The Miccus Pool Party SPX9 is a 2+1 portable Bluetooth® wireless speaker that provides the latest in
splash protection and water resistance. Perfect for use in the bathroom at the beach, by the pool and
more. 2+1 means that in addition to the 2 front fired speakers there is a rear mounted bass radiator to
give you full fidelity in a portable all weather package. The SPX9 pairs easily with any Smartphone,
tablet, PC or other transmitter that supports stereo audio (A2DP) over Bluetooth® wireless.

Quick Start:
Power on: Press and hold Power ON/OFF button for 3 seconds.
1. The SPX Speaker will automatically enter pairing mode and begin searching for other Bluetooth
wireless enabled devices.
2. In the Bluetooth settings of your Smartphone, tablet, or media player switch Bluetooth ON and
select the option to “Search for Devices”.
3. Find & select (tap) “Miccus SPX” on your Smartphone/Tablet to complete a successful pairing. (If
prompted for a passcode use 0000.)
4. Once the pairing is complete and the Bluetooth connection made you will hear a “beep” tone from
the speaker.
5. Now navigate to your music player or music app, press play and enjoy your music wirelessly.
6. For reconnection ensure Bluetooth is enabled and then press the Multi-function button to power
the speaker on and it will look for the last paired device first.
Note:
If you are using a Bluetooth transmitter such as the Miccus Mini-jack TX then put them both into
pairing mode and set them next to each other, they will automatically negotiate and connect.
**For optimal performance the battery should be fully charged before first use.
Getting Acquainted
(1) MULTI-FUNCTION BUTTON: Power ON/OFF, Play/Pause, Answer/End a call
- Power On/Off: Press and hold for 3 seconds or until you hear chimes
- Play/Pause: When music is playing, press to pause playback, press again to play.
- Answer Call: Press to answer incoming calls press again to hang up; the SPX9
features built in microphone with hands free technology for phone calls.
(2) BACK BUTTON: press for previous track
(3) NEXT BUTTON: press for next track
(4) VOL (-) BUTTON: press to adjust volume down
(5) VOL (+) BUTTON: press to adjust volume up
(6) LED INDICATOR:
- Solid Red: During Re-charging
- Red blinking (slowly): low battery
- Red blinking (quickly): when pressing VOL (+) or VOL (-) to adjust volume.
- White blinking (quickly): searching in auto pairing mode
- White blinking (slowly): pairing successful
(7) MICROPHONE: With a phone connected, the SPX9 can be used as a speaker
phone.
(8) AUX-IN JACK: use a cabled connection to other audio devices.
(9) USB CHARGING PORT (5V DC): charge USB compatible external devices.
(10) MICRO USB PORT: Incoming USB connection for battery recharge only

Charging the Battery:
The built-in Lithium Ion battery uses Micro USB to recharge, for optimal charging use the included USB
wall adapter or any USB wall or car adapter that outputs a minimum of 5V @1Amp or higher. The red
LED will be solid during charging and turn off when charging is complete. Play time is between 4-5 hours
on a full battery charge; the speaker is functional while charging or connected to power.

Warning:
Do not immerse the speaker in any liquid or pour any liquid directly on it.
Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, and stoves.
For protection during lightning storm, unplug the speaker from any electrical outlet.
Unplug this device when not used for long periods of time.
Place the speaker in a stable location to avoid falls which can cause damage.
Unplug the speaker from the electrical outlet before cleaning it with a damp cloth.
