a) SAFETY
a) PERSONAL SAFETY
This pump is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision.
Children being supervised not to play with the appliance(For NON-EU market only)
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision. (For EU market only)
If supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid hazard.
The pump must to be supplied through a residual currentdevice (RCD) having a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA.

The immersion pump is designed for private use in the house and garden. It must only be operated
within the framework of the deployment limitations in accordance with the technical data.

Do not use the pump without a residual-current device
The pump must be used with 220V~240V AC Power supply, as indicated on the rating plate.
Do not use the power cable for carrying the pump or for unplugging.
Make sure that electric connections are protected from humidity.
Avoid dry-running of the pump. Never use the pump if suction hose is obstructed.
It is strictly forbidden to pump corrosive, easily combustible, aggressive or explosive liquids (such as
gas, petroleum or nitro thinner), saltwater and food

Do not use the pump if safety devices are damaged or depleted. Never deactivate safety devices.

1.To be checked before you start
Pumps have been designed to suck clear water only.
Drain pumps have been designed to suck clear water or dirty water with particles.
The pump must be installed on a flat and solid surface.
It is not suitable for professional use
2. GETTING STARTED
2.1)Connect a discharge pipe with a diameter at least equal to the diameter of the pump outlet

2.2)Immerse the pump in the liquid to be sucked, by making an angle of 45 degrees (to reduce the amount of
air trapped in the pump body). If the pump rests on the bottom, make sure it is on a flat and stable surface.
2.3)Make sure that no one is present in the liquid to be pumped

5. USE AND DESTINATION OF THE PUMP
Your pump is designed for domestic use. It can be used to remove or transferring.
Your pump must not be used in following situations:
- Water temperature to be sucked > 35°C
-Drinking water supply or washing machines for dishes supply
- Corrosive, easily combustible, aggressive or explosive liquids (such as gasoline, petroleum or nitro thinner),
saltwater, oils and greases must not be pumped
- Permanent submersion under 3 meters or more water
6. CARE & MAINTENANCE
- In case of temporary installation, the pump must be cleaned up with clear water after use.

- In case of permanent installation, it is necessary to check every 3 months that start mechanism is working
properly (float switch or sensor).
- Regularly remove dirt that may accumulate in the sump.
- Do not expose to frost.
- Avoid dry run.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the pump.
- Clean the pump regularly if aspirated liquid cause sediments.
- Avoid shocks, do not let the pump fall.
7. TROUBLESHOOTING

9. GUARANTEE
This pump is guaranteed for 1years from the date of purchase.
Conditions of validity of the warranty: The unit must always be handled properly according to the instructions of
this manual. The unit must not have been modified or have been repaired by any person other than authorized

Warranty no longer applies in the following cases:
- Non-compliance with the instructions (especially non-protection against freezing, pumping sand, dry running,

incorrect electrical connection ...)
- Attempting to repair the machine
- Changes in the technical elements of the pump
- Use of replacement parts other than original.
- Damage / malicious (fall or dents on the unit).
- Inappropriate use (eg industrial, continuous operation), and in particular passage of hard and heavy particles
(stones), passage of an excessive amount of sand, salt water, water with high lime content ...
- Lack of maintenance or cleaning
Parts not covered by the warranty (if these parts are supplied with the pump)
Rope suspension, fitting.
A repair or exchange with a new product during the warranty period does not extend the original warranty
period.
Management of equipment under warranty is provided by the supplier of the product. The product must be
accompanied by all accessories and receipt or original invoice and a letter explaining the reason for return or
the trouble symptoms observed.
Spare parts: MEDAS strives to provide the main parts for this product on and off warranty period. The planned
duration of five years from the date of manufacture, which appears on the rating plate of the product.
