Important
Readtheseinstructionsforusecarefullybeforeusingtheapplianceandsavethemforfuture
reference.
Check if the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the local mains voltage
before you connect the appliance.
If the appliance is provided with an earthed plug, it must be plugged into an earthed wall
socket.
Do not use the appliance if the plug, the cord or the appliance itself shows visible damage, or
if the appliance has been dropped or is leaking.
Check the cord regularly for possible damage.
If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the mains.
Never immerse the iron and the stand, if provided, in water.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
The soleplate of the iron can become extremely hot and may cause burns if touched.
Do not allow the cord to come into contact with the soleplate when it is hot.
When you have nished ironing, when you clean the appliance, when you ll or empty the
water tank and also when you leave the iron even for a short while: set the steam control to
position O, put the iron on its heel and remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
Always place and use the iron and the stand, if provided, on a stable, level and horizontal
surface.
This appliance is intended for household use only.

Preparing for use
Filling the water tank
1 Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
2 Set the steam control to position O (= no steam) (Fig. 2).
3 Open the cap of the lling opening.
4 Tilt the iron and ll the water tank up to maximum level (Fig. 3).
If the tap water in your area is very hard, we advise you to use distilled water. Do not use
chemically descaled water.
Do not ll the water tank beyond the MAX indication.
Do not put perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals in the water
tank.
5 Close the cap of the lling opening (‘click’).
Setting the temperature
The iron may give off some smoke when you use it for the rst time. This will cease after a
short while.
1 Put the iron on its heel and set the temperature dial to the required ironing temperature by
turning it to the appropriate position (Fig. 4).

Using the appliance

1 Set the temperature dial to the recommended position (see section ‘Setting the
temperature’).
2 Set the steam control to the appropriate steam position (Fig. 2).

Ironing without steam
1 Set the steam control to position O(= no steam).
2 Set the temperature dial to the recommended position (see section ‘Setting the
temperature’).

1 Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank.
2 Press the spray button several times to moisten the article to be ironed (Fig. 5).

1 The shot-of-steam function can also be used when you are holding the iron in vertical
position.This is useful for removing creases from hanging clothes, curtains, etc (Fig. 7).
Never direct the steam at people.
Drip stop (GC2652/GC2650/GC2560/GC2522 only)
Thisironisequippedwithadripstopfunction:theironautomaticallystopsproducingsteamwhen
thetemperatureistoolowtopreventwaterfromdrippingoutofthesoleplate.Whenthishappens
youwillhearaclick.
Automatic shut-off (GC2560 only)
Theelectronicshut-offfunctionautomaticallyswitchestheheatingelementoffiftheironhasnot
beenmovedforawhile.
The automatic shut-off light starts blinking to indicate that the heating element has been
switched off. (Fig. 8)
Tolettheironheatupagain,picktheironupormoveitslightly.Theautomaticshut-offlightgoes
out.
1 If the temperature light goes on, wait for it to go out before you start ironing.
2 If the temperature light does not go on, the iron is ready for use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Double-Active Calc System
All types except GC2510:The Anti-Calc tablet prevents scale from clogging the steam vents.
The tablet is constantly active and does not need to be replaced (Fig. 9).
The Calc-Clean function removes the scale particles.
Calc-Clean function
UsetheCalc-Cleanfunctiononceeverytwoweeks.Ifthewaterinyourareaisveryhard(i.e.when
akescomeoutofthesoleplateduringironing),theCalc-Cleanfunctionshouldbeusedmore
frequently.

2 Fill the water tank to the maximum level.
Do not pour vinegar or other descaling agents into the water tank..
3 Set the temperature dial to MAX (Fig. 10).
4 Put the plug in the wall socket.
5 Unplug the iron when the temperature light has gone out.
6 Hold the iron over the sink and set the steam control to the Calc-Clean position (1).
The steam control will spring up slightly.
7 Pull the steam control upwards and remove it (Fig. 11).
8 Hold the iron over the sink and move it to and fro (Fig. 12).
Note: Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate. Impurities and scale (if any) will be ushed
out.
9 Use vinegar to remove scale, if any, from the steam control needle (Fig. 13).
Do not bend or damage the steam control needle.
10 Put the steam control back into the iron by inserting the point of the needle exactly in the
centre of the hole and by tting the small projection on the side of the needle into the slot.
Press down the steam control while turning it to position O (Fig. 14).
11 Repeat the Calc-Clean process if the iron still contains a lot of impurities.
After the Calc-Clean process
1 Put the plug in the wall socket and let the iron heat up to allow the soleplate to dry.
2 Unplug the iron when the temperature light has gone out.
3 Move the iron gently over a piece of used cloth to remove any water stains that may have
formed on the soleplate.
Storage
1 Set the steam control to position O, remove the plug from the wall socket and let the iron
cool down.
2 Clean the appliance and wipe scale and any other deposits off the soleplate with a damp
cloth and a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
Keep the soleplate smooth: avoid hard contact with metal objects.
Never use a scouring pad, vinegar or other chemicals.
3 Regularly rinse the water tank with water and empty it after cleaning (Fig. 15).
4 Wind the mains cord round the cord storage facility (Fig. 16).
5 Always store the iron standing on its heel in a safe and dry place.
Environment
Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve
the environment (Fig. 17).

Bacalahpetunjukpenggunaaninidenganseksamasebelummenggunakanalatdansimpanlahuntuk

4 Miringkan setrika dan isi tangki air hingga batas maksimal (Gbr. 3).
Jika air keran di daerah Anda memiliki kesadahan yang sangat tinggi, kami sarankan agar Anda
menggunakan air yang didistilasi. Jangan menggunakan cairan yang mengandung bahan kimia.
Jangan mengisi tangki air melewati tanda batas MAX.
Jangan memasukkan parfum, cuka, kanji, zat pembersih kerak, bahan pelembut penyetrikaan atau
bahan kimia lainnya ke dalam tangki air.
5 Pasang tutup lubang pengisian (‘klik’).

Pembersihan dan perawatan

Semua tipe selain GC2510:Tablet Anti-Calc mencegah kerak menyumbat saluran uap.Tablet
terus aktif dan tidak perlu diganti (Gbr. 9).
Fungsi Calc-Clean menghilangkan partikel-partikel kerak.

2 Isi tangki air sampai tingkat maksimum.
Jangan menuangkan cuka atau zat pembersih kerak lainnya ke dalam tangki air.
3 Setel tombol suhu ke MAX (Gbr. 10).
4 Masukkan steker ke stopkontak.
5 Cabut steker setrika setelah lampu suhu padam.
6 Pegang setrika di atas bak cuci dan setel kontrol uap ke posisi Calc-Clean (1). Kontrol uap
akan sedikit menonjol keluar.
7 Tarik kontrol uap ke atas dan lepaskan (Gbr. 11).
8 Pegang setrika di atas bak cuci lalu gerakkan maju-mundur (Gbr. 12).
Catatan: Uap dan air yang mendidih akan keluar dari tapak alat. Kotoran dan kerak air (kalau ada)
akan dibilas keluar.
9 Gunakan cuka untuk membersihkan kerak, kalau ada, dari jarum kontrol uap (Gbr. 13).
Jangan sampai jarum kontrol uap bengkok atau rusak.
10 Pasang kembali kontrol uap dengan menyisipkan ujung jarum tersebut tepat di tengah lubang
dan dengan memposisikan secara tepat tonjolan kecil pada sisi jarum ke dalam slot. Tekan ke
bawah kontrol uap seraya memutarkannya ke posisi O (Gbr. 14).
11 Ulangi proses ‘Calc-Clean’ jika setrika masih kotor.
Setelah proses ‘Calc-Clean’
1 Pasang steker ke stopkontak dinding dan tunggu setrika memanas agar tapaknya kering.
2 Cabut steker setrika setelah lampu suhu padam.
3 Gerakkan setrika perlahan-lahan di atas selembar kain bekas untuk menghilangkan noda air
yang mungkin terbentuk pada tapaknya.
Penyimpanan
1 Setel kontrol uap ke posisi O, lepaskan steker dari stopkontak dinding dan biarkan setrika
dingin.
2 Bersihkan alat dan seka kerak atau kotoran lainnya pada tapak dengan kain lembab dan cairan
pembersih (cair) yang tidak kasar.
Jaga aga tapak setrika tetap licin: hindari kontak dengan benda logam.
Jangan sekali-kali menggunakan bahan penggosok dari baja, cuka, atau bahan kimia lainnya.
3 Bilas tangki air secara teratur dengan air kemudian kosongkan setelah dibersihkan (Gbr. 15).
4 Gulung kabel listrik dalam wadahnya (Gbr. 16).
5 Selalu simpan setrika dengan posisi berdiri pada tumitnya di tempat yang aman dan kering.
Lingkungan
Jangan membuang alat bersama limbah rumah tangga biasa jika alat sudah tidak bisa dipakai
lagi, tetapi serahkan ke tempat pengumpulan barang bekas yang resmi untuk didaur ulang.
Dengan melakukan hal ini, berarti Anda turut melestarikan lingkungan (Gbr. 17).

중요사항
본제품을사용하기전에이설명서를주의깊게읽고,나중에참조할수있도록잘보관

제품에 전원을 연결하기 전에 제품에 표시된 전압과 사용 지역의 전압이 일치하는지
확인하십시오.
제품 플러그가 접지형인 경우, 반드시 접지형 벽면 콘센트에 꽂으십시오.
플러그, 전원 코드, 제품 본체에 눈에 띄는 손상이 있거나 제품을 떨어뜨렸거나 제품

사용 전 준비
물 탱크 채우기
1 벽면 콘센트에서 전원 플러그를 뽑으십시오.
2 스팀량 조절기를 ‘O’위치(=스팀 없음)에 맞추십시오 (그림 2).
3 물 주입구 뚜껑을 여십시오.
4 다리미를 기울여서 물 탱크에 물을 최대 수위(MAX)까지 채우십시오 (그림 3).
사용 지역의 수돗물이 심한 경수일 경우에는 증류수만 사용하는 것이 좋습니다. 화학적
으로 스케일 처리한 물을 사용하지 마십시오.
물 탱크는 최대 수위량 표시 MAX 이상 채우지 마십시오.
물 탱크에 향수, 식초, 풀, 스케일 제거제, 다림질 보조제, 기타 화학 약품을 넣지 마십시
오.
5 물 주입구 뚜껑을 여십시오(‘딸깍’ 소리가 남).
온도 조절
다리미를 처음 사용할 때에는 연기가 발생할 수도 있습니다. 하지만 잠시 후면 사라
집니다.
1 다리미를 똑바로 세우고 온도 조절기를 적절한 위치로 돌려 원하는 온도를 설정하십
시오 (그림 4).
다림질온도는의류에부착된세탁표시를참고하십시오.

1 순간 스팀 버튼을 눌렀다 놓으십시오 (그림 6).
수직 스팀(GC2510 모델만 제외)
1 순간 스팀 기능은 다리미를 수직으로 들고 있는 상태에서도 사용할 수 있습니다. 이
기능은 걸려있는 옷이나 커튼 등의 주름을 없애는 데 유용합니다 (그림 7).
절대 사람을 향해 스팀을 분사하지 마십시오.
누수 방지(GC2652/GC2650/GC2560/GC2522 모델만 해당)
이다리미에는누수방지기능이있습니다.온도가너무낮은경우열판에서물이떨어지
는것을방지하기위해다리미가스팀분사를자동으로중지합니다.이때,딸깍하는소
리가들립니다.
자동 전원 차단 기능(GC2560 모델만 해당)
다리미를일정시간동안사용하지않고가만히두었을경우,전자식안전장치가작동되
면서가열장치의전원을자동으로차단시켜줍니다.
가열 장치의 전원이 자동으로 차단되는 것을 알려주기 위해서 자동 전원 차단 표시등
이 깜박거립니다. (그림 8)
다리미를다시가열하려면다리미를들거나가볍게움직이십시오.자동전원차단표시
등이꺼집니다.
1 온도 표시등이 켜지면 다시 꺼질 때까지 기다렸다가 다림질을 시작하십시오.
2 온도 표시등이 켜지지 않으면 이미 다리미를 사용할 수 있는 준비가 되어 있다는 의
미입니다.

이중 스케일 방지 시스템
스케일 방지제는 스케일이 스팀 분사구를 막는 것을 방지합니다. 방지제는 영구적으
로 사용 가능하므로 교체할 필요가 없습니다(GC2510 모델만 제외) (그림 9).
스케일 세척 기능은 스케일 입자를 제거합니다.

스케일세척기능은2주일에한번씩사용하십시오.살고계신지역의물의경도가높을
