WARNINGS AND SAFEGUARDS
Before installation of the Polario™, read and follow these impor tant Warnings and Safeguards.
This product may contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause
cancer and or bir th defects or other reproductive harm. Wash your hand after
handling this product.
It is your sole responsibilities to verify that the plug and the receptacle are
clean and free of moisture and salt build up at all times. The receptacle
must be free of water, salt, calcium, magnesium and dust. Failure to do so
can cause fire, damage to property, permanent damage to the product and
personal injury not limited to loss of life.
Do not plug into extension cord/power strip.
A drip loop must be used when plugging all electrical aquarium devices. A drip
loop is that part of the cord hanging below the receptacle.
The national code requires that a GFCI (Ground fault circuit interrupter) be
used in the branch circuit supplying all power to water pumps and electrical
aquarium equipment. If you do not have a GFCI, have an electrician install
one prior to operating any aquarium component.
POLARIO
• Do not mount controller or transformer where it will come in contact with moisture or water.
• Never plug Polario™ into any other power supply.
• Do not mount the controller or transformer inside the stand.
• Do not operate the pump out of water.
• Do not put your hands or fingers in the propeller well.
• Intended for indoor use only.

TURBINE DUAL ACTION
RANDOM FLOW WATER
PATENT PENDING
• Energy efficient, high flow low voltage water pump
• Bi-directional outputs to simulate natural wave and
currents of the ocean
• Pre-set random flow and alternating outputs
• Random flow rates from approximately 600 GPH to
2600 GPH (2,300LPH to 10,000LPH) depending on
the model
• 360° degree directional pump mounting bracket with
magnet mount
must disconnect all electrical aquarium devices.
• Routine maintenance is required to ensure the maximum performance and the longevity of the
Polario™ water pump. See maintenance guidelines.
• The use of a computer grade surge suppressor is strongly recommended.
• Always use the large strainers to prevent small fish, anemones, and/or small inver tebrates from
entering the pump.
• If the controller or transformer comes in contact with water or moisture, the warranty is void!
• If the Polario™ is used with any other power supply, the warranty is void!
MAGNET MOUNT ! DANGER !
• Very strong magnet! Not a toy! Keep out of reach of children! Failure to do so will cause serious
injury and/or permanent damage to your aquarium.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Due to the strength of the magnets, they will attract other metals or magnets with force. When
installing or handling magnets, there must not be any other magnets or metals in close proximity to
the magnet holders. Failure to do so can cause serious injury.
• Keep away from devices sensitive to magnetic fields, such as pacemakers, data carriers, credit
cards, electronic equipment and medical devices. Failure to do so may result in permanent
damage to such devices.
• Never allow magnets to snap together.
• Always handle magnets one at a time. Once separated keep a minimum of 12in (30cm) apart.
• Hold magnets only by the sides. Never get your fingers or hands bet ween the contact surfaces.
• When using as an algae cleaner, keep the algae pad free of any abrasive materials to avoid any
damage to the aquarium.
Note: magnets are ver y strong and will attract other metals and magnets that will embed themselves
in the algae pad, thus damaging the aquarium.

MAINTENANCE:
It is the utmost importance to clean and maintain the pump monthly. Remove
the strainers to access the propeller. Remove the propeller which should slide
off the motor easily. Now reinstall and verify that the propeller rotates easily
around the motor. If the propeller binds or there is too much drag created: the
motor, propeller and ceramic shaft need to be cleaned well. These high speed
motors attract calcium build up, let the pump soak in a water/vinegar solution
for a minimum of 1 hour. (3 parts water to 1 part vinegar) Then clean well with
a small brush. If the pump has not been maintained on a regular basis or if
high amount of calcium is added this process may be needed to be repeated.
If there is any noticeable damage to the propeller replace immediately.
Verify the intake strainers are free and clean of all debris at all times
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Controller will not power up and/or pump will not turn on: It is imperative to
keep the pump clean and well maintained to ensure the pump is in good
working order and the propeller and strainer clean at all times, failure to do so
will cause the 4 ML, 7 ML and 10 ML controller to shut down. At that time the
fuse will have to be replaced.
SOLUTION:
1. Turn off the unit and unplug the transformer
2. Remove the back plate of the controller (1a).
3. Locate fuse and with a flat head screwdriver remove the blown fuse
4. Replace 1.6 amp fast blow fuse for 4ML and 2.5 amp fast blow fuse for
7ML and 10ML.
5. Install back plate of the unit.
6. Verify that the impeller is clean and free of all debris, the pump is placed
back into the aquarium and that the strainers are free of all debris.
7. Restart the unit.

Note: Polario™ pumps are equipped with an automatic safety SHUT-OFF.
If the pump is on and is removed from water, it will automatically shut off. To reset, secure the pump
back on the magnet mount, then turn controller OFF then ON to reset.
MAINTENANCE:
It is the utmost importance to clean and maintain the pump monthly. Remove the Large intake strainers
and the endcaps to access the propeller. Remove the propeller which should slide off the motor easily.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Controller will not power up and/or pump will not turn on: It is imperative to keep the pump clean and well
maintained to ensure the pump is in good working order and the impeller and strainer clean at all times,
failure to do so will cause the 15 ML & 22 ML controller to shut down until the problem or problems are
rectified. At that time the unit may just go to default setting where as the controller is plugged in and the
green transformer light will be on however the controller will not power up or may power up for just a
few seconds then shut down. In some instances the controller’s fuse has blown in addition to going to
default setting. Replace fuse with a 22ML 3.5a/250v and 15ML 3.5a/250v slow blow fuse.
SOLUTION:
1. Check all intake strainers verifying that they are free of all debris.
2. Remove the Large intake strainers and the endcaps to access the propeller. Verify that there is not
anything blocking the propellers rotation.
3. Remove the Large intake strainers and the endcaps to access the propeller. Remove the propeller
