DIGITAL TELEPHONE USER'S GUIDE
M3903's AND M3904's
Answering a Call
Lift receiver or press hands free key or line number
Terminating a Call
Hang up receiver or press Goodbye key
Placing a Call
Lift receiver or press hands free key or line number
Enter 5-digit extension for campus calls
Enter 9 + (7 digit telephone number)
Enter 9 + 1 + (10 digit telephone number)
Your main line number
Number beside the green key at top right of screen. Has picture of telephone by it when in use.
Other line appearances & rollover lines- 3903
Located on remaining 2 keys near main line (Use shift to access key 3-4)
Other line appearances & rollover lines – 3904
Located on remaining 11 keys near main line (Use shift to access key 7-12)
Hold
Press HOLD key
To return to held call:
Press Flashing line number.
Transfer
Press Trans Key designated on screen
Enter extension number you are transferring to.
Press Connect Key designated on screen.
To regain a transferred call:
Press flashing line number
Forward - All Calls - 5 Digits Only
ToSet: ToCancel:
Press Forward key at bottom of screen Press Check Forward Key
Enter 5-digit extension if forward exists,
Press Done Press Cancel Forward
(Arrow next to Forward shows active) Press done.
Redial Last #
Press line number twice OR lift receiver and press line number once.
Conference Call
The new proper way to setup a conference call with more than one person conferenced in is

Approx. length of call (conference call will not be cut off if over approx. time)
Pick up
If you are in the same office as someone in your department you have been assigned to a pick up
group. This means if you hear that person or persons phone ringing you can answer the call from
your desk.
1. Pick up your receiver.
2. Press the PICK UP key.
** Remember if you look at the display of your phone once you have pressed call pick up it will
tell you who'’ call you have just answered. Also if there is more than one phone ringing in your
group it will answer the phone that rang first.
Intercom
This allows you to speak to someone in your department by not using your extension.
1. Pickup your receiver or your handsfree key.
2. Press your INTERCOM key (the key that reads I/C then a 2 digit #)
3. Dial the person you are trying to reach using their 2digit intercom #.
These calls will just ring on the person’s phone until they pick it up. (It will not forward to
voicemail or to anyone else.)
To Answer Your Intercom
1. Pick up your receiver or press your handsfree key.
2. Press your INTERCOM key (the key that reads I/C then a 2digit#).

Call Log (list of calls made to your phone, 10 max.)
To View: Press Directory/log key To Delete a call from list:
Press Call Log key at bottom of screen Select call by using
Press ⇓key to scroll to desired call Instructions (To View)
Press ⇒key to see phone number also Press Delete Key
Press ⇐key to return to list of names
To Edit: (ex: enter "9" and/or "1" before number) To call a number on list:
Select call, using instructions above (To View) Select call by using
PressEditkey Instructions(ToView)
Make changes by: Entering numbers to add OR Press Dial Key
Delete key deletes a digit OR
Clear key clears entire #
Press Done key when finished
Press Dial key to call or Quit key to exit
To copy a call to your personal directory:
Select call by using instructions to (To View)
Press Copy key
Press Dirctry Key
Press Edit key to change name
Change name by: entering letters OR
Delete key clears entire name
Case key changes to upper/lower case
Press NEXT key to save name changes
Change phone number using same keys above except Case key
Press Done key to save changes when finished.
Redial Log (outgoing calls from your phone, 20 max)
To View: Press Directory/log key To Copy a call to your personal
Press Redial key at bottom of screen speed call directory
Press ⇓key to scroll to desired call Select call by using instructions
Press ⇒key to see phone number also (To View)
Press ⇐key to return to list of phone numbers Press Copy
PressDirectorykey
To Edit: (ex: enter "9" and/or "1" before number) Press Edit key to change name
Select call, using instructions above (To View) Change name by: entering
Press Edit key letters or using keys
Make changes by: Entering numbers to add OR Press Next key to save name changes
Delete key deletes a digit OR Change phone number by entering
Clear key clears entire # numbers or using keys
Press Done key when finished Press Done when finished tosave
Press Dial key to call or Quit key to exit
