installed and grounded according to all local building and electrical codes and

ordinances.
Safet precautions for charging
CAUTION: Use the correct external power source when using charging devices
powered from AC line voltage. A charging device should only be operated from the
type of power source indicated on its electrical ratings label. If you are not sure of the
type of power source required, consult an authorized service provider or local power
company. Refer to the User Manual or Quick Start Guide for information regarding
charging of the MX-LOCare GPS Locator.
BATTERY: Your MX-LOCare GPS Locator incorporates a Lithium-ion Polymer battery
that can only be serviced by MobilMAX Technology Inc. or its authorized Affiliates.
There is a risk of fire or burns if the battery is handled improperly. Do not attempt to
open or service the battery. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture the case, dispose of
in fire or water, or expose the MX-LOCare GPS Locator to temperatures higher then
60C 140F).
WARNING: Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly serviced. To
reduce the risk of fire or burns, do not disassemble, crush, puncture,
dispose of in fire or water, or expose the MX-LOCare GPS Locator to
temperatures higher then 60C 140F).

Contact MobilMAX Technology or one of its authorized Affiliates on how to service or
dispose of the Locator.
Safet precautions for direct sunlight
Keep this product away from excessive heat or extreme temperatures. Do not leave
the product inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 60C 1
40F), such as a car or dashboard, window sill, or behind a glass that is exposed to
direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time. This may
damage the product, overheat the battery, or pose risk to the vehicle or vehicle
occupants.
Safet in aircraft
Due to the possible interference caused by this product to an aircraft’s navigation

and communication systems or networks, using the Locator cellular or Bluetooth
function is against the law in many countries or prohibited by airline operators.
Remember to power off the locator before boarding the aircraft, please refer to the
USER MANUAL for detail.
Safet in explosive atmospheres
When in an area with a potentially explosive atmosphere or where flammable
materials exist, remember to power off the Locator to reduce the possibility of sparks
which could result in bodily injury or death. Users are strongly advised not to use the
Locator at refuelling points such as service or gas stations, and should observe all
notices and restrictions on the use of radio equipment in fuel depots, chemical plants,
or where blasting operations are in progress.
Exposure to radio frequenc (RF) signals
Your MX-LOCare GPS Locator contains a cellular radio and other radios, each
incorporating a transmitter and receiver. When either of these radios is on, they
receive or transmit RF energy. When the device communicates over the cellular
network, the network system controls the power level at which the Locator responds.
When the device communicates with another Bluetooth device, the power level and
communications intervals are tightly controlled by the locator so as not to exceed
regulatory requirements.
The radiated power is far below the internationally established radio frequency
exposure limits. These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines and establish
permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The guidelines are based on
safety standards previously set by international safety bodies including: American
National Standards Institute ANSI) IEEE. C95.1-1992; National Council on Radiation
Protection and Measurement NCRP). The standards include a substantial safety
margin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
Your MX-LOCare GPS Locator was designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to
radio frequency waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines
were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP) and include
safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons regardless of age and
or health.
The guidelines use a unit of measure known as Specific Absorption Rate SAR). The
SAR limit for your device is 4.OW/Kg@10g when measured at the extremity. The

highest SAR value for this device when tested was 3.075W/Kg@10g.
SAR is measured utilizing the device’s highest transmitting power, the actual SAR of
this device while operating normally is typically below the indicated values above.
This is mainly due to the automatic changes to the power level of the device to
ensure it only uses the minimum power required to communicate with the cellular
network.
*NOTE: The MX-LOCare GPS Locator has been shown to be compliant for localized
specific absorption rate SAR) for uncontrolled environment/general exposure
limits specified in ANSl/lEE Std. C951- 1992 and had been tested in accordance
with the measurement procedures specified in IEEE152B- 2003, and OET Bulletin
65 Supp. C.
Interference with medical equipment functions
This product may cause medical equipment malfunction. The use of this device is
forbidden in most hospitals and medical clinics.
If you use any other personal medical device, consult the device manufacturer to
determine if they are adequately shielded from external radio frequency RF) energy.
Your physician may be able to assist you in obtaining this information.
Power off the device when in health care facilities when any regulations posted
instruct you to turn off your cellular phones. Hospitals or health care facilities may be
using equipment that could be sensitive to external RF energy. To power off the
device, please reference the user manual.
Exposure to water
This product was designed to be waterproof to a depth of 1m 3 feet) or 0.1 ATM
above standard atmospheric pressure measured at sea level, it may be worn for
bathing, showing and swimming continuously up to one hour. Exceeding the depth or
continuous exposure may result in water infiltration and damage to your product.
WARNING; if water or any other fluid enters the Locator, stop using it
immediately to avoid the possibility of fire or burns.

Pacemakers
For the purposes of the following recommendations, the MX-LOCare GPS Locator can
be considered similar in function to a handheld wireless phone.
The Health Industry Manufacturers Association recommends that a minimum
separation distance of 15cm 6 inches) be maintained between a handheld wireless
phone and a pacemaker to avoid potential interference with the pacemaker. These
recommendations are consistent with the independent research by and
recommendations of Wireless Technology Research.
Persons with pacemakers:
‧ Should ALWAYS keep the wireless device more than 15cm 6 inches) from their
pacemaker.
‧ If powered but not worn, should not carry the device in a breast pocket.
‧ Should use the ear opposite the pacemaker to minimize the potential for
interference. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place,
remove the device from your body and separate your self from the device by a
minimum of 15cm 6 inches).
