Introduction
Precautions
The Kizbox®box is used in
conjunction with io-homecontrol®
and RTS equiments to control
and program scenarios
for your installations.
General information
Read this installation guide and the safety instructions carefully
before starting installation of this product.
All the instructions given must be followed closely and this guide must be stored
in a safe place throughout the service life of your product.
Any installation or use outside the specified field of application is forbidden. This invalidates
the warranty and excludes all liability, as does any failure to comply with the instructions given herein.
General safety instructions
1. Do not try to open the housing.
2. Avoid impacts or dropping.
3. Never immerse the product in liquids.
4. Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean the product.
Its surface can be cleaned using a soft dry cloth.
5. Do not use this product outdoor. Do not route the cables outdoor.
6. Any use or modification of the equipment not foreseen by this guide could endanger users.
The product can be switched off completely by disconnecting the power plug.
The Ethernet interface must never be directly connected to a telephone socket.
Please connect it to your ADSL box or to any other Switch or Ethernet Hub type network equipment.

Product description
The state lights display
the product’s operating mode.
During boot phase
- Orange: the Kizbox®box is booting.
- Blinking red: updating software.
- Blinking orange: initialization before entering
standard operating mode.
During standard operating mode
- Green: the Kizbox®box is connected to the cloud.
- Red: the Kizbox®box is not connected to the cloud.
- Blinking blue: the Kizbox®box is pairing to the
local mode. Pressing the CFG button for 2 seconds
initiates pairing to local mode. If no pairing is
completed within 60 seconds, the product returns to
standard operating mode.
- Blue: the product is paired in local mode. A short
pressure on CFG button cancels the local mode
pairing, the product returns to stardart operating
mode. (if the product is connected to the cloud,
the state lights turn green. If the product is not
connected to the cloud, the state lights turn red).
Buttons allow
the following interactions:
During boot phase
- RST : button forces the box update
when pressed during the power on phase.
Use a tool to operate it.
During standard operating mode
- CFG, RST : actions dependent
on software.

Installation and configuration
Prerequisites for installation
You must have an internet connection, with an ADSL box equipped with an Ethernet port.
It will be necessary to note down the PIN for the Kizbox®box (this number can be found
on a label affixed to the box, and will be requested when the product is activated).
Installation
- Connect the product to your ADSL box; connect the RJ45 cable provided to the
Ethernet connector indicated by the logo
- Connect the power pack provided to the connector indicated by the logo
Warning
- Place the box at least 30cm away from the internet modem.
- Do not place the box on metallic surfaces or inside a metallic case.
- Do not place the box near a metallic surface and/or inside a duct containing electric cables.
- Do not use the box in areas where devices using radiofrequency transmission are prohibited (please
refer to local standards in application).
- Do not place the interface near devices which could be affected by radio waves.
Configuration
- Refer to the mobile application user guide for any information about device paring.
- Refer to the product’s user guide to set it in configuration mode.

Do not dispose of this product with the household waste.
Please take it to a collection point or an approved center to ensure it is recycled correctly.
