model.

When the product is inst lled on w ll or ceiling, the device should be firmly fixed.
If smoke, odor, or noise rise from the device, turn off the power t once nd unplug the power c ble, then cont ct the service
center.
If the product does not work properly, ple se cont ct your de ler or the ne rest service center. Never ttempt to dis ssemble

Ple se use soft nd dry cloth when cle n inside nd outside surf ces of the dome cover, not to use lk line detergents.
Do not st re t infr red lights closely to void hurting your eyes when the infr red lights re on.

Preparation for Installation
B sic requirements.
All the electronic oper tion should be strictly compli nce with the electric l s fety regul tions, fire prevention regul tions
nd other rel ted regul tions in your loc l region.
Check whether ll the ccessories re included ccording to the p cking list. M ke sure th t the inst ll tion pl ce nd mode
conform to the dem nds. If not, ple se cont ct the supplier.
Ple se use this product ccording to the requirement of working environment.
Check inst ll tion sp ce.
M ke sure the pl ce h ve enough sp ce to inst ll the speed domes nd its ccessories.
Check the intensity of conform tion t the inst ll tion loc tion.
Ple se m ke sure th t the ceilings or w lls re strong enough to withst nd four times the weight of speed dome nd its
ccessories.
Prep r tion of c bles.
Choose the video c ble ccording to the tr nsmission dist nce. The video should meet the le st dem nds s: 75Ω
resist nce; 100% copper core conducting wire; 95% we ving copper shield.

Chapter 1 Installation
Before you start:
Check the p ck ge contents nd m ke sure th t the device in the p ck ge is in good condition nd
ll the ssembly p rts re included.
Note: The d pter should be AC 24V/3A.
1.1 Installation and Cabling
1.1.1 Installing the Speed Dome
Steps:
1. Inst ll the mount for the speed dome. Ple se refer to the ch pter 2, 3, 4 nd 5 for det ils bout
the inst lling steps.
Notes:
For cement w ll mounting, you need to use the exp nsion screw to fix the mount. The
mounting hole of the exp nsion pipe on the w ll should lign with the mounting hole on the
mount.
For wooden w ll mounting, you c n just use the self-t pping screw to fix the br cket.
2. Inst ll the speed dome to the mount. The w ll mount is t ken s n ex mple below.
1) Wr p the thre d compound to the thre d of the mounting d pter. The mounting d pter
is shown in Figure 1-1.

2) Rot te the mounting d pter to the w ll mount. Secure the mounting d pter to the w ll
mount tightly with lock screw s shown in Figure 1-2.

3) Te r off the protective sticker s shown in Figure 1-3.
4) Set the ddress, b udr te, protocol, etc. by switching the DIP switch in the speed dome. For
the det ils bout DIP switch settings, ple se refer to section 1.2 DIP Switch Settings.

5) H ng the s fety rope to the speed dome nd the hook on the mounting d pter s shown
in Figure 1-4.
6) Route the c bles of the speed dome through the w ll mount.
7) Insert the h ngers on the speed dome to the grooves on the mounting d pter. Rot te the
speed dome clockwise to sn p the h ngers into the grooves s shown in Figure 1-4.

8) Use the llen key to tighten the lock screw on the mounting d pter for ensuring the speed
dome is secured tightly.

1.1.2 Connecting the Cables
Before you start:
Ple se m ke sure to cut off the power of the dome before connect the c bles.
The c ble interf ces of speed dome re shown in Figure 1-6. Ple se refer to the following figure for
the RS-485, power nd video c bles.

1.2 DIP Switch Settings
The DIP switch is used for setting the ddress, b udr te, protocol, etc. for the speed dome, with
v lue ON=1 nd OFF=0, s shown in Figure 1-7.

The switches from the first to the sixth re used to set the ddress. The seventh nd eighth switches
re used to set the b udr te. The ninth switch is used to set the protocol. The tenth switch is used
to set the termin l resistor. Ple se refer to the section 1.2.1 to 1.2.4 for det iled settings.

Notes:
The def ult dome ddress is 0. The def ult b udr te is 2400, nd the def ult st tus of the 120Ω
termin tor is OFF.
The speed dome is self- d ptive to the Pelco-P, Pelco-D nd Priv te-Code. You don’t h ve to set
the RS-485 control protocol by the DIP switch.
1.2.1 Address Settings
The switches from 1 to 6 re used for setting the ddress of speed dome. You c n refer to T ble 1-1
for det ils of setting the speed dome ddress to specific number.

1.2.2 Baudrate Settings
The number 7 nd 8 DIP switches re used for setting the b udr te of the speed dome. The
b udr te c n be 2400bps, 4800bps nd 9600bps. The b udr te will be set s 2400bps by def ult if it
is out of this r nge. Refer to the following t ble:

1.3 Power Cable Requirement
When the speed dome uses st nd rd AC power supply, the power c ble should meet the dem nd.
The formul of the cross-section S (mm²) nd the m ximum tr nsmission dist nce L (m) of the b re
wire is L=50*S.

The cross-section of the c ble is 1mm² nd the tr nsmission dist nce is less th n 50m.
According to the Appendix 3 Wire G uge St nd rds, for ex mple, the Americ n wire g uge 18, the
tr nsmission dist nce should be 0.7854*50=39.27m.

Before you start:
For cement w lls, exp nsion screws re needed for mounting (mounting in cement w lls re
t ken s ex mples in blow sections).
For wooden w lls, you need to use self-t pping screws.
Ple se m ke sure th t the w ll is sturdy enough to withst nd more th n 8 times the weight of
the dome nd the br cket. If not, the dome m y f ll nd c use serious d m ge.
3.1 Wall Mounting
Notes:
W ll mounting is pplic ble to indoor/outdoor suspending domes. For outdoor pplic tions,
ple se dopt the w ter-proof components.
Long mount nd mount with power supply box re t ken s ex mples in this section.
Short mount is not recommended for outdoor pplic tions.
