INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
1. Inspect air conditioner
2. Slide rails must be used to support rear portion of the air conditioner. For rail location dimensions
and mounting opening cutout dimensions, refer to on page 5. NOTE: The air conditioner
must be mounted level +/- 1° in all directions to ensure proper drainage of condensate from the
condensate evaporator.
3. Seal around the enclosure cutout openings with the adhesive-backed gasket tape shipped with the
air conditioner. The gasket may be applied to either the enclosure or the air condition.
4. Remove and discard plastic plug from outlet of condensate drain tube. The drain tube must
be routed to the exterior of the enclosure. NOTE: Be sure that no portion of the drain system is
submerged or elevated above the exit point of the air conditioner. Also, the external drain line
MUST NOT form a trap at any point in the line. A trap is formed when the end of the drain tube is
submerged in a collection bucket, or when any portion of the drain line rises above the level of
another portion of the drain line. This is true even if the rise in the line is below the level of the exit
point of the air conditioner. It is recommended that the drain line slope downward continuously
from the exit of the air conditioner at a minimum rate 1° per foot of linear run.
5. Mount air conditioner in enclosure and allow to remain in upright position for at least ve minutes
before starting.
6. Refer to the nameplate for electrical current requirements. Connect the power cord to a properly
grounded power supply.
7. Unit may be equipped with an optional automatic temperature controller that is preset at the
factory for your convenience and should not require adjustment. If adjustment is required for
operation, refer to Components List on page 3.
