1.1 General Information.
For the reliable operation of the system it is necessary to
use clean, standardized fuel. Please only use wood pellets
of EU standard EN plus A1, to be burned with a diameter
of 6mm. The wood pellets used should be uniform, hard
and the surface as smooth as possible and must not
break at light loads. The wood dust content must be
<2.5% of total weight, ie dust is the cause of poor
burning and produces an increased amount of ash, so
causing clogging in the reservoirs and blocking the
threads (suction) Conveyor. The length of the pellets may
be up to 2.5 cm long, but not more than 20 % of the
pellets can be up to 4 cm long. For the above-mentioned
EN plus A1 standard is a low burn temperature limit of
less than 1,200°C; this must be maintained and not
exceeded.
From our experience, this temperature is too low in
many cases. For this reason we recommend the use of
pellets with higher ash softening temperature of over
1300°C. This results in fewer residues that must be
removed from the burner and the operation is more
reliable and energy-efficient.
A high ash softening temperature is required so that it
does not produce clinker deposits and thus slagging in
the burner.
1.2 Scope

2Dismantling and posi tioning
2.1 Dismantling and positioning into the boiler room
For quick and easy installation of the pellet boiler please
stick to the dis-assembly instructions as described below.
• Required tools for disassembly/assembly:
Allen socket set, socket set with ratchet size 10, 17 and
19, Cordless Screwdriver with plug - Nut Adapter + bits,
spirit level, multi-meter or phase tester, hot air blower.
Disassembly of the boiler system into several easily
transportable items:
fig. 4: Remove the wood screws on all sides that
connect the frame boards with the palette and then lift to
remove the wooden frame.
fig. 5: With a 19mm ratchet remove the four mounting
screws, which are underneath the wooden pallet under the
boiler body.
Disassembly of the a ger nit from the boiler body :
Fig. 6: Remove the locking screw (bottom) and lift the
insert trim about 1 cm up and then remove the front.

remove both.

The fo r n ts that connect the pper and lower angle
profile with the flange case are not to removed, as
these n ts s pport the complete b rner.
Fig. 11: Open the boiler door forward and lift off the
flame tube from the burner tube upwards to remove it
from the burner. With the tube loose, slightly offset it to
the burner, the tube is then free and can be pulled out.
Please remove the ash pan and its contents.
Fig. 12: Please remove all cables that are connected to
the boiler body by disconnecting them and also
withdrawing them. Then using two people, remove the
conveyor unit by pulling it away from the boiler
Be caref l when removing the b rner, making s re
the linkage for the b rner valve cleaning is not
activated.
By pulling out the burner pot, away from the boiler unit,
this now seperates the burner from the boiler. The two
units can now be transported into the boiler room.
Please transport both as upright as possible.

In no instance lift the front of the b rner, otherwise
the leverage effect may damage the delivery nit .
•Dismantling boiler sides:
Fig. 14: Remove the boiler casing cover by pushing it to
about 1cm forward and then lift it off .
Fig. 15: Lift the front panel about 1cm and then remove
the front.
Fig. 16: Next, remove the back panel of the boiler. For
this, remove 4 Phillips screws and remove the small cover
plate. Then remove the 8 x Allen screws. Once all screws
have been removed, you can take the panel forward.
Fig. 17: Now disassemble the door hinge and frame
cover by removing the two allen screws on the right side,
and the two magnets on the left.
Fig. 18: Now disassmble the side panels on either side of
the body. To do this remove each of the 4 Allen screws
and lift the side panels from the boiler.

Fig. 19: Now with a suitable stable "sack truck" or stair
climber the boiler can be moved, by 3 people, by picking
this up with the shipping pallet.
Please note that the boiler body alone has a weight of abo t
275 kg..
Please refer to the c rrent transport reg lations and sec re
the boiler against falling. The boiler m st not be lifted by the
spacers, shafts or connection fittings, as they co ld bend.
3Installation and assembly
3.1 Installation and assembly of the pellet in the boiler
room
Installation and assembly of the boiler:
Fig. 20: The boiler should be set up so that the heating system to the
front and rear is as accessible as possible. The right side does not need to
be accessible and can be placed directly against a wall.
The minim m spacing m st not be red ced, so that the
boiler remains accessible for servicing at all times. Please
pay attention to installing a short horizontal fl e gas
chimney, see chapter 5.1.
Fig. 21: Position the boiler at the desired location and
align the boiler straight with a spirit level.
So that the boiler can be precisely aligned, it is necessary
that the 4 x M12 adj sting screws, with which the boiler
has been mo nted on the pallet, are sed, as "boiler feet".
The screws m st installed in the boiler, allowing abo t 2.5
- 3cm from the floor.
The boiler m st installed only on a non-comb stible floor
(eg floor, tiled floor) as the feet can become hot.
Fig. 22: Then attach the appropriate insulation pieces
onto the boiler (fabric side is always on the outside), the
left and right side panels of the boiler are mounted by
being tightened each with 4 allen screws.

Minimum ceiling height for installation is 1.85m.

Fig. 23 Re-assemble the frame panel and the door hinge
screw in the two magnets, and the two right conical socket
head cap screws.
Next, take the insulation for the back section and put it
onto the back of the boiler.
Fig. 24 Now mount the back plate back to the boiler, it is
mounted by attaching it with 8 allen screws. If the panel is
properly mounted, the upper edge of the left and right side
must be flush.
Fig. 25 Assemble the induced draft blower by inserting
the gasket on the flange and tighten the three screws on
the fan rotation flange. You can use the flue gas outlet in
the desired position ( +/- 75 °). The default position is
vertically upwards.
Be s re to sec re the flange position before mo nting onto
the flange!
Then, remove the insulation for the "front" and mount it
on to the front section of the boiler.

When the panel is properly inserted, insert the top edge
with the left and right side panel, they must be flush.

•Assembly of the pellet feed nit on the boiler:
Fig. 27: install the ceramic paper gasket by sticking onto
the flange and lift the conveying unit in the direction of
boiler, then push, so that the burner can be inserted
through the chamber flange. The burner flame tube must
not drop into the lower area! Remember to fit the flame
tube on top of the burner. Now tighten the M10 nuts (8)
on the flange so that the burner flange and the boiler
flange are firmly and tightly connected together.
Do not forget to fit the enclosed gasket to the comb stion
chamber before p shing together to p t on the flange of the
boiler!
Next extend the four "leveling feet" on the conveyor unit
outwards - screwing them so they rest firmly on the
ground and support the weight of the unit housing
(pellet tank). Then make sure that the delivery unit is
parallel to the boiler (keeping the same gap between the
boiler and delivery unit).
Fig. 28: Should the gap between the boiler and feed unit
not be uniform, alter by loosening the 4 fastening nuts and
adjusting the feet of the conveyor unit to re-align to the
boiler.
Fig. 29: Please position as far away as possible, the low-
voltage cables (sensor, oxygen sensor, sensor for heat
exchanger cleaning) at a distance of 5cm min. from the AC
power cables (induced draft fan, reverse lifting pump and
heat exchanger cleaning motor). Run the cable through the
cable hole in the panel and lay it between the insulation
and paneling in the "cold zone" to the top of the boiler.
The cable route for the external units and sensors can be
threaded through the gaps between the conveyor unit and
boiler casing.

Ro te the cable in a way so that this cannot to ch hot
parts and be b rnt.

Fig.32: Now connect the cable for the heat exchanger
cleaning to the heat exchanger. The polarity (black and
blue) does not matter. But do not forget to close the
protective conductor (green/yellow)!
Fig. 33: Next to install the inductive Hub control sensor. It
is very important that both the sensor, lift arm and the
silicone dampers are securely locked, so as not to become
loose due to any vibrations or movement during cleaning.
The distance between the sensor head and lift arm must be
exactly 3mm!
Be s re to check the co nters nk n ts in this area! Any
damage ca sed by a non-solid lock n t is not covered by
the boiler warranty.

Fig. 34: Here is the control board. The left part includes the
standard package, the right part are individually ordered
expansion boards SVHZS532-1, 53x install the 230v cables
in the middle channel and in the two outer cable channels
all low-voltage cables (Belimo, sensor, sensors, lambda
probe).
Install 230 volt cables only in the central cable channel. In
the two o ter cable channels only low voltage cables m st
be fitted!
Fig. 35: On the back of the board is the STB. Roll the
cable carefully and keep the tube to the position of the
upper immersion sleeve on the back of the boiler.
Please install the attached two in the combustion chamber
½" immersion sleeves. The upper immersion sleeve is for 2
probes, the lower immersion sleeve just for a sensor. When
installing the capillary tube/sensor cable, make sure that
they are not kinked or in contact with moving parts. Insert
the boiler sensor together with the STB sensor in the upper
immersion sleeve and the return sensor in the lower
immersion sleeve and make sure that it can be removed for
checking.

that they cannot slip o t.

3.2 Mo nting the IQto ch - To ch Panels






Fig. 36: Assemble the touch panel to the pellet intermediate
container of the delivery unit as shown next in the
sequence of images. Make sure to observe the correct
fitting of the plug! The orange network cable is not
included, this must be kept available on site in the
appropriate length. We recommend the use of a "patch
cable CAT.6 or CAT.7". This cable allows the pellet boiler to
communicate with the Internet, to enable remote control,
remote maintenance and for operating cascade systems.
This is absolutely necessary for communication with the
boiler or boilers.
We strongly recommend yo to connect the boiler to the
Internet. A variety of services are available. Remote control,
remote maintenance, e-mail stat s messages, a tomatic
software pdates, see Web my.iqto ch.de. Sho ld yo have
any q estions, please contact s for details.
4Electrical connectio n
4.1 Electrical connection / extension options
The pellet boiler requires a fixed cross-section of
min. 1.5 mm² to a 230 Volt, 50 Hz AC power to
connect with a hedge 16A .
Warning 230 V:
Make s re that all electrical components are de-energized .
Be s re to observe the applicable reg lations.
The electrical connection m st be checked by a q alified
electrician - power before connecting to the network.
Make s re that the ne tral cond ctor and phase are not
reversed. Even the earth (PE ) m st be connected .
Care is to be taken to ens re that the pellet and the pellet
injection of the system and all water pipes are connected to
a s itable earth connection to prevent potential earthing.
The following electrical connections must be
connected directly depending on the selection
on the board. For this it is necessary to work
according to the guidelines of BS7671 (current
edition).
Generally, only flexible power s pply cables m st be
connected to the boards. Connection of rigid connection
lines s ch as NYM cable installation is not allowed and
immediately voids the warranty. Rigid lines may lead to
contact fire , which co ld destroy the board!
Be s re to check on all boards and external inp ts that all
yo r cable connections are correct before t rning on the
power. A reverse phase and earth leads to short circ its
and may ca se the component damage that is not covered
by o r warranty!
Pay close attention to the pin rotation of the connector and
the alignment so yo do not get this conf sed.
