I. Equipment Introduction
Thank you for purchasing and using the AIS-4 Compressed Air Microbial Sampler, which
represents the latest concept of compressed air microbiological testing
AIS-4 of compressed air microbial sampler is based on Anderson impact principle of
ntaa highly efficient porous compressed air microbial sampler, according to the const
erspeed sampling theory design to get accurate.sampling results. When the samples we
hetcollected, the compressed air was subjected to the step-down limit treatment, and
2.9 m /1microbial particles mixed in the compressed gas were impacted at a rate of 12.5 -
o thetsec (23.1 to 23.5 m/sec at 200 L/min) The surface of the medium is equivalent
an 1hAnderson Principle 5(Grade 6at 200L /min), ensuring that all particles larger t
ish wasdmicron (0.65 micron at 200L/ min) are all collected. After sampling, the culture
placed in aconstant temperature incubator. The culture medium creates the best
e results.lenvironment for maintaining the activity of bacteria, ensuring accurate and reliab
edium,mIn vivo microbes are in suitable environment and are well nutrient in the culture
resulting in high-speed growth. Finally, the experimental results are obtained.

1.touch button description:
Start key: OK, enter the sample
Menu key: toggle menu settings
Select key: toggle the currently selected digit, enter the record in the main interface
Return key: return to the main interface
▲: set the number or option plus one
▼: Set the number or option minus one
2.Sampling steps:
(1) Preparation of Petri dishes: Please select the medium required for microbial culture
according to the requirements of the experiment and prepare the corresponding plate.
Before starting sampling, make sure that the storage temperature of the sampling petri dish
is at the appropriate temperature.
(2) Sterilization: Unplug the gas dispersing head and reverse the rotation to remove the
sampling head for sterilization (see section 3 of this chapter) and check that no petri dishes
are placed on the dish. After sterilization, return the sampling head to the original position

of the instrument and cover the gas dispersing head.
(3) access to the catheter: make the compressed gas (tank) through the catheter access to
the instrument behind the left side of the interface, while the right side of the interface to
maintain the catheter connected to the gas distribution head.
(4) Power on: turn on the power switch, the screen lights into the main interface, keep the
default "program-controlled sampling" mode unchanged, press the "Start" button.
(5) Sampling gas group number setting: Press "▲" "▼" to change the code of the
sampling gas group (0 ~ 99), press "Select" key to switch the digital bit, set the press
"Start" to the next step The (The group number is only saved as a sampling gas type code
to this record for later review)
(6) Sampling volume setting: the same use of "▲" "▼" to change the size of the sample,
use the "Select" button to switch the digital bit, set the press "Start" to the next step.
(7) Adjust the flow to the specified value: the internal intake solenoid valve has been
opened, the airway is in a smooth state, please open the external compressed gas (tank)
valve, compressed gas will be through the air inlet →pressure control valve →gas
flow (See section 4 of this chapter). After adjustment, press "Start" to proceed to the next
step. Adjust the gas flow meter and the air pressure regulating valve to match the flow rate
(see section 4 of this chapter).
(8) Start sampling: At this time the internal intake solenoid valve is temporarily closed,
please open the sampling head, put into the culture dish, and then cover the sampling head,
press the "start" button to start sampling, the screen shows the current sampling volume
And the remaining time.
(9) Remove the Petri dish: At the end of the sampling there will be buzzer reminder, the
internal intake solenoid valve closed again, the screen prompts the sampling is completed,
the sampling record automatically saved, please open the rotary probe, remove the culture
dish, Culture dish cover, affixed with a label or write the number, and culture the plate in
incubator in accordance with the detection requirements .
(10) self-purification mode: the screen also prompts whether to enter the self-purification
mode, under normal circumstances recommended after sampling at least 1 minute to

7
reduce the sampling process to reduce the airway residue. Please click "▲" "▼" key to
change the self-purification time, and then press "Start" to start the self-purification. Note
that during the self-purification process, the barometric pressure source is still an external
compressed gas (tank). Do not disconnect the external compressed gas. In addition, if you
still need to continue to repeat the same compressed gas sampling, you can not directly
press "back" to start the next sampling.
(11) Sampling is completed: Please close the external compressed gas (tank) after the
valve, then the intake duct from the back of the instrument pull out.
Sampling precautions.3
The AIS-4 of compressed air microbial samplers can not be used for toxic, corrosive, (1)
flammable and explosive gases, if necessary, please contact the manufacturer or agent to
. purchase other models
Sterilization: The porous sampling head can be sterilized by autoclaving at 121 °C (2)
for 30 minutes (or wiped with 75% alcohol) at the high pressure steam sterilizer. The gas
dispersing head, the Petri dish and the appearance of the instrument are also used 75%
alcohol for wipe sterilization. After each sampling test, if you want to continue sampling
another compressed gas (cans), you need to repeat the sterilization treatment.
(3) When installing the Petri dish, the dish must be stuck in the center of the base and the
bottom of the dish is pressed down to the base.
(4) Pressing the "return" key before sampling is complete will forcibly terminate the
sampling operation. The internal airway solenoid valve will be automatically closed and
the sampling volume will be stopped, but the sampling record will be saved.
4.Device instructions
Catheter Interface: Gas duct interface with easy to plug can be replaced design, pull out
when you need to press the interface of the blue plastic ring, and then pull out the catheter,
and insert the catheter directly into the reverse pull the catheter To strengthen the blue
plastic ring sealing effect.
Pneumatic control valve: the left side of the instrument for the air pressure adjustment

knob, adjust the need to pull the knob out slightly, counterclockwise rotation to open the
air flow channel, clockwise rotation to close the air flow channel.
Gas flowmeter: the right side of the gas flow meter below a flow adjustment knob, the
same counter-clockwise rotation to open the air flow channel, clockwise rotation to close
the air flow channel.
Purifier: the purifier for the consumables, after a long period of use, the purification effect
will be reduced, it is recommended to use the time accumulated for 200 hours or more
than a year after the replacement. When replacing, remove the top side of the baffle screws,
remove the purifier from the instrument, remove the clamp with a screwdriver to remove
the purifier tube, take a new purifier and push it back into the instrument. Into the
compressed gas into the self-purification mode to check the phenomenon of no leakage,
and finally lock the baffle screws.

IX. Maintenance and Precautions
1. Do not use in a strong acid and alkali environment, not in the dust concentration greater
than 0.3mg / m3 in the use of the environment.
2. After use, to clean the sampling head and gas dispersing head with alcohol, and cover
the gas dispersion head to the sampling head.
3. In the clean stainless steel shell, you can first use mild soapy water to clean, and then
gently wipe with a soft cloth (if bacterial contamination, with 70% isopropyl alcohol
solution). Please do not use acid, alkali and chlorine solution and salt solution to clean the

10
stainless steel shell, please also avoid the organic solvent damage to the instrument.
4. Do not use scouring or scraping in the way of cleaning, or easy to cause irreversible
damage to the instrument.
5. If you wish to use the cleaning method not mentioned above, consult the manufacturer
or agent to determine if the method used will damage the instrument.
6. The display shows that when the battery power is low (the battery is displayed as
empty), it indicates that the battery is low and must be used after charging. If forced air is
used, the battery life will be shortened.
7. When the device is not in use for a long time, it should be placed in the box when it is
fully charged.
