INSTALLATION ADVICE

• Check the label on the pack to ensure you have the model shed you ordered.
Please retain info on model No. at the end of the carton.
BEFORE YOU START, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS.
• When selecting a site, choose an area that is firm and level yet allows drainage away from the site.
• Although this shed when installed according to instructions, is designed to withstand greater wind loads than other
conventional sheds, do not assemble it in areas subject to high winds or erect on a windy day. Any building left
partially constructed may be seriously damaged if left in this state. It is your responsibility to safely and securely anchor
the shed, having regard to the windiest conditions in the area. The shed could possibly blow away causing damage and
possible injury if not properly attached to the ground foundation.
• Do not backfill against the walls or base of the shed as this will cause corrosion and void the warranty.
• The prevention of condensation inside the shed will assist in keeping the contents dry as well as minimising any possible
corrosion of the shed itself, the following hints may prove useful.
There is always dampness in soil, and this may rise into the shed if there is no barrier. A heavy duty polythene sheet may
be placed under the concrete slab to prevent evaporation into the shed.
Seal the space between the bottom frame and the concrete slab with a mastic (except at the front corners). The front
corners are not sealed to enable drainage out of the ends of the front base rail.
If condensation still presents a problem, panels of polystyrene (5cm thick) may be glued to the interior of the roof between
the supports. Use a glue that is resistant to moisture and temperature.
• You will need a few tools, as indicated in the section HOW TO READ THIS MANUAL. All holes for screws are
predrilled. A power screw driver or cordless drill equipped with a magnetic Philips tip will hasten assembly. Take care not
to over-tighten self-tapping screws.
• Sort, separate and identify all parts and hardware before construction. Check against the illustrations shown. Framing
components are labelled except for panels.
• Since this manual is used to instruct assembly of varying sizes of shed, Labelling of Parts in the diagrams has been
simplified as follows:
All the frame work components have the same system of part numbers but indicate different lengths, these part numbers
are stamped into the component.
e.g. Roof Beams 9 foot length = P9
7 foot length = P7
5 foot length = P5
Therefore, in the diagrams the Roof Beam is labelled P.
IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES
• Observe all special notes which indicate differences between various types of sheds.
• You should not try to assemble the shed on your own. Get a second person to help you.
• The statutory requirements of the local building authorities must be observed.
• Safety gloves should be worn during assembly.
• Safety glasses should be worn during assembly.
• Preferably in a long sleeve shirt.
• Beware of sharp edges.
• WINTER SERVICE: The roof is designed for a snow load of 75 kg/m2. In order to avoid overload of the roof, timely
removal of snow from the roof area is recommended.
If the garden shed is unattended for lengthy periods during the winter months, the roofs should be propped up as a safety
precaution.

AVIS RELATIFS AU MONTAGE
FRANÇAIS
• Vérifiez l‘étiquette sur le carton afin de bien vous assurer que vous avez reçu le modèle de abri que vous aviez commandé.
Assurez-vous de bien noter le numéro de série à l’extrémité du carton.
AVANT DE COMMENCER, IL EST IMPORTANT QUE VOUS LISIEZ LES INSTRUCTIONS SUIVANTES.
• Quand vous choisissez un emplacement, choisissez un site ferme et plat qui permette néanmoins un drainage adéquat des eaux.
• Bien que cette abri, pourvu qu’elle ait été montée conformément aux instructions, soit conçue de façon à résister plus que
d’autres abri de ce genre, à des charges plus élevées dues à l’action du vent, ne la construisez ni dans un lieu exposé à des
vents forts, ni un jour de grand vent. Toute construction qui est laissée dans un état inachevé peut subir des dégâts importants.
Il vous incombe d’ancrer la abri de façon sûre et solide, compte tenu des conditions les plus venteuses de votre région. La abri
pourrait être renversée par le vent, causant des dégâts et éventuellement des blessures, si elle n’était pas convenablement
attachée à ses fondations au sol.
• Ne remblayez pas contre les murs ou la base de la abri car ceci sera cause de corrosion et d’annulation de votre garantie.
• La prévention de la condensation à l’intérieur de la abri vous aidera à en garder le contenu en état sec et réduira au minimum les
risques de corrosion de la abri même; les indications suivantes pourraient s’avérer utiles.
ll y a toujours, dans le sol, de l’humidité qui peut remonter à l’intérieur de la abri, s’il n’y a pas de barrière. Une feuille de polythène
à usage industriel peut être placée sous la dalle de béton pour empêcher l’évaporation à l’intérieur de la abri.
Scellez l’espace entre le cadre inférieur et la dalle de béton (à l’exception des coins avant) à l’aide d’un mastic. Les coins avant ne
sont pas scellés afin de permettre tout drainage par les extrémités du rail inférieur avant.
Si la condensation pose encore un problème, des panneaux de polystyrène (de 5cm d’épaisseur) peuvent être collés à l’intérieur
du toit entre les supports d’entretoise. Employez une colle qui résiste à l’humidité et la chaleur.
• Vous aurez besoin de quelques outils, indiqués dans la section COMMENT LIRE CE MANUEL. Tous les trous par où passeront
les vis sont déjà percés. Un tournevis électrique ou une perceuse à piles équipés d’un embout magnétique cruciforme vous
aideront à assembler votre abri plus rapidement. Prenez soin de ne pas trop serrer les vis auto-taraudeuses.
• Triez, séparez et identifiez toutes les pièces et articles de visserie avant de commencer le montage. Vérifiez en comparant aux
illustrations. A l’exception des panneaux, toutes les pièces sont étiquetées;
• Vu que ce manuel a pour but de donner des instructions relatives à la construction de abri de dimensions variées, l’Etiquetage des
Pièces, tel qu’il apparaît dans les diagrammes, a été simplifié comme suit:
Tous les éléments de la charpente portent le même numéro de pièce qui montre toutefois différentes longueurs; ces numéros de
pièces sont estampillés sur l’élément.
Par exemple, Poutres de Toit 9 pieds de long = P9
7 pieds de long = P7
5 pieds de long = P5
Ainsi, dans les diagrammes, la Poutre de Toit est marquée P.
PRÉCAUTIONS IMPORTANTES
• Tenir compte de toutes les remarques indiquant des différences entre les différents types d'abri.
• Ne pas tenter de monter l'abri seul. Deux personnes sont nécessaires.
• Les recommandations légales des autorités de l'industrie du bâtiment du pays doivent être appliquées.
• Porter des gants de protection durant le montage.
• Porter des lunettes de protection durant le montage.
• Porter si possible des vêtements à manches longues.
• Faire attention aux arêtes vives.
• PRÉCAUTIONS POUR L'HIVER: le toit est conçu pour supporter une charge de neige de 75kg/m2. Pour éviter une surcharge du
toit, il est recommandé de déblayer la neige sans attendre.Si l'abri de jardin est délaissé en hiver pendant de longues périodes, le
toit devrait être étayé par mesure de précaution.

LES CATASTROPHES NATURELLES. CERTAINES PIÈCES PEUVENT PRÉSENTER DES ARÊTES & ANGLES VIFS. LES
DIFFÉRENTES PIÈCES DOIVENT ÊTRE MANIPULÉES AVEC PRÉCAUTION POUR ÉVITER TOUT INCIDENT. POUR VOTRE

10 YEAR WARRANTY
In addition to any implied warranties as provided by the Trade
Practices Act, Treco sheds are warranted for a period of 10 years
from the date of purchase as follows:
1. Zincalume® and galvanised panel materials will not rust.
2. Coloured panel materials will not rust, check, crack, flake, peel
or blister.
This additional warranty is subject to the following qualifications and
limitations:
1. The warranty Certificate (attached) must be completed and
returned to Treco within 21 days of purchase.
2. Warranty only applies if shed is used solely as a domestic shed
and installed in accordance with the Owner’s Manual.
3. Warranty does not apply if shed is installed in ocean surf
locations or severe industrial or unusually corrosive
environments.
4. Warranty is for the benefit of the original purchase and is not
transferable.
5. Warranty does not cover fasterners.
6. Warranty applies to the exclusion of all other representations,
guarantees or warranties, express or implied otherwise required
by applicable legislation.
