Opel Rocks-E 2022 User manual

OPEL ROCKS-
DOS AND DON’TS
DON’T
Do not depress the accelerator pedal when shifting
between driving modes – always select the correct
mode irst. The buttons for driving mode (D),
neutral (N) and reverse (R) are located directly to
the left of the driver’s seat.
DO
If you are not going to move your Rocks- for more
than a month, you should disconnect the 12-volt
battery. Simply remove the fuse F7-50 irst and
then disconnect the 12-volt battery (your 48-volt
Rocks- main battery should be charged above
50 % before you do this). This will prevent the
12-volt battery from discharging completely. If you
don’t do this, you may have to recharge the 12-volt
battery with an external battery charger before
you can recharge your Rocks- again.
DON’T
The 12-volt battery must never be completely
discharged, otherwise it will no longer be possible
to start the engine or charge the 48-volt main
battery.
It’s finally here – the new Rocks-. Welcome aboard your unique city runabout. Before you
get going, there are just a few things you should know. Read on to discover the most im-
portant dos and don’ts …
DO
This guide does not replace the owner’s manual.
You should download this separately via the
myOpel app and carefully read through it.
DON’T
Do not under any circumstances ignore the safety-
related information in this guide and in the owner’s
manual.
DO
To start your Rocks-: turn the key slightly to
switch on the instrument panel. Then turn it a
second time to start the engine. The instrument
panel will now show the ‘N’ mode. The ‘READY’
indicator light and an audible signal conirm that
the vehicle is ready to start. To drive forward or
backward all you have to do now is select the ‘D’ or
‘R’ mode on the left side of the driver’s seat and
then press the brake pedal.

CHARGING
THE ROCKS-
Charging your Rocks- is super easy: con-
nect the integrated charging cable to a
normal household socket and you’ll have
enough energy for your next adventure.
DO
Park as close as possible to the socket, set the
parking brake and switch of the engine. Remem-
ber: the charging process cannot be started if the
parking brake is not applied.
DON’T
Do not use extension leads, multiple sockets or
damaged power sockets.
DO
To charge the battery, unroll the integrated
charging cable completely, pass it through the door
frame opening then through the handle recess
before closing the passenger door. Then connect
the charging cable directly to the household power
supply (220-volt household socket). You can
interrupt the charging process at any time by
unplugging the charging cable from the power
socket.
DON’T
Never start your Rocks- if it is still plugged in. In
addition, only ever use the built-in charging cable.
You can easily track the charging process via the
myOpel app.
DO
Only charge your Rocks- when the temperature
of the battery is between –5 °C and +53 °C.
DON’T
Your Rocks- will not charge below a –5 °C battery
temperature. As the battery temperature cannot
be checked, as a guide you should check the
ambient air temperature instead.
DO
Try to park your Rocks- in a garage or a covered
area where the temperature is between 5 °C and
40 °C. This will help to optimize your battery
performance and charging speed.
DON’T
If the temperature of the 48-volt battery is below
5 °C, the charging capability is reduced. You should
therefore expect longer charging times in very cold
weather.
DO
You can also charge the Rocks- at a public
charging station. You will need an adapter for this
though. You can find it HERE!

DRIVING
THE ROCKS-
DO
Try to pay attention to your driving style. Your
energy consumption will depend on your speed, the
load, route and the road conditions. The more
relaxed your driving style, the greater your range
will be! The maximum speed is limited to 45 km/h.
DON’T
Note that under certain circumstances the maxi-
mum speed will be considerably reduced. This will
depend on factors such as the residual energy,
ambient and battery temperature plus driving
conditions such as at an extreme altitude.
If you drive in a constant energy-intensive style,
the ‘foot on the accelerator pedal’ warning symbol
will appear. Followed by the ‘turtle mode’ symbol a
short time later if you continue to drive in the same
way, which means your maximum speed will be
automatically reduced.
 Do not use (snow) chains. This is not
allowed on the Rocks-.
 No objects may be transported on the roof.
 Towing the vehicle is only allowed under
certain conditions:
– The rear wheels remain on the ground.
– The vehicle is fully loaded.
– With a tow bar.
Now the fun really begins: your Rocks- is
so simple and easy to drive; in fact, not
unlike a bumper car or a go-kart. Grab the
steering wheel, select the driving mode ‘D’,
then just press the accelerator pedal and
of you go.

THE RIGHT CARE
FOR YOUR ROCKS-
You’ll enjoy your Rocks- for longer if you
take good care of it. This includes cleaning it
from time to time: an ordinary hoover or
garden hose can sometimes work wonders!
Your Rocks- will thank you too.
DO
Only use approved cleaning agents and a garden
hose. Simply spray carefully and gently wipe with a
clean microibre cloth. For larger stains you’ll ind
the right cleaning product HERE!
DON’T
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or an automatic
washing system for cleaning.
DO
When your Rocks-requires regular maintenance,
you can ind your local service partner via the
dealer locator on opel.xx and in the myOpel app.
DO
Only use approved tools from Opel or those of our
service partners. Please take into account that the
Rocks-is delivered without tools such as a jack or
wheel brace.
