. Afterfitting the strapand adjustingthe
length,

the strap
hard
to see
ifthe
straphas

activated

o Insert
anew batterywhen the mirrorisin
thenormal
position,
not
when itis
part-
way up,
as
itwillshorten
the battery
life.
1. Lift
upthecrank
onthe
bottom
ofthe
cam
eraandturnit
counterclockwise,and
take
outthe battery
case.
2. Put
anew batteryinto
the battery
caseand
reinsert
the batterycase
making
sure
that
the(
+ )
and (
- )
marks
onthe batterycor-
respond
with
the
(+ )
and
(- )
marksinside
the battery
chamber.
3. To
securethe batterycase,
turn the crank
in
thedirection
ofthearrowuntilthe reddots
a
lign.

Press
thebattery
check
button
atthe back
of
the
camera.
lf
the battery
check
lamp
does
not
light,the
battery
power
isinsufficient.
Insuch
acase,
replacethe battery
immediately.
Press
the safety device release button with a
pointed object, and pressthe shutter button
for one blank exposure.
The mirror will then
returnto its original down posltlon.
o When the battery
powerbecomes
insuffi-
cient,
the mirror
willstop partwayup block-
ingthe viewfinder.
r ltwill shorten
the battery
lifeif
the battery
check
button is
pressed
too frequently.
r Theshutter

decrease.

batterycord

keeping

warmunder

clothing.

theinnerbayonetlenses
areequipped
with automatic
diaphragm.
1. Detach
the
mount
capsonboth
thecamera
and
lensby
turning
counterclockwise.

2.Alignthe
redindexeson
thecamera
and
lens,andturn
the
lensclockwise.
The
lens
willbe
locked
in
place
with a
click.
o
When
an
automatic
diaphragmlenshas
been
attached
on the camerabefore
mounting
the
TTL pentaprism,
remove
thelens
and
remountit.This
isfor
set-
tingthecoupling
pin
of
the
TTLpenta-
prism
with thecamera'sdiaphragm
coupling
slide.
3. Todetach
the lens,
turnthe lens
counter-
clockwise
whilepressing
thelens
release
lever.
oWhen the lens
is
dismounted,
attach
the
caps
onto the lens
andcamera
to prevent
dirt
from getting
in
themechanism.

SHUTTER
RELEASE
WITHOUT
FILM
Theshutter
mechanism
of
the
67
camera
is
designed
to be
disengaged
when a
film
isnot
loaded.
Should
youneed
to release
the
shutter
without
loading
film,
followeither
one
ofthe
following
methods.
Open
the
camera
back
bysliding
the
release

b.
Turnthe exposure
counter
dialcounter-
clockwise
untilthe
counter
indicates
"1"or
more.

counter
dial.Turn
the
wind lever
until
theshutteris

SETTING
FILMTYPE
The
67camera
accommodates
twotypes
of
film:120
type
(10
exposures)
and
220
type
(20
exposures).
Whenever
changingfilm
types,
the
following
two
adjustmentsmust
bemade.
Theplateposition
canbeconfirmed
through
the 1201220film indicator
on the cameraback.
Asshown in
the photo,
press
and
shift
the
pressure
plate
accordingto the
filmtype you
areusrng.
o The
thicknessofthe
filmdiffersbetween
the 120
type and 220
type (120
type:
With back
paper,
220
type:Without back
paper).
Film
drag
and
imprecisefocusing
willoccur,
if
the pressure
plate
isnotset
correctly.

filmspool
retainer
knob,turntheknobcounterclockwise

pull
down.
Engaging
the
hole
ofthe
spool
to
theupper
film
retainer,
put
anemptyspool
into
the
filmchamber
belowthe
wind lever.
Then,
push
in
the
retainer
knobandturn
it
clockwise
to lock
inplace.
