PGF-V Battery Installation
Operation
The power switch is a round knob that is turned clockwise to power the fan on.The fan
speed is controlled by how far the knob is rotated so that the volume of air can be regulated.
To turn the fan off the knob needs to be rotated fully counter clockwise until a click is heard.
To adjust the position of the fan head; loosen the thumb screw, adjust the fan head position
and retighten the thumb screw. Do not over tighten the thumb screw.
NOTE: The Thumb Screw needs to be loosened before tilting the head. Failure to do so
could damage the adjusting mechanism or break the head of the PGF-V!
Motor Housing 1. Using a Phillips screw driver remove the screw on the
battery door cover. Then remove cover exposing the
battery connection
2. Plug the wire leading from the PGF-V into the plug on
the battery wire. This battery connection is a one way
plug and can only be installed in a specific direction. The
red and black wires will line up with each other when
properly aligned.

Is your PGF-V a little loose?
Every eort has been made to supply cup
adapters that t into the O.E.M. cup
holders. However, due to manufacturing
tolerances the sizes can vary slightly.
If needed, you can use one of the following
methods to create a more secure t:
1. Wrap duct tape around the cup adapter
to increase the width.
2. Add a piece of velcro to the bottom of
the cup adapter and the cup holder.

Boat Cup Holder Compatibility
Please Note: It’s very important NOT to have the PGF-V installed in the cup holder
when under power at higher speeds and/or in rough water.

Polymer Boat
Ring
We have done our very best to engineer a system of adapters that will fit into most
O.E.M. boat cup holders. However, there are so many different versions on the
market today it is impossible to insure they fit into every single one. Two cup adapters
and one polymer ring are supplied with the PGF-V that fit into most boat cup holders.
These adapters are shown below. Each adapter is numbered on the bottom for easy
identification.
Cup holders designed with LEDs, tangs, or smaller diameters will use adapter number
2 without the polymer boat ring as shown below.
Most cup holders found in boats will utilize the number 1cup adapter with the boat
polymer ring added. This combination of adapter/polymer ring and examples of the
cup holders it fits are shown below.

Make sure the fan is turned off before cleaning. Clean parts with a duster or damp cloth.
Use care around the motor housing to prevent liquid from coming in contact with motor.
Prior to resuming use make sure the PGF-V is dry and all moisture has been eliminated. Do
not immerse the PGF-V in any type of liquid or use abrasive cleaning solutions. When
storing the PGF-V in the off season, make sure it is in a dry environment and follow the
battery storage instructions on page 9.

Charging The Battery
The battery should be charged in a cool, dry place. Charging should be done with the fan off to avoid
the fan from running once the charger is removed. The built in safety circuit turns the fan off once the
charger is plugged into the PGF-V.The battery does not have to be fully discharged before recharging.
The battery will not develop a memory.
Approximate charge time is under 3 hours if the battery is completely discharged.
**Prolonged Storage of the PGF-V:To maintain maximum Battery Power and Longer
Service life of the PGF-V, the battery should be stored with a 50% charge. If the
charge level is unknown, then fully discharge the PGF-V and then add a charge for 1
½ hours. We suggest repeating this process every 3 months during non-usage**
1. Plug the charger into an AC wall outlet. The LED on the front of the charger will illuminate green.
2. Plug the charger output into the charging receptacle on the fan.
3.The LED on the charger will switch to red indicating that the battery is charging.
4. Once the battery is fully charged the LED on the charger will turn green.
5. Unplug the charger from the fan and the wall socket. The safety circuits in the charger and the battery
will discontinue the charge once the battery is fully charged.
6. It is recommended to unplug the charger when not in use and not rely solely on safety circuits.
NOTE: Lithium-Ion batteries, while in use, will continue to provide full power with very little power
fade unlike typical batteries. When the battery is fully discharged, the battery safety circuits will immediately
cut power to the fan motor. The battery circuits will not allow the fan to run until the battery has been
recharged.
Note: It is recommended that the PGF-V be charged on a non-flammable surface. The PGF-V is
supplied with an engineered charger and this is the ONLY charger that should be used
when charging the Lithium-Ion battery. Additional chargers can be purchased thru our web site.
