Setting Up
USING THE NOVITA 3-IN-1 PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER
EXHAUST HOSE INSTALLATION
The 3-In-1 portable air conditioner must be placed proximity to a window or opening to channel out the
warm exhaust air when operating under cool or dry mode.
• The hole on the window slider is intended for the hose outlet connector.
• Position the unit on a flat and level surface and ensure there is a clearance space of at least 45 cm around the
unit, and proximity to the power supply.
• This product purchase is not inclusive of installation service. For installation please engage the distributors
installation contractors to arrange for appointment and quotation directly.
• To remove exhaust hose, exert some pressure to depress the
release catch and slide up the exhaust hose.

Connect the exhaust hose to the hose connector at the back of
the unit. Slide in the hose connector downwards until it is locked
in place.
Affix the hose outlet to the window slider. Ensure that all the
connections are tight and installed properly. Then connector the
window slider to the window.
WINDOW SLIDER KIT INSTALLATION
TRIMMING OF WINDOW SLIDER
The window slider kit is designed to fit most standard vertical and
horizontal window application. While if the window opening is shorter
than the minimum length of the window slider kit, user may cut the
opposite end from the hole to fit into the window opening.
• DO NOT cut from the side of the window slider with hole.
Extend one side of the exhaust hose, then rotate to
screw in the hose inlet connector. Install and rotate the
hose outlet connector over the opposite end of the
exhaust hose. Ensure secure fit on both ends.

• The unit should be placed on a dry, flat and level surface to minimize noise and vibration.
• The unit is equipped with easy roll castors to facilitate manoeuvring the unit on smooth and
flat surfaces. Please exercise caution when rolling it on carpeted surfaces and wooden flooring.

LOCATING THE UNIT
Allow a clearance space of at least 45 cm away from the wall for
unit’s optimum performance. To ensure optimal efficiency of the
unit, keep doors and windows closed when using the cool and dry
mode. When using the fan mode, an open window could help to
improve air circulation.

The exhaust hose can be extended, but it is recommended to keep the
length of the exhaust hose as short as possible.

• DO NOT attempt to roll the unit over objects.
• The unit must be placed in proximity to a properly rated grounded socket.
• DO NOT place any obstacles around the air inlet or air outlet.
• Always ensure the exhaust hose path is not blocked or obstructed to
maintain a smooth flow and operation.
• DO NOT replace, lengthen or install the exhaust hose onto the unit via
other methods, as this could result the unit to malfunction.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Before plugging the unit into the power supply, please check that:
•The main power supply corresponds to the specifications indicated on the product label at the back of the unit.
• The power source and electrical circuit are adequate for the appliance.
• Plug the unit into a properly grounded circuit. DO NOT plug into an extension cord.
• Failure to follow these important safety instructions would void the limited warranty.
For optimum unit’s performance, it is recommended to:
• Close the windows and doors in the room to be air conditioned.
• Draw the curtains/blinds to avoid direct exposure to sunlight/heat.
• Never put any objects on the unit.
• DO NOT block/obstruct the air inlet and air outlet.
• Ensure there is no heat source in the room when the unit is operating.
• DO NOT use the unit in high very damp room/environment.
• DO NOT use the unit for outdoor environment.
• Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable and levelled surface.
• Before installing the unit, place it upright for 6 hours before use to allow the refrigerant to stabilize.

02. Cool Mode
Press the button consecutively to select . Press the or button to select the preferred
temperature from 18oC to 32oC and desired fan speed (High, Medium, Low or Auto) by pressing the
button.
Under Cool Mode, unit is programmed to work in accordance to the temperature difference between the
surrounding and desired temperature setting when auto fan speed is selected.
01. Power On/Off
• Air outlet flap automatically opens when the unit is turned on, and automatically closes when the unit is turned off.
• User may adjust the air outlet flap position by using the remote control oscillation function.
• Unit is programmed to operate based on the last preceding setting.
• Press the button once again to turn off the unit. Always wait for a few minutes before removing the power
plug from the power supply. This is to allow the unit to perform a cycle of checks to verify operation.
Connect power plug to the power supply. The display screen illuminates with , indicating the unit is
on standby mode, ready to be switched on anytime. Press the button to turn on/off the unit.

• The fan speed setting difference is more obvious under Fan Mode than Cool Mode.
• Auto fan speed setting is only available under cool mode, dry mode and smart mode only.
• Under Fan Mode, the exhaust hose does not need to be installed to the unit.
• Auto Mode is unavailable at Fan Mode.

pressing the button and its corresponding indicators will be shown on the display screen.User may
also press the button on the remote control as shortcut key to access the fan mode at high fan speed
setting.

Before activating Dry Mode, please ensure the exhaust hose is properly installed onto the unit. Press the
button consecutively to select and the display screen will show . Under Dry Mode, temperature
and fan speed setting are automatically programmed and cannot be adjusted.

• When room temperature is less than 16oC, Dry Mode is unavailable and the compressor will stop operating, only
the fan motor will continue to run.

05. Smart Mode
Under Smart Mode, unit automatically select the operating mode (Cool or Fan Mode) in accordance to the
surrounding temperature.

Press the button consecutively until the unit display sreen shows the followings. Then select the
preferred fan speed (High, Medium, Low or Auto) by pressing the button.
06. Sleep Mode (Only Available on Remote Control)
Press the button on the remote control and the indicator illuminates on the remote control
display screen, while indicator illuminates on the unit control panel.
Under Sleep Mode, unit will operate in accordance to the preceding selected operating mode and the
light intensity of the display screen will be reduced.
Sleep Mode is programmed to help to maintain the surrounding temperature and it will automatically be
turned off after 8 hours of continuous operation.
To deactivate the Sleep Mode, press the , or button on the remote control.
• Sleep Mode can only be activated under Cool Mode via the remote control.
Unit is equipped with a programmable timer for an automatically turn on or turn off.
Automatic Turn On
When the unit is at standby mode, press the button on the control panel and the indicator and the
timer hours start to flash on the display screen. Press the button again consecutively to select your
preferred timer duration from 1 to 24 hours at an interval of 1 hour for an automatic turn on. Upon
activation, the indicator will illuminate.
For remote control timer setting, press the button on the remote control twice, and the display
screen will show 0.5-24 hours, concurrently, the and indicator will be flashing. Press the or
buttons to select the preferred duration and press the button once again to activate the function and
indicator will be illuminated.

Automatic Turn Off
When the unit is operating, press the button and the indicator and the timer hours start to flash on
the display screen. Press the button consecutively to select your preferred timer duration from 1 to 24
hours at an interval of 1 hour for an automatic turn off. Upon activation, the indicator will illuminate.

Press and hold both the and button on the remote control for 3 seconds to activate the childlock
function to lock the remote control and the indicator will be illuminated. To unlock, press and hold
both the and button on the remote control for 3 seconds once again, and the indicator will
stop illuminating.

10. Temperature Display
To change the temperature display unit to either Degree Celsius (oC) or Fahrenheit (oF),
press and hold both the and buttons on the control panel for 3 seconds.
Alternatively, press the button on the remote control to change the temperature display unit.
08. Oscillation (Only Available on Remote Control)
Press the button on the remote control to activate the air outlet flap oscillation function. To station the
air outlet flap at your preferred position, press the button once again.

Assemble/Replace Remote Control Batteries
• DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Remove the batteries if the remote control is not in use for a month or longer.
• All batteries should be replaced at the same time, DO NOT mix with old
batteries.
• Properly dispose the used batteries.
Remove the rear cover of the remote control. Insert 2 x AAA 1.5V battery
with the “+” and “-“ pointing in the correction direction accordingly to the
polarity markings.
Using The Remote Control
• In the event when there is an obstacle between the remote control and the
unit signal receiver, the remote control operation will be affected.
• Please handle the remote control with care. Avoid contact with water or
extreme humidity.
• The remote control become less responsive when the battery level gets
depleted. Battery replacement is recommended.
• For best cooling performance under Dry Mode, it is recommended to run
the unit under Continuous Drainage.
Point the remote control directly at the receiver on the unit. The signal
receiver effectively receives signal not more than 7 metres away from the
unit.
Water Condensation Drainage Method
When there is excess water condensation inside the unit, the unit stops operating and the indicator will
illuminate on the display screen. This indicates that the water condensation needs to be drained using the
following procedures.
MANUAL DRAINAGE FOR
COOL & DRY MODE
Unplug the unit from the power supply. Place a drain pan under the
lower drain cap. Unscrew the drain cap and remove the rubber drain
plug, water will be discharged and collected into the drain pan.
Reattach the lower drain plug firmly after the water is completely
drained out and screw back the drain cap. User may now turn on the
unit.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
FOR DRY MODE
Continuous drainage is recommended when unit it operating under
Dry Mode. Unplug the unit from the power supply. Prepare a drain
pan to collect the residual water that may be discharged from the
unit after the water plug is being removed. Connect the 1 metre
drainage hose (1/2” or 12.7 mm). The water can be continuously
drained through the drainage hose into the floor drain or bucket.
User may now turn on the unit.

Unplug the unit from the power supply.

• Prior to cleaning and maintenance, turn off the unit and wait for a few minutes before unplug it from the
power supply.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Cleaning & Maintenance of the 3-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner
• DO NOT spray water directly onto the unit.
• DO NOT use alcohol or aggressive solvent to clean the unit.
Use a slightly damp cloth to gently wipe the outer case to remove dust. Then wipe dry with a dry cloth.
Remove any inevitable dust intake at the drainage outlets to prevent it from being clogged.

Slide the pre-filter screens underneath the
respective air inlet grilles catch. Exert some
pressure to press and slot the pre-filter
screens below the upper tabs of the air inlet
grille to secure it.
• To avoid accidental cut, avoid contacting the metal parts of the unit when
removing or reattaching the filter.
Cleaning & Maintenance of the Pre-Filter Screens
For optimum performance, it is recommended to clean the Pre-Filter Screens once every week.
Remove both the upper and lower air inlet grilles from the unit.
Hold onto the top middle groove of the
pre-filter screens and pull upwards gently to
release it from the air inlet grille catch.
Slide and remove the pre-filter screens from
the air inlet grilles.

• DO NOT use water of more than 40 degree Celsius
to wash the Pre-Filter Screens.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust
accumulated. If required, immerse the pre-filter
screens and air inlet grilles in warm water and
rinse under running tap water. Leave the
pre-filter screens and air inlet grilles to dry.

TROUBLESHOOTING

NAC12000 and NAC14000 to operate
effectively is up to 25 m2or 269 ft2 /
27 m2or 290 ft2 respectively.
• Exceed recommended room coverage area.
• This is normal.
• The internal compressor safety device prevents
the unit from being restarted until three minutes
have elapsed since it was last turned off.
• Please clean and maintain the pre filter
screen regularly.
• Pre filter screens are dirty/clogged.Sudden
unpleasant odour
during unit
operation.
The unit does not
operate for about

Read the operating instructions carefully before using the portable air conditioner and keep it for later
reference.
Persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions, as well as children under 8 years old &
persons under the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs are not advised to operate the dehumidifier,
or are only advised to operate it under supervision.
Only operate the portable air conditioner when it is completely assembled & on a stable and level surface.
Always use the correct power supply.
Keep the portable air conditioner away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Repairs of appliance should only be done by qualified service technicians. Improper repair work
can cause considerable danger to the user.
The unit should be installed in accordance to the national wiring regulations.
This unit should not be installed in the laundry area.
Ensure the power plug is plugged firmly and completely into the power source to prevent safety hazard.
The unit is equipped with a power cord that has an earthed wire connected to an earthen pin or
grounding tab. The plug must be plugged into the power source that is properly installed and earthed. DO
NOT under any circumstances cut or remove the earthed pin or grounding tab from the plug.
The unit should be used or stored away from moisture (eg. condensation, splashed water etc.) Please
unplug the unit immediate this occurs.
Always transport the unit in a vertical position and place it on a flat, stable and levelled surface during
operation. If the unit is being transported laying on its side, it should be left stood up and unplugged for 6
hours.
Always use the power control button on the control panel or remote control, DO NOT start or stop the unit
operation by directly plugging or unplugging it from the power source to prevent safety hazard.
It is recommended to use at least 2 persons to lift and install the unit.
Always install the unit on a flat, stable and levelled floor that can support up to 110lbs (50 Kg).
Installation of the unit on weak or unlevelled floor can results in the risk of property damage and safety
hazard.

This unit is equipped with a power cord that has a three-pronged grounded plug. It must be plugged into a
mating grounding type receptacle in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local
codes and ordinances. If the circuit does not have a grounding type receptacle, it is the responsibility and
obligation of the customer to exchange the existing receptacle in accordance with the National Electrical
Code and applicable local codes and ordinances. The third ground prong should not, under any
circumstances, be cut or removed. Never use the cord, the plug or the unit when they show any sign of
damage. DO NOT use the unit with extension plug unless it has been checked and tested by a qualified
electrical supplier. Improper connection of the grounding plug can result in risk of fire, electric shock
and/or injury to persons associated with the unit. Check the qualified service representative if in doubt
that the unit is properly grounded.
