12. Um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, tauchen Sie
das Gerät nicht in Flüssigkeiten ein.
13. Versuchen Sie keine Arbeiten, die über die
Kapazität dieses Geräts hinausgehen.
14. Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am Stromkabel.

BEDIENUNGSANWEISUNG
Das Gerät einschalten
Mit dem Daumen den Ein-/Ausschalter in Richtung
Griff drücken und festhalten.
Das Gerät ausschalten
Lassen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter los. Der Schalter
geht wieder in die Ausgangsposition und schaltet sich
aus.
Den Grill anzünden
A. füllen Sie den Grill mit Kohle
B. Stecken Sie den MONO Lighter in die Kohlen
C. Ziehen Sie den Mono-Lighter zurück sobald
die ersten Funken kommen. In einem Abstand
von 10 cm.
D. Richten Sie den Mono-Lighter auf das Glutnest.
WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG
Reinigen Sie das Gerät bei Bedarf mit einem trock-
enen Tuch, nachdem sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat.
Bitte lagern Sie das Gerät nur in trockenen und
geschlossenen Räumen.
WARNUNG!
Ziehen Sie den MONO Lighter leicht nach hinten,
wenn Funken oder Glut entstehen. Der MONO
Lighter kann nicht im Feuer bleiben, da sonst die
Metallummantelung der Düse schmilzt.
Holzkohle gibt es in vielen Formen und Materialien.
Die Zündungszeit unterscheidet sich je nach Material
und Produktionsqualität.
Leider gibt es nach wie vor zu viel Holzkohle von
geringer Qualität. Ursachen hierfür sind zum Beispiel,
unorganisierte Produktionsabläufe oder zu rasant
wachsende Bäume. Qualität lässt sich schnell und
gut erkennen, durch das Anzünden der Holzkohle.
Qualitätskohle glüht schnell (ohne Funken) und lässt
sich in wenigen Minuten mit dem MONO LIGHTER
starten. Selbstverständlich lassen sich auch Briketts
in nur wenigen Minuten, mit dem MONO LIGHTER
anzünden. Briketts garantieren für ein langzeitiges
Grillvergnügen.

Please read these operating
instructions before using the
appliance for the first time and
keep them with the appliance
at all times.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
1. This appliance is not designed for industrial or
tradeapplications. Do not use the appliance to per-
form applications for which it is not designed.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without adult supervision.
Young children should be supervised to ensure they
do not play with it.
3. Children and other visitors should be kept well
away from the work area and should not be permitted
to handle the appliance or power cable.
4. Do not use when tired or fatigued.
5. Ensure the work area is well ventilated.
6. Do not use in the rain or in wet or damp conditions.
7. This appliance should be stored in a dry, safe area
where children do not have access.
8. Ensure that the power source conforms to the
requirements stated on the name plate of the appli-
ance.
9. Check the position of power cables before com-
mencing work ensuring that it is positioned to the rear
of the machine.
10. For pauses in work for more than 30 minutes, dis-
connect the power cord from the mains power supply.
11. Never point the tip at people or animals.
12. To avoid personal injury do not submerge the
appliance in any liquid.
13. Do not attempt tasks beyond the capacity of this
appliance.
14. Do not force the appliance to do applications it is
not designed for.
15. Do not carry the appliance by the power cable.
This may cause damage or electric shock.
16. Do not pull the plug out of the power supply by
using the power cable.
17. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp objects.
18. The power supply cable should be regularly
checked and if damaged should be repaired by an
authorized electrical specialist
19. For your own safety it is important that an author-
ized electrical specialist carry out any repairs to this
appliance.
20. Disconnect the appliance from the mains before
cleaning or maintaining the appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Switching on
Using your thumb, push the On/Off switch (1) towards
the handle and hold. After a few minutes the device
will have reached operating temperature.
Switching off
Release the On/Off switch (1). The switch will slide
back into the starting position and switch itself off.
Light the barbeque
A. Always make a pile of the coal or briquettes.
B. Touch the pile of coal with the fire starter.
C. Draw back the fire starter a little bit when sparks
appear (after 10-20 seconds).
D. Continue to point the fire starter in the same
direction for at least 60 seconds.
Light the fireplace
A. Place small logs or branches.
B. Touch with the fire starter (or put a small piece
of newspaper between the logs).
C. Draw back the fire starter when flames appear.
D. Continue pointing the fire starter in the same
direction.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
If necessary, please use dry cloth clean your appliance
after unplug and cool down. The appliance is not
intended to be left outdoor, please store indoor only.
WARNING!
Pull the fire starter slightly backwards when
sparks or glow appear. Fire starter can not stay in
fire. Otherwise, the metal cover of the nozzle will
be melted.
Charcoal comes in many forms and materials. There
are charcoal, briquettes, lump charcoal, heat beads,
hard wood etc. The time to ignite and get them white
and ready to use differs depending on material and
production quality.
If we start with charcoal it is mostly made from wood.
Much of the charcoal on the market is of bad quality,
maybe made from fast growing trees and often chilled
with water to speed production. Bad quality charcoal
does spark when ignited (which is not dangerous but
perhaps not so fun). Charcoal that is produced from
hard wood will take longer to ignite and get ready to
use.
Good quality charcoal lights quickly without sparks,
gets ready to use in a couple of minutes with the fire
starter and burns during a longer period. Briquettes is
pulverized charcoal that’s compressed with corn
starch to bind the charcoal.
Briquettes produce smoke (it’s the starch) but ordi-
nary charcoal is smokeless. Some producers com-
press their briquettes very hard which makes them
burn much longer (up to four hours), but on the other
hand also takes longer time to light and get ready for
cooking. Only use such briquettes when you need to
barbecue for many hours.
