General Information
• Read Instructions through carefully before beginning assembly.
• When handling components, place on a non-abrasive surface
(i.e. shipping box) to avoid scratching.
• We recommend an area approx 10’x 8’ (3m x 2.4m) for unobstructed handling.
Important Note:
• Please refer to local codes before installing outdoor lighting. UF-rated cable should be used for underground
wiring and all materials should be approved by the Underwriter’s Laborator (UL). New England Arbors
assumes no liability for errors, ommissionsm or the outcome of any project.

Determine the location of the post and excavate a 36” (91 cm) Deep x
8” (20 cm) Diameter hole.
Insert the wooden post and set the post in place using a bag of concrete.
While the concrete is still wet, make sure the wooden post is plumb in
both directions and support it in position until the concrete hardens.
Fill within 2“ (5 cm) of ground level as shown.
Tip: To allow water runoff, slope the concrete away from the post
as shown.
Backfill the remaining hole with previously excavated dirt.
The wooden post should stick out 60” (152 cm).

If the light fixture will be hard-wired, continue reading.
If the light fixture will not be hard-wired (i.e. solar powered), disregard
this step.
With the post on its side, run a length of cable along the outer pocket
of the extrusion as shown. Be sure to use the pocket adjacent to the
pre-drilled hole as shown.
Thread the cable through the pre-drilled hole and leave a generous
length to allow electrical hook-up to the light fixture later on.
Tip: To prevent unintentionally pulling the cable out, you may tie
the cable in a loose knot.

Pre-drilled Hole

With a helper and a step ladder, place the round post over the wooden
post as shown.
Please note that the pre-drilled hole end should be facing up.
Apply a small bead of glue around the base of the post as shown
(Approximately 4” (10 cm) from the ground).
Slide the post trim bottom over and down the post as shown.
Hold the post trim bottom in place for about 20 seconds to allow
the vinyl glue to set.

Slide the post trim followed by the post top trim as shown.
Let the two trims slide down for now as they will be glued in place in
later steps.
Attach the lamp post adapter onto the top of the post and fasten
in place with 4 screws as shown.
Note: Electrical cable should be threaded through the top of the
opening as shown.
Note: Make sure the flat side of all the trim pieces are flush to each
other.

Apply a small amount of glue to the inside of the top trim where
it would come in contact with the lamp post adapter as shown.
Slide the top trim in place and hold for 20 seconds, allowing the
vinyl glue to set.

like your post trim to be located (shown is 3” (7.6 cm))
Slide the post trim in place and hold for 20 seconds.
To install the light fixture, follow the instructions provided with the
unit.
Follow all local electrical code and when unsure, contact a licenced
electrician.
