Take
the
king
pins
out
of
the
bag.
Polish
the
enti
re
length
of
the
pin
by
chucking
it
in a
dremel
or
drill
by
the
threaded
end,
and
using
600
grit
sandpaper
followed
by
fine
crocus
cloth
or
steel
wool.
Check
for
smooth
operation
of
steering
blocks
on
the
pins
.
Polish
until
this
is
achieved
.
Thread
the
king
pins
into
the
king
pin
mo
un
ts
.
Make
certain
the
pins
bottom
-
out
in
the
mounts
.
Insert
into
outside
holes
of
fi
berglass
crossbar.
Fit
should
be
snug
. Pu
sh
in
as
fa
r
as
possible
.
The
5-40
hex
nut is
now
installed,
and
the
mount
pulled
in
the
rest
of
the
way
by
tightening
the
nuts.
Seal
nut
using
Lock-tite
or
paint.
Next
install
the
st
e
ering
blocks,
again
checking
for
smooth
action
.
Put
a
light
coat
of
oil
or
grease
on
the
king
pins
.
NOTE:
Front
of
crossba
r is the
st
r
aight
ed
ge.
Re-
install
the
stee
ring
blocks,
then
spri
n
gs,
and
1/
8"
flat
washers
and
E-cl
ips.
Take
the
plastic
stand-offs
and
make
sure
all
flashing
is
removed
.
Attach
to
ch
assis
using
6-32
x 3/4"
flat
head
screws.
Cut
a
3°
caster
wedge
from
the
wedges
su
pplied
.
Then
cut in
t
he
cente
r
of
the
two
holes
which
will gi
ve
you
two
3°
wedges;
1
thick,
1
thin
.
Place
the
thi
n
ones
on
the
fro
nt
end
sta
n
d-offs
with
the
angle
facing
towards
the
r
ear
of
the
car.
Next,
place
the
cr
ossba
r on
the
sta
nd-
offs
.
Tighten
into
pla
ce using
the
6-32
n
ylon
locknuts.
Install
th
e
front
bu
mper
using
two
6-32
screws
and n
ylon
locknuts.

Take
the
longest
of
the
two
body
posts
and
install
it
in
the
center
hole
of
the
t
op
crosspiece
.
Screw
the
top
crosspiece
to
the
rear
pod
using
the
2-
56
x 1
/4"
self-tapping
screws.
Now
attach
the
rear
pod
to
the
chassis
by
putting
the
two
6-32
aluminum
screws
up
through
the
front
two
holes
of
the
rear
pod,
then
th
rough
the
chassis,
and
secur
e
them
with
the
6-32
nylon
locknuts
.
Install
the
1/
4"
oilites
i
nto
the
rear
pod.

Next
install
the
front
bumper
by
placing
the
bumper
under
t
he
chassis.
Then
passing
the
6-32
c'sk
screws
up
through
the
bumpe
r,
th
en
through
the
ch
assis.
Secure
using
6-32
nylon
locknuts
. In
sert
1
Z-bend
wire
in
each
of
the
steering
bl
ocks
.
Insert
the
other
Z-bend
wi
res
into
the
servo
saver
of
your
steering
se
r
vo
.
Put
a
strip
of
servo
tape
on
the
bottom
of
your
servo
.
Position
the
servo
so
the
output
shaft
is
directly
in
the
ce
nter
of
the
c
ro
ssbar
and
the
z-
bend
wires
are
aligned
and
parallel
to
the
front
edge
of
the
crossbar.
Insert
4-40
set
screws
in
the
aluminum
collars
.
Slide
2 c

on
each
side
where
the
Z-
bend
wires
are
toge
t
her
.
With
the
servo saver
in
the
cen
ter
of
the
servo's
travel,
set
the
wheels
at
0°
to
1°
of
toe
out
.
This
ca
n
be
finely
adjusted
afte
r
you
put
power
to
your
radio
system
.

Refer
to
the
following
diagram
in
assembling
the
differential.
To
keep
your
Sprint
car's
performance
at
its
optimum,
keep
the
reci
procating
parts
clean
and
lightly
lubed
with
silicone
grease.
After
complete
assembly
of
the
differential,
insert
2
of
the
1/
4"
plastic
spacers
against
the
aluminum
diff.
hub,
and
insert
the
axle
through
the
rear
pod
.
Take
the
remaining
3
spacers
and
slide
them
on
the
axle
.
Now
install
the
othe
r
wheel
hub
.
Leave
a
very
slight
amount
of
side
play
in
the
axle
to
allow
for
free
r
otation.
NOTICE
The
rear
axle
is
made
of
carbon
fiber
which
is
a v
ery
st
r
ong,
light
mate
ri
al
.
However,
the
axle
will
wea
r
out
quickly
if
used
ve
ry
long
with
oilite
bushings
.
It
is
highly
re
comme
nded
that
the
oilite
by
replaced
with
1/4"
x
3/8"
ball
bearings.

It
is
now
tim
e
to
install
the
motor,
batteries,
radio,
and
speed
controller.
Instruct
ions
for
your
resistor
cont
rol
are
located
within
the
bag,
as
well
as
wiring
directions
.
Now
attach
the
receiver
and
throttle
servo
unit
to
the
chassis
in
the
positions
shown
in
photos
.
Next
install
the
motor.
Try
to
obtain
the
smoothest
gear
mesh
with
the
least
amount
of
backlash.
Assemble
the
batteries
as
shown
in
photos
by
care
fully
glueing
them
t
ogether
with
super
glue
.
Then
connect
the
batteries
in
series
as
shown
.
Tape
into
chassis.
Set
up
your
radio
system
following
the
radio
manufacturer's
instructions
.
Test
charge
your
car's
battery
pack
for
approximately
5
min
.
This
will
give
enough
power
to
set
the
throttl
e
and
steering
servo.
When
doing
this,
the
motor
should
be
unplugged.
Following
the
radio
instr
uct
ions,
set
the
trim
on
the
steering
wheel
and
position
your
throttle
and
wiper
arm
for
proper
movement
.
With
transmitter
on,
turn
car
receiver
on.
With
car
on a
flat
surface
,
front
wheel
alignment
may
be
set
by
adjusting
the
1/8"
collars
on
servo
tie
rods
.
Make
sure
that
the
servo
tie
rods
do
not
hit
or
bind
on
any
part
.
Also
check
wiper
arm
so
when
f
ull
power
is
applied,
the
wiper
stays
on
the
power
band.
Set
throttle
trim
on
radio
for
desired
amount
of
brakes
.
