InstallationProcedure:
2. Place unit in designated Equipment Room or Area. Place rubber pads under each foot of the
pumping station. Secure unit to the floor with provided 3/8” x 2 ¾” anchors.
3. This unit should be as close as possible to the device that it is supplying.
4. Connect the Three Phase Power Supply from each motor starter to each motor on the pumping
station. The wire connections must be securely fastened together. Wire nuts are unreliable. Use
Bolted or crimped connections with electrical tape.). Verify wiring connections with diagram
labeled on the electric motor. Follow all safety precautions.
5. Connect the necessary high-pressure hose(s) (rated minimum 2000 psi) from the regulator on the
pumping station to the prep gun stand or ceiling boom.
Start-UpProcedures:
A) Fill polyethylene tank with water; be sure the water is on. The water temperature should not exceed
140oF.
B) Before starting the Pump, make sure that all connections are tight and that the discharge system is
open.
C) Check for oil in pump. Level should be 1” from top.
D) Turn the unit on, (keeping hands and loose clothing away from unit at all times). Allow unit to run
for at least 2 minutes.
E) Turn adjusting bolt CW to desired pressure by reading gauge. Refer to page 1 for your unit
operating pressure.
F) Once desired pressure is set, tighten jam nut on the regulator.
G) Never exceed 900 psi on unit.
OperatingAdjustment:
1. Clean out all debris in the reservoir. Fill the reservoir with water (less than 140°F). Ensure that the
water supply valve is opened.
2. Open the regulator to allow all air to escape from the pump prior to starting. Turn regulator handle
CCW to open.
3. Check for oil in pump. Level should be 1” from the top of the pump casing. Add oil if necessary.
4. Rotational direction of the electric motor does not affect pump performance or operation.
1. Attach 1” water supply line to the Float Valve mounted on the keep fill tank. It is preferable to
place a filter in the supply line to ensure clean water is delivered to this system.

5. Open the solenoids to the tunnel equipment to prevent deadheading the pump. Remove all nozzles
from tunnel equipment to prevent any clogging. Turn the pumping station on. Let the unit run for
two full minutes. Stop pumping station and check lines and fittings for any leaks.
6. Replace any nozzles on the tunnel equipment that were removed. Start the pumping station and
turn the regulator CW to increase pressure. Closely monitor the gauge pressure to prevent over
pressurization. Increase pressure to 900 psi. Tighten jam nut.
WARNING!
DO NOT OPERATE THE PREP SYSTEM AT PRESSURES ABOVE
1000PSI AT THE WAND SPRAY NOZZLE
OPERATING AT HIGHER PRESSURE MAY BE HARMFUL IN THE EVENT
OF OVERSPRAY ONTO SOMEONE
8. If pump is located where temperature might drop below 45°F, use S.A.E. 5W30 oil in pump.
