severe
personal injury or death, observe the following:
 Disconnect power to refrigerator before re oving
doors. Connect power only after replacing doors.
Removing Refrigerator Door
1. Unplug power cord fro power source.
2. If handle is installed on refrigerator door, re ove
handle by tapping botto edge upward with a soft
allet.
 If installing HK521 kit, proceed to "Installing
Refrigerator Handle, Tri , and Door" section.
3. Re ove top hinge cover by re oving Phillips screw.
 Retain cover and screws for later replace ent.
4. Re ove top hinge by re oving 5/16" (7.9 ) hex
head screws.
5. Lift refrigerator door fro center hinge pin.
CAUTION
!
Reversing Refrigerator Door
If door is not being reversed, proceed to "Installing
Refrigerator Handle, Tri , and Door" section.
1. Re ove cabinet plugs with flat blade screwdriver tip
wrapped in asking tape. Transfer cabinet plugs to
opposite side of cabinet.
2. Re ove center hinge by re oving 5/16" (7.9 )
hex head screws. Transfer center hinge to opposite
side of cabinet.
To avoid da age to doors, place doors on a
nonabrasive surface protected by towels or rugs.
3. Re ove door stop with Phillips screwdriver. Transfer
door stop to opposite edge of door.

Installing Refrigerator Handle, Trim, and
Door
1. Re ove handle plugs fro sides of door.
 If handle was installed on refrigerator, plugs will
only be on the non-handle side of the door.
2. Install clips on both sides of door.
 If installing the handle only, proceed to step 11.
8. Install door extension on top of refrigerator door
using 1/4" (6.3 ) hex head screws.
9. Install top tri on refrigerator door using T-15 Torx®*
screws.
3. Install botto tri on refrigerator door using T-15
Torx®* screws.
4. Install hinge side tri on door by aligning notches of
tri with clips on side of door.
 Tab end ust be towards front of refrigerator.
 Slide tri down until tri locks into place.
 Tap top of tri with rubber allet to insure snug
fit.
5. Replace door on center hinge.
6. Replace top hinge by replacing 5/16" (7.9 ) hex
head screws.
 Top hinge and cover for left swinging door is
provided with HTK531 and needs to be installed
on left side of cabinet.
7. Replace top hinge cover by replacing Phillips screw.
10. Install refrigerator panel by sliding panel in fro
handle side of door.
11. Install new door handle by aligning notches of
handle with clips on side of door.
Slide handle down until handle locks into place.
Tap top of handle with rubber mallet to insure snug
fit.
Removing Pullout Drawer
1. Pull drawer open to full extension. Re ove Phillips
screw fro each side of rail syste .
2. Re ove lower basket by lifting basket fro rail
syste .

3. Pull upper basket out to full extension and lift up to
re ove.

Spacer
4. Lift top of drawer to unhook door supports fro rail
syste and lift drawer out to re ove.
Installing Handle and Pullout Drawer
1. Re ove hole plugs fro side of drawer.
2. Install clips on both sides of drawer.
3. Install botto tri on drawer using T-15 Torx®*
screws.
4. Install non hinge side tri on drawer by aligning
notches of tri with clips on side of door.
Slide trim down until trim locks into place.
Tap top of trim with rubber mallet to insure snug fit.
5. Install panel sliding panel in fro top of drawer.
6. Install hinge side tri by sliding tri down onto
clips.
7. Install handle using T-15 Torx®* screws.
 If installing HK521 handle kit only, install spacer
under handle.

8. Pull both rails out to full extension.
9. Hook door supports into rail tabs, as illustrated, and
lower door into final position.
10. With drawer pulled out to full extension, insert lower
basket by aligning tabs on both side of lower basket
with notches in rail asse bly.
11. Slide upper basket into unit. Make sure that rear of
basket hooks behind rail catch.
