ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
LOWER HALF OF WORKBENCH (2 PARTS)
1. Place one vertical beam (1) and one pre-bolted vertical assembly (2) on the floor, parallel to each
other (about 18"/45.7 cm apart). The widest part of the teardrop-shaped hole pattern on each
beam should be facing upward (or away from you). (Fig. A)
2. Insert the free end of the diagonal beam into the free end of the horizontal beam. Align the
holes, and insert both beams into the U-shaped bracket at the top of the opposing vertical
beam (1). Use the included hex key (14) or hex bit (15) to thread the vertical assembly bolt (3)
through the holes and into the weld nut attached to the U-shaped bracket. Do not fully tighten
the bolt yet. (Fig. B)
3. Swing out the bottom horizontal beam and insert it into the U-shaped bracket at the bottom of
the opposing vertical beam (1). Thread a vertical assembly bolt (3) through the holes and into
the weld nut. Do not fully tighten the bolt. (Fig. B)
4. Repeat Steps 1-4 to assemble the three remaining upright frames. Once all are assembled, fully
tighten the bolts on all four corners. Be careful not to over-tighten the bolts; there should be no
deformation of the U-shaped brackets and/or horizontal beams.
1. There is a set of locking tabs at both ends of every crossbeam (4). To begin assembly, take
one crossbeam (4) and insert the tabs into two of the holes on the lower portion of one upright
frame. Engage the locking tabs into the holes using a downward motion. The locking pin hole
should be at the top. Make sure the end of the crossbeam (4) is flush against the upright frame.
(Fig. C)
2. Repeat for the opposite side of the upright frame. Tap the ends of the crossbeam (4) closest to
the upright frames with a rubber mallet until fully seated. The crossbeam (4) and locking tabs
should easily slip into place. If they do not, then recheck the alignment of the teardrop-shaped

PART 2: DRAWER ASSEMBLY (FIG. F-I)
NOTICE
1. Open the fold up drawer (19) and install the drawer pull (20) by slipping it into the tabs on the
inside of the fold up drawer (19) front. Secure it using the provided drawer carriage bolt (22) and
nut (23) in the top corners of the fold up drawer (19). Make sure the nuts (23) are inside of the
fold up drawer (19). (Fig. F)
2. Using the remaining drawer carriage bolts (22) and nuts (23), secure the top corners of the fold
up drawer (19) on the opposite side of the drawer pull (20). (Fig. G)
3. NOTE: Ensure that the drawer slides open to the front of the rack.
Install the mounting brackets with the drawer slides onto the rack with six slots spaced from the
top of the vertical beams (1). This will be directly underneath the top set of crossbeams (4) that
were installed previously. This is done by positioning the mounting bracket with drawer slides
(21) on the inside edge of the rack uprights. Slide down the mounting bracket with drawer slides
(21) to seat them properly. Ensure both brackets are level with one another when tightening the
mounting bracket hardware. (Fig. H)
4. NOTE: Ensure mounting brackets with drawer slides (21) are level before installing the fold up
drawer (19). Have a helper assist with the install of the fold up drawer (19) onto the
drawer slides (21).
Slide the guides on the fold up drawer (19) into the rails on the mounting bracket (21): there
should be a distinct click when the guides have seated properly. (Fig. H)

Drywall anchors and anchor screws (16) are included with this rack; however, different wall materials
require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your specific type of wall. If you are
uncertain about what type of fasteners to use, please contact your local hardware store.
Each wire grid (9) consists of two sides – a “short” side and “long” side. If you plan on sliding objects
on and off of the shelf from the front of the rack, then we recommend having the “short” side of the
grid facing upward. If you plan on sliding objects from the side of the rack, then we recommend
having the “long” side facing upward.
The use of a step ladder is recommended for installing components at the top of the Workbench.
Serious injury or death can occur from the rack tipping over. To prevent this, the rack must be
secured to a wall, especially in earthquake-prone areas, where surfaces are uneven, and where
children and/or pets are present.

1. There are two wall mount bracket assemblies (16) to be used to secure the Workbench. One will
be installed on the backside of the crossbeam (4) right above the fold-up drawer (19). The other
one will need to be installed on the backside of the top crossbeam (4).
2. Take the U-shaped bracket and rock it up at an angle to attach it to the bottom inner channel
of the crossbeam (4). Once attached, the back portion will sit flush against the inside of the
crossbeam (4). (Fig. S)
3. Once attached, the U-shaped bracket can be moved from side to side [in between the two
safety straps (6)]. This allows for it to be attached to a 2 x 4 in the wall. (Fig. T)
4. The L-shaped bracket has two sets of four square holes that allow you to adjust the distance of
the rack to the wall. Use two carriage bolts (11) and two 10 mm nuts (12) to attach the L-shaped
bracket to the bottom of the U-shaped bracket. (Fig. U)
1. It is recommended that a laminated deck (8) is placed on the crossbeams (4) right above the
drawer (19) to serve as a work surface. To install the laminate deck (8), place it on the top ledge
of the crossbeams (4). If seated properly, it will “pop” into place and lay evenly. (Fig. V)
2. The last laminate deck (8) can be placed on any preferred set of crossbeams (4). The
recommended location is on the top set of crossbeams (4).
3. To install the wire grid (9), place the wire grid (9) onto the top ridge of a set of crossbeams (4).

the use of the two sets of left (29) and right (28) rear mounting brackets. Ensure that the hanging
tab arrows are pointing upwards on the rear mounting brackets (28, 29). (Fig. Y)
2. It is recommended that the rear pegboard mounting brackets (28, 29) be installed with the first
set of left (29) and right (28) rear mounting brackets placed right above the stacking plates (17) on
the rear of the Workbench. Slide down the brackets to fully seat them into the slots of the
upright frame. (Fig. Y)
3. Place the second set of rear mounting brackets (28, 29) above the already mounted set of rear
mounting brackets (28, 29) with a single slot in-between. Slide them down to seat them. (Fig. Y)
4. Install a single locking pin (10) into each of the rear mounting brackets (28, 29). This will ensure
that the brackets do not shift around and fall while the pegboard (24) is being mounted. (Fig. Y)
5. The pegboard (24) is mounted in between the rear mounting brackets (28, 29) by sliding the
pegboard (24) down from the top of the rear mounting from the backside of the Workbench.
Ensure that all of the tabs on the rear mounting brackets (28, 29) are inside the pegboard (24)
and are fully seated. A rubber mallet or small dead blow (not included) can be used to lightly tap
the top left and right corners of the pegboard (24) to seat it properly. (Fig. Z)
6. Each rear mounting bracket (28, 29) will have two small pin holes where the pegboard (24)
is mounted. Use two small locking pins (30) for each rear mounting bracket. If the pins do

CORD MINDERS (2 PARTS)
1. Determine the mounting location for the cord minders. Place a cord minder bracket (32) onto the
upright of the rack and slide it down to secure it in place. Sometimes the cord minder brackets
(32) will need to be tapped down with the palm of the hand or gently with a rubber mallet to seat
properly. (Fig. DD)
2. Install the locking pins (10). (Fig. EE)
3. Place the second cord minder into position so that the distance between the two cord minders
is at the desired length. (Fig. FF)
1. To rotate the bracket (32) pull as close to the base of the bracket (32) as possible. Then rotate to
the desired position and release. Do not pull from the top of the bracket (32). (Fig. GG)
2. When wrapping extension cords or other cables around the cord minder (32), it is recommended
to have the brackets (32) in opposite orientation with the top cord minder (32) in the up position
and the bottom cord minder (32) in the down position (Fig. HH). This prevents the cord from
unintentionally slipping off of the cord minder (32). Do not overload.
3. When removing cords or cables do not attempt to slide the cord off before rotating the brackets
(32). This may cause damage to the cord, the bracket (32), or cause the rack to tip.
