Configuring the Telephone System
The EHS interface emulates an 8LK module. To allow the Plantronics interface control over the headset
function, it is necessary to program a headset function key (05) on the first key of the 8LK interface
using programming command 15-07.
For 12/24 key terminals this will be function key 25.
For 8LD (Desi-less) and 320C terminals this will be function key 33.
When connecting the EHS link, the configuration of the telephone will alter, and the handset will be
taken out of service in TAPI. If using Unified Communications for Business, for example, a restart of the
TSP and Telephony services will be required to bring the phone into service again.
