CUSTOMISING YOUR TABLET
EXTENDED HOME SCREEN
Android features an extended Home screen. You can swipe left and right between home panels to navigate
between them.
CHANGE THE WALLPAPER
To change the wallpaper, hold your finger on the screen at an empty location, then choose from the available list.
You can choose to have a static picture or “live” animated wallpaper.
ZOOM FUNCTIONALITY
In some applications (such as Browser and Gallery) you can zoom in and out of the on-screen
item:
To zoom in, place two fingers on the screen at the same time and spread them apart.
To zoom out, place two fingers on the screen at the same time and pinch them together.
ARRANGE AND WORK WITH APPLICATIONS
To move a Home screen item, touch and hold your finger on it until the positioning gridlines appear, slide
it to the desired location, then remove your finger.
To remove a Home screen item, touch and hold it, then slide your finger towards the top of the screen and
drop it over the “X” (remove) icon. Removing an item from the Home screen only deletes the shortcut; the
application will remain installed on the tablet.
To uninstall an application, go to the Applications menu, touch and hold the application’s icon, then drag
it to the bin icon at the top of the screen. This will completely remove the application from the tablet.
Please note default applications (i.e. those included with the operating system) cannot be removed.

9
CREATE APPLICATION FOLDERS
You can combine several application icons in a folder. On a Home screen, drop one icon over another and the two
icons will be combined into a folder. Touch the folder to display the application icons inside it.
You can add more than two application shortcuts to a folder if you wish.
ADD WIDGETS
Widgets are like windows into your applications. A widget sits on a Home screen and displays information from an
application without you having to actually open it.
To use widgets:
1. Touch the applications menu at the top right of the Home screen.
2. Touch the “Widgets” option at the top left of the Applications screen.
3. From the main Widgets screen you can:
Move between screens; just swipe left or right to see more widgets.
