Important Information
Intended Purpose
This product (hereinafter referred to as a blower) is designed to be attached to the split engine (to be
purchased separately) for blowing grasses, dead leaves, small stones, sands. The blower is attached to
our approved split engine.
Do not use the blower for any other purpose or in any other way.

●NIKKARI Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NIKKARI) cannot foresee all the risks in handling the
blower. Therefore, also give consideration to general safety measures not stated in this manual, split
engine manual, and engine manual to prevent accidents when handling the blower.
●The blower is a tool with a fan which is rotating at high speed to generate high-speed wind. To
decrease risk of personal injury, special safety precautions must be observed. If it is used carelessly or
inappropriately, scattered pieces of stones or sands could hit your eyes or body, which may result in a
serious accident such as sight loss.

Warranty and Disclaimer
Warranty
In the event that the blower fails due to defects of genuine parts comprising our product in material or
manufacturing within the warranty period after normal and appropriate use of the blower in accordance
with the instruction manual of the blower and split engine manual, and cautions shown on the blower
indication, NIKKARI will repair, free of charge, in accordance with the rules and regulations for the
warranty.
This blower has a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. However, the consumablessuch as blade
are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty is valid when the purchase date can be checked on the invoice, bill of carriage or ticket.
This blower will be covered by the warranty under normal use. However, the warranty will not cover the
blower if the failure occurs due to wear, inappropriate maintenance, abuse by unqualied person, misuse,
use of unspecied accessories, and overload of the blower.

NIKKARI will not be liable for any or all of the following failures or damages.
NIKKARI shall be exempted from all and any direct or indirect duties, responsibilities, and indemnities for
accidents resulting from the use of blowers exported from the purchase country.

1. Safety
1.1 Warnings
For appropriate use of the blower, follow the instructions in this manual. Warning labels are attached to
places where there are potential risks or in the periphery. The warning labels in this instruction manual are
categorized depending on the degree of risk as shown in the table below.
1.1.1 Warning Description

word is ignored, serious injury or fatal injury may result.

1.1.2 Warning Labels
Cautions for Handling
(a) This blower is provided with warning labels to indicate important cautions. Understand the
meanings of the warning labels thoroughly and work in a safe environment without accident or
failure.
(b) Do not operate the blower until you have a good understanding of the meanings of the warning
labels. If you do not understand well about the meanings, contact the sales agency.
(c) Be sure to observe the warning labels and warning messages in the instruction manual at all
times to handle the blower.
(d) Do not remove or damage the warning labels. Also, do not clean the warning labels with solvent.
(e) Do not paint the warning labels when repainting the blower.
(f) If the warning labels become illegible, damaged or removed, purchase new ones from the sales
agency, and attach them in accordance with the “■ Attached Location and Warning Labels."

1.2 General Precautions
1.2.1 Overall Precautions
When installing the blower, make sure that the knob BT is tightened.
* Otherwise, it could cause the blower to fall off.
Do not allow minors to operate the blower.
* It could cause a serious accident.
Do not modify the blower.
* It could deteriorate the performance, resulting in a serious accident due to deterioration
on safety.
Do not install any unapproved split engine to the blower.
* The blower could come off during use, resulting in a serious accident.
When renting the blower to any third person, attach the instruction manual and
attached materials to the blower.
* If it is mis-operated, a serious accident could happen.
1.2.2 Precautions on Clothes
Wear a hard hat when using or transporting the blower.
* It could cause injury to head.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using the blower.
* Otherwise, it could cause injury.
Wear a goggle when using the blower.
It is recommended to also use face shield (or face screen) together.
* If they are not used, it could cause eye injury due to scattering of chips of wood.
Wear hearing protective equipment including year mufers when using the
blower.
* Hearing loss could be developed due to noise of the engine.

1.2.3 Precautions before Operation
Do not allow children or animals to enter the working range of the blower (within
15m).
* It could cause a serious accident.
Make sure that the blower is operated normally or there is not any part missing
or cracking before starting the operation.
Especially check the movement of the throttle trigger, start/stop switch,
looseness of the connections, fuel leakage and damage of the blade, etc.
* Otherwise, a serious accident could result.
When you hit the blower against something hard such as stones, make sure
that the knob bolt is not loosened.
* Otherwise, it could cause the blower to fall off.
Do not operate the blower near the electric cable.
* Otherwise, an electric shock will be caused.
Do not use the blower in a state that the mufer is damaged, or the mufer was
changed.
* It could cause burn injury, re and hearing loss.
Before starting the operation, manually turn the fan tightening nut to make sure
that the fan rotates smoothly. If there is a problem, consult the sales agency. If
it does not rotate, some foreign objects are caught inside.
* If the blower is operated with the foreign object caught in, it could cause damage of the
blower or attachment or the parts of the broken blower scatter, resulting in injury.
When working near the car or building, keep the things around away from the
working area.
Cover the immovable thing with the heavy-duty sheets or do not operate at the area.

1.2.4 Precautions at Start-up
The split system must be started or operated by one person.
* If it is operated by more than one person, it could be mis-handled, and it could contact
with a person or objects, resulting in accident.
The split engine must be started in a non-slippery and rm place.
* Otherwise, it will cause falling.
When starting the engine, make sure there is no one or no object on the back.
After pulling the starter, slowly return the starter.
* Otherwise your elbow could hit other person or object, or the starter mechanism could
fail.
1.2.5 Precautions for Operation
When you hit the blower against stumps or walls, stop the engine, and make
sure that the blower does not have problems such as cracks. If there is a
problem, consult the service agency.
* If it is used without solving the problem, the blower could be damaged or the parts of the
broken blower scatter, resulting in injury.
While operating the blower, put up a KEEP OUT sign in a prominent place to
prevent any third person from entering within 15m of the working area.
* Otherwise, a serious accident will happen.
If some foreign objects are caught in the blower, and the fan stops rotating or
rotating speed decreases, stop the engine and consult the sales agency.
* If the blower is operated with the foreign object caught in, it could cause damage to the
blower or the parts of the broken blower scatter, resulting in injury.
Do not use the blower continuously for a long time.
* If it is operated continuously for a long time, vibration induced white nger could be
developed.
Do not scatter any object with a sharp tip.
* It could hit your body, resulting in injury.
Do not operate the blower in a closed area.
* Exhausted gas affects the health.

Do not operate the blower on insecure footings including a ladder, tree or any
other insecure support.
* You will fall off the footing, drop the blower or get contact with the blade by
inappropriately handling it, resulting in accident.
If the blower starts moving while idling, do not use the blower.
* Otherwise, an accident could happen.
If there is anything unstable (light corrugated boards or objects poorly
balanced), x such objects.
If there is an object which cannot be xed, do not work near the object.
* There is a possibility of collapse, resulting in injury.
Do not operate the blower under poor visibility including after sunset or in the
early morning.
* It could cause accidents such as contact with some objects or falling off.
Do not operate the blower by one hand.
* You could drop the blower or get contact with an object by inappropriate handling,
resulting in accident.
Do not cut grass at the position that is higher than the waist when using the
blower.
* Otherwise, you may not hold the blower appropriately or trip over, resulting in injury of
head.
Remove obstacles, and watch your step when operating the blower.
* If the footing is insecure, an accident due to tripping over or falling could happen.
Do not touch the mufer during or after the operation.
* The mufer is hot and it could cause burn injury.

1.2.6 Precautions for Maintenance
Make sure that there is no foreign object caught inside. If there is a problem,
consult the sales agency.
* If the blower is operated with the foreign object caught in, it could cause damage to the
blower or the parts of the broken blower scatter, resulting in injury.
Stop the engine before maintenance, repair or cleaning.
* If the engine starts during the work, hands or ngers could be severed by the moving
parts or fan.
Do not perform any maintenance or repair other than those described in the
instruction manual. Request the sales agency.
* Otherwise, an accident could happen.
Make sure periodically that the fuel cap is not loosened.
* If the fuel cap is loose, the fuel could leak, resulting in skin irritation due to contact with
the fuel or re accident.
1.2.7 Precautions for Transporting
Before transporting the blower, stop the engine, and make the blade stopped.
* Body, hands or ngers could be severed or objects could be damaged by contact with
the blade.
Remove obstacles, and watch your step when transporting the blower.
* If the footing is insecure, an accident due to tripping over or falling could happen.

1.2.8 Precautions for Fuel
Store the gasoline/oil/grease in a place out of reach of children.
Also, put them in a container so that the gasoline/oil/grease are not spilled and make
them distinguished to understand contents.
* When drinking them by mistake, the person could feel physically sick.
When handling the fuel, follow the instructions below.
(a) Use approved containers.
(b) Do not smoke near the fuel.
(c) Do not use re near the fuel.
(d) Open the fuel cap slowly.
(e) Do not refuel until the engine cools down.
(f) Do not refuel during operation.
(g) Do not refuel indoors.
(h) Tighten the fuel cap completely after refueling.
(i) Check if there is no oil leaking.
* Because the fuel is highly combustible, if mis-handled, there is a risk of re.
Before refueling, touch the ground or the metal embedded in the ground to
eliminate static electricity.
* If you are charged with static electricity, it could cause re due to static electricity spark.
Refer to the split engine manual for fuel to be used.
* If the kind of fuel or oil or the mixture ratio is not appropriate, the engine could be dam-
aged.
Do not discard gasoline, oil, or grease into the river, the sea, or the ground.
* Otherwise, it could pollute the environment.

1.3
Safety Devices and Protective Guard
1.3.1 Safety Devices (Stop Devices)
To stop the blower in case of an accident or abnormality, use the safety device (stop device) below and
stop the operation of the blower.
(A) Throttle Trigger
When the throttle trigger [1] is released, the engine
power will decrease, and the blower operation will
stop.
However, the blower will still move for a while (ywheel
effect). It does not immediately stop when the throttle
trigger is released.
The throttle trigger will not move unless the trigger
lockout [2] is gripped. (Interlock system)
(B) Start/Stop Switch
When the stop switch [3] is set to OFF (O side), the
engine will stop and the blower operation will stop.
However, the blower will still move for a while (ywheel
effect) and will not stop immediately after the start/stop
switch is set to OFF (O side).
1.3.2 Safety Device (Quick Release)
In case of an accident or abnormality, the brush cutter can be released from the harness or shoulder
harness by using the following safety device (quick release).
By pulling the red strap (quick release) [1] of harness,
the brush cutter will be released from the harness and
fall off.

1.4 Protective Equipment
When using the blower for blowing, always wear the following protective equipment.
(a) Hard hat
(b) Working wear (long sleeve jackets and full-length
pants of heavy material)
(c) Protective shoes (or sturdy boots with nonslip
sole) (Steel-toed safety boots are recommended.)
(d) Gloves (heavy-duty, nonslip gloves)
(e) Goggles
(f) Face shield (or face screen) (use together with
goggles is recommended)
(g) Ear mufer
Note
●Use eye protections (or goggles), ear plugs (or
ear mufers) and hard hats, etc. conformed to the
applicable standard.
●Do not wear any jewelry.
●Loop up long hair.
●If the jackets or pants are loose, tighten the cuffs or
hems.
1.5 Noise
There is a danger that a person might suffer permanent hearing loss by the sound from the blower.
A person operating the blower must use ear protection equipment including an ear mufer.
A person using the blower frequently must undergo a hearing test.
However, take care when wearing the ear protection equipment. Your ability to hear shouts or alarms is
restricted.
1.6 Vibration
Vibration generated by the blower causes vibration induced white nger (Reynaud's phenomenon) or
carpal tunnel syndrome. This will cause swelling pain or nerve paralysis of hands, and there is a risk of
affecting the hand.
To prevent such problems, do not continuously operate for a long time. Instead, take an appropriate break.

Installation and Adjustment
3.1 Installation Method
3.1.1 Combination with Split Engine
The attachment can be installed only to our approved equipment (shown below).
For detail, refer to the table below.

3.1.2 Connecting
Loosen the knob BT [2].
Insert the shaft tube [3] into the joint
case [5] until it reaches the position of
the label [4].
Make the label [4] face up, and match
the positions of the positioning hole [1]
and the positioning pin [6].
Tighten the knob BT [2].
If the knob BT [2] cannot be tightened
completely, the positions of the posi-
tioning hole [1] and the positioning pin
[6] are not matched. Loosen the knob
BT [2] for appropriate positioning, and
tighten it.

3.1.3 Removing
Loosen the knob BT [2].
Pull out the shaft tube [3].
Slightly tighten the knob BT [2] so that
it will not come off.

4. Operation
4.1 Pre-operation Check
Before operating the blower, check the following.
(a) Check the installed status of the blower unit. If it is
faulty, request us for repair.
●Check if parts (nuts, screws, etc.) are not loose, or if
it is not cracked, bent or deformed.
●Check if the fan tightening nut is tightened.
(b) Manually turn the fan tightening nut to check if it rotates
smoothly.
If it does not rotate, consult the sales agency.
(c) Check if the blower is operated appropriately. If it is faulty, request us for repair.
●Check if the throttle lever moves freely (check it always springs back to the idling position.)
●Check if the start/stop switch is operated appropriately.
●Check if any foreign object is not caught inside.
(d) Check the idling status. If it is faulty, refer to the engine or split engine manual for adjusting by yourself
or request the sales agency for adjustment or repair.
●Check if the blower does not move during idling.
●Check if the idling is normal.
(e) In addition to the above, perform the steps described in the split engine manual.
