<CAUTION> Phenomena peculiar to image pickup device (CCD/CMOS)
The following phenomena that may appear in the images are peculiar to the image pickup device (CCD/CMOS)
and they do not indicate malfunctions.
White dots : The image pickup devices are produced with sophisticated and precise technologies, however, very
occasionally some fine white dots may be seen on the screen. This is caused by cosmic rays, etc.
and it is the characteristic of the image pickup devices in principle, therefore, they are not malfunction.
The white dots would be more recognizable under the conditions below:
-when operated under high-temperature environment
-when operated under high-gain (sensitivity) setting
-when operated in Prolonged exposure shutter mode (Shutter Long/Sense Up)

NOTE
1. Component / Composite / HDMI out are mutually exclusive.
2. PC connection can be done with RS232C or USB(switch S2001).Please use commercially available USB cable for USB connection.
3. When using thin-line-coaxial-cable, physically disconnect the FFC, otherwise UART command connection will not work properly.
4. Download the USB driver for PC from below URL(Operating System: Windows2000/ WindowsXP,
DeviceName : FT232R).
5.The LVDS serial signal output from the HD module is created by the IC from National Semiconductor, DS92LV16.
To de-serialize the signal, the same IC could be used as a deserializer. Refer to: http://www.national.com/profile/snip.cgi/openDS=DS92LV16

The various functions of this camera module can be
controlled from the PC via RS232C port of USB port.
RS232C Communications
Circuit
The communication interface to the camera module
(Pin 1,2,3) would be C-MOS level. When module is
connected directly to PC, the level should be
converted to what is determined by EIA232 VerC by
RS232C Driver IC.

exceeded, a communication error is detected
in the camera unit, the receiving data is
deleted, and data from the header is waiting

[5] Notes
Note 1 Area Settings
Divide the screen into 256 areas(16 vertical,16 horizontal). Masking area is "1" and no-masking area is "0".
Within the each horizontal line, assign 0 or 1. The right end will become upper bit and left end will become lower bit.
One command will set up one horizontal line. Therefore, to set the area on the full screen, lines 0-15 shall be set.
Example: Motion Mask Area Settings (Figure 1)
When setting Figure 1 (the area covered in black shows the position of the mask), transmit in the order described
below.
To set up the mask in line 5 for example.

Above commands should be sent in order. Repeat the same procedure for other lines, if necessary.
* Same procedure for: ATW mask Area, Motion Detector Mask, Mask BLC Area.
* Same procedure for: Status 8(Motion Detected Area / Auto Pursuit Detected Area) and Status 10(Face Detected
Area) in Query Commands. It returns the value without "Aspect Set" as above.
(The area where motion is detected will be “1”.)
