Fresh Gas Compensation
AV-S uses spirometry information to adjust for:
◆Gas added to the system from the anaesthesia machine.
◆Losses in the system:
◆Gas compliance.
◆Maximum adjustment - 60% of set tidal volume.
◆Alarms if measured volume 50% different than set.
◆Alarm is user adjustable.
◆Ambient pressure compensation.
◆Adjusts delivered volume accordingly.
