1 DESCRIPTION
1.1 PURPOSE
The machine is used to grind metals and sand metal surfaces.

Make sure that you do/obey all safety instructions.
Refer to Safety Manual.
3 INSTALLATION
3.1 UNPACK THE MACHINE
WARNING
Make sure that you correctly assemble the machine before
use.
WARNING
• If the parts are damaged, do not use the machine.
• If you do not have all the parts, do not operate the
machine.
• If the parts are damaged or missing, speak to the service
center.
1. Open the package.
2. Read the documentation in the box.
3. Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.
4. Remove the machine from the box.
5. Discard the box and package in compliance with local
regulations.
3.2 INSTALL THE BATTERY PACK

WARNING
• If the battery pack or charger is damaged, replace the
battery pack or the charger.
• Stop the machine and wait until the motor stops before
you install or remove the battery pack.
• Read, know, and do the instructions in the battery and
charger manual.
1. Align the lift ribs on the battery pack with the grooves in
the battery compartment.
2. Push the battery pack into the battery compartment until
the battery pack locks into place.
3. When you hear a click, the battery pack is installed.
3.3 REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK

1. Push and hold the battery release button.
2. Remove the battery pack from the machine.
3.4 INSTALL THE AUXILIARY
HANDLE

WARNING
The auxiliary handle must be used to help prevent loss of
control and possible injury.
The auxiliary handle can be installed on the left or right side
of the machine.
1. Install the auxiliary handle into the necessary position.
2. Turn the auxiliary handle clockwise to tighten.
4 OPERATION
WARNING
Always wear eye protection.
WARNING
Do not use any attachments or accessories not
recommended by the manufacturer of this product.
4.1 START THE MACHINE

1. To start the machine, push the On/Off switch forward.
2. To lock the On/Off switch, push the On/Off switch down
at the front until it latches.
4.2 STOP THE MACHINE

1. To stop the machine, release the On/Off switch or, if it is
locked, briefly push the rear of the On/Off switch and
then release it.
2. To keep energy, only switch the machine on when you
use it.

WARNING
Examine the machine before you use. The machine must be
installed correctly and can move freely. Do a test to operate
for 1 minute with no load. Do not use damaged, out of
centre or vibration machine. Damaged machine can break
and cause injuries
4.3 ADJUST THE GUARD

WARNING
Adjust the guard on the machine correctly refer to which
side you install the handle.
WARNING
Let the guard in front of the machine. If not, sparks and
loose pieces of the grinding wheel can cause injury to the
operator. Put the guard in the correct location.
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Pull the guard clasp to unlock the guard.
3. Turn the guard to its correct position.
4. Push the guard clasp in to lock the guard.
NOTE
Make sure that you install the ridge on the guard in the
groove of the bearing cap.
4.4 REPLACE THE GUARD
WARNING
Do not change or loosen guard screw. Failure to follow this
warning can make the guard to become loose during
operation and cause injury.
After extended use, you must replace the guard. If you fall the
machine and cause damage the guard. It is also necessary for
you to replace the guard.
WARNING
To prevent loss of control and possible injury, operate the
machine with two hands and keep one hand on the auxiliary
handle.
• Remove the battery pack from the machine.
• Push the spindle lock.
• Use a wrench to loosen and remove clamp nut.
• Remove grinding wheel and disc flange.
• Pull the guard clasp to unlock the guard.
• Remove the guard from the groove in the housing.
• Put the new guard on the shoulder of the bearing cap.
• Adjust the guard to the correct position.
NOTE
Make sure you install the ridge on the guard in the groove
on the bearing cap.
• Install disc flange, grinding wheel, and clamp nut.
• Tighten the clamp nut.
4.5 OPERATE THE MACHINE
Use correct grinding wheels that are recommended for the
material. Make sure that the minimum speed of a accessory
wheel is 6,500 r/min. or more. The grinding wheel is correct
for grinding welds, preparing surfaces to be welded, grinding
structural steel, and grinding stainless steel.
CAUTION
Do not use the machine without the guard. Use the machine
without guard will cause injury to the operator.
NOTE
Make sure all work in a vise or clamp to a workbench.
1. Use two hands to hold the machine in front and away
from you and the workpices.
2. Start the grinder and let the engine and grinding wheel
increase to full speed.
3. Lower the grinder until the grinding wheel touches the
workpiece.
4. Keep the machine tilted at an angle from 5° to 15° and
move at a stable speed.
5. Use sufficient pressure to keep the machine stable.
6. Lift the machine away from the workpiece before you
stop the machine.
WARNING
To prevent loss of control and injury,operate the machine
with two hands and keep one hand on the auxiliary handle.
NOTE
If you put the machine in one point too long or hold the
machine at too sharp an angle, it will make grooves in the
workpiece.
NOTE
Heavy pressure decreases the speed and put a strain on the
engine. The weight of the machine is sufficient for most
grinding works. Use light pressure when you grind jagged
edges or loose bolts where there is the possible to stop the
machine on the metal edge.

5 MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Remove the battery pack from the machine before
maintenance.
WARNING
Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic
housing or components.
5.1 GENERAL MANINTENANCE
• Before each use, examine the machine for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts and
caps.
• Clean the machine with a dry cloth. Do not use slovents.
WARNING
Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based materials
touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can cause damage to the
plastic, and make the plastic unserviceable.
CAUTION
Use only approved replacement parts.

7 WARRANTY

The Powerworks warranty is 3 years on the product, and 2
years on batteries (consumer/private usage) from the date of
purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing faults. A faulty
product under warranty might be either repaired or replaced.
A unit that has been misused or used in other ways then
described in the owner’s manual might be rejected for
warranty. Normal wear, and wear parts are not considered as
warranty. The original manufacturer warranty is not affected
by any additional warranty offered by a dealer or retailer.
A faulty product must be returned to the point of purchase in
order to claim for warranty, together with the proof of
purchase (receipt).

1 BESCHREIBUNG
1.1 VERWENDUNGSZWECK
Die Maschine wird zum Schleifen von Metallen und zum
Schmirgeln von Metalloberflächen eingesetzt.

WARNUNG
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise
befolgen.
Siehe Sicherheitshandbuch.
3 MONTAGE
3.1 MASCHINE AUSPACKEN
WARNUNG
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Sie die Maschine vor dem
Gebrauch richtig montiert haben.
WARNUNG
• Bei beschädigten Teilen dürfen Sie die Maschine nicht
verwenden.
• Wenn Sie nicht alle Teile haben, dürfen Sie die
Maschine nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
• Wenn Teile beschädigt sind oder fehlen, wenden Sie
sich an die Servicestelle.
1. Öffnen Sie die Verpackung.
2. Lesen Sie die beiliegende Dokumentation.
3. Entnehmen Sie alle unmontierten Teile aus dem Karton.
4. Nehmen Sie die Maschine aus dem Karton.
5. Entsorgen Sie den Karton und die Verpackung gemäß den
örtlichen Vorschriften.
3.2 AKKUPACK EINSETZEN

WARNUNG
• Wenn der Akkupack oder das Ladegerät beschädigt ist,
ersetzen Sie den Akkupack oder das Ladegerät.
• Stoppen Sie die Maschine und warten Sie, bis der
Motor stoppt, bevor Sie den Akkupack einbauen oder
entnehmen.
• Lesen, kennen und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen im
Handbuch für Akku und Ladegerät.
1. Richten Sie die Hubrippen am Akkupack mit den Nuten
im Akkufach aus.
2. Schieben Sie den Akkupack in das Akkufach, bis er
einrastet.
3. Wenn Sie ein Klicken hören, ist der Akkupack eingesetzt.
3.3 AKKUPACK ENTFERNEN

1. Drücken und halten Sie die Batterieentriegelungstaste.
2. Nehmen Sie den Akkupack aus der Maschine.
3.4 MONTIEREN DES ZUSATZGRIFFS

WARNUNG
Der Zusatzgriff muss verwendet werden, um
Kontrollverlust und mögliche Verletzungen zu vermeiden.
Der Zusatzgriff kann auf der linken oder rechten Seite der
Maschine angebracht werden.
1. Montieren Sie den Zusatzgriff in der erforderlichen
Position.
2. Drehen Sie den Zusatzgriff im Uhrzeigersinn, um ihn
festzuziehen.
4 BEDIENUNG
WARNUNG
Tragen Sie immer einen Augenschutz.
WARNUNG
Verwenden Sie keine Aufsätze oder Zubehörteile, die nicht
vom Hersteller dieses Produkts empfohlen werden.
4.1 MASCHINE STARTEN

1. Um die Maschine zu starten, drücken Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter nach vorne.
2. Um den Ein-/Ausschalter zu verriegeln, drücken Sie den
Ein-/Ausschalter an der Vorderseite nach unten, bis er
einrastet.

4.2 MASCHINE ANHALTEN

1. Um die Maschine zu stoppen, lassen Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter los oder, wenn er verriegelt ist, drücken Sie
kurz die Hinterseite des Ein-/Ausschalters und lassen Sie
ihn dann los.
2. Um Energie zu sparen, schalten Sie die Maschine nur ein,
wenn Sie sie benutzen.
WARNUNG
Überprüfen Sie das Gerät vor dem Gebrauch. Die Maschine
muss korrekt installiert sein und sich frei bewegen können.
Führen Sie einen Leerlauftest durch für die Dauer von
1 Minute. Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten, nicht
zentrierten oder vibrationsbelasteten Maschinen. Eine
beschädigte Maschine kann kaputt gehen und Verletzungen
verursachen
4.3 EINSTELLEN DER
SCHUTZABDECKUNG

WARNUNG
Stellen Sie die Schutzabdeckung an der Maschine richtig
ein, je nachdem, auf welche Seite Sie den Griff montieren.
WARNUNG
Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich die Schutzabdeckung immer
zwischen Ihnen und den rotierenden Teilen der Maschine
befindet. Andernfalls können Funken und lose Teile der
Schleifscheibe zu Verletzungen des Bedieners führen.
Bringen Sie die Schutzabdeckung an die richtige Stelle.
1. Entfernen Sie den Akkupack.
2. Ziehen Sie am Schutzabdeckungsverschluss , um die
Schutzabdeckung zu entriegeln.
3. Drehen Sie die Schutzabdeckung in die richtige Position.
4. Drücken Sie den Schutzabdeckungsverschluss ein, um die
Schutzabdeckung zu verriegeln.
HINWEIS
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie das Spannteil in der
Schutzabdeckung in der Nut der Lagerabdeckung
montieren.
4.4 ERSETZEN DER
SCHUTZABDECKUNG
WARNUNG
Die Schraube der Schutzabdeckung darf nicht verändert
oder gelöst werden. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Warnung
kann dazu führen, dass sich die Schutzabdeckung während
des Betriebs löst und Verletzungen verursacht.
Nach längerem Gebrauch müssen Sie die Schutzabdeckung
austauschen. Wenn Sie die Maschine fallen lassen und die
Schutzabdeckung beschädigt wird, ist es auch notwendig, die
Schutzabdeckung austauschen.
WARNUNG
Um den Verlust der Kontrolle und mögliche Verletzungen
zu vermeiden, bedienen Sie die Maschine mit zwei Händen
und halten Sie eine Hand am Zusatzgriff.
• Nehmen Sie den Akkupack aus der Maschine.
• Drücken Sie die Spindelarretierung.
• Lösen und entfernen Sie die Klemmmutter mit einem
Schraubenschlüssel.
• Schleifscheibe und Scheibenflansch entfernen.
• Ziehen Sie am Schutzabdeckungsverschluss , um die
Schutzabdeckung zu entriegeln.
• Entfernen Sie die Schutzabdeckung aus der Nut im
Gehäuse.
• Setzen Sie die neue Schutzabdeckung auf die Schulter des
Lagerdeckels.
• Bringen Sie die Schutzabdeckung in die richtige Position.
HINWEIS
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie das Spannteil in der
Schutzabdeckung in der Nut an der Lagerabdeckung
montieren.
• Scheibenflansch, Schleifscheibe und Klemmmutter
montieren.
• Ziehen Sie die Klemmmutter an.
4.5 BEDIENUNG DER MASCHINE
Verwenden Sie die richtigen Schleifscheiben, die für das
Material empfohlen werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die
Mindestdrehzahl einer Zusatzscheibe 6.500 U/min oder mehr
beträgt. Die Schleifscheibe ist für das Schleifen von
Schweißnähten, das Vorbereiten von zu schweißenden
Oberflächen und für das Schleifen von Baustahl und
Edelstahl geeignet.
VORSICHT
Verwenden Sie die Maschine nicht ohne Schutzabdeckung.
Die Verwendung der Maschine ohne Schutzabdeckung führt
zu Verletzungen des Bedieners.
HINWEIS
Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Arbeiten in einem Schraubstock
oder einer Zwinge an einer Werkbank durchgeführt werden.
1. Halten Sie die Maschine mit zwei Händen vor sich und
von sich und den Werkstücken fern.
2. Starten Sie die Schleifmaschine und lassen Sie den Motor
und die Schleifscheibe auf volle Drehzahl ansteigen.

3. Senken Sie die Schleifmaschine ab, bis die Schleifscheibe
das Werkstück berührt.
4. Halten Sie die Maschine in einem Winkel von 5° bis 15°
geneigt und bewegen Sie sie mit einer gleichmäßigen
Geschwindigkeit.
5. Verwenden Sie genügend Druck, um die Maschine stabil
zu halten.
6. Heben Sie die Maschine vom Werkstück weg, bevor Sie
die Maschine anhalten.
WARNUNG
Um den Verlust der Kontrolle und Verletzungen zu
vermeiden, bedienen Sie die Maschine mit zwei Händen
und halten Sie eine Hand am Zusatzgriff.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie die Maschine zu lange an einer Stelle halten oder
die Maschine in einem zu engen Winkel halten, entstehen
Furchen im Werkstück.
HINWEIS
Ein starker Druck verringert die Drehzahl und belastet den
Motor. Das Gewicht der Maschine ist für die meisten
Schleifarbeiten ausreichend. Verwenden Sie nur leichten
Druck, wenn Sie gezackte Kanten oder lose Schrauben
schleifen, falls die Gefahr besteht, dass die Maschine an der
Metallkante blockiert.
5 WARTUNG UND
INSTANDHALTUNG
WARNUNG
Nehmen Sie den Akkupack vor der Wartung aus der
Maschine.
WARNUNG
Verwenden Sie keine starken Lösungsmittel oder
Reinigungsmittel auf dem Kunststoffgehäuse oder den
Bauteilen.
5.1 ALLGEMEINE WARTUNG
• Prüfen Sie die Maschine vor jedem Einsatz auf
beschädigte, fehlende oder lose Teile wie Schrauben,
Muttern, Bolzen und Kappen.
• Reinigen Sie die Maschine mit einem trockenen Tuch.
Verwenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel.
WARNUNG
Lassen Sie Bremsflüssigkeiten, Benzin und
mineralölbasierte Materialien nicht mit den Kunststoffteilen
in Berührung kommen. Chemikalien können den Kunststoff
beschädigen und ihn unbrauchbar machen.

Verwenden Sie nur zugelassene Ersatzteile.

im Rahmen der Garantie fehlerhaftes Produkt kann entweder
repariert oder ersetzt werden. Ein Gerät, das missbräuchlich
oder auf andere Weise als zu in der Bedienungsanleitung
beschrieben Zwecken verwendet wurde, kann von der
Garantie ausgeschlossen werden. Normaler Verschleiß und

3 INSTALACIÓN
3.1 DESEMBALAJE DE LA MÁQUINA
AVISO
Asegúrese de montar correctamente la máquina antes del
uso.
AVISO
• Si las piezas presentan daños, no utilice la máquina.
• Si no tiene todas las piezas, no utilice la máquina.
• Si faltan piezas o hay piezas dañadas, hable con el
centro de servicio.
1. Abra el embalaje.
2. Lea la documentación que se encuentra en la caja.
3. Retire todas las piezas sin montar de la caja.
4. Retire la máquina de la caja.
5. Deseche la caja y el embalaje de conformidad con los
reglamentos locales.
3.2 INSTALACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA

AVISO
• Si la batería o el cargador ha sufrido daños, sustituya la
batería o el cargador.
• Detenga la máquina y espere hasta que el motor se pare
antes de instalar o retirar la batería.
• Debe leer, conocer y seguir las instrucciones del manual
de la batería y el cargador.
1. Alinee las nervaduras de elevación de la batería con las
ranuras del compartimento de la batería.
2. Introduzca la batería en el compartimento de la batería
hasta que encaje en su posición.
3. Cuando escuche un clic, la batería está instalada.
3.3 RETIRADA DE LA BATERÍA

1. Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de desbloqueo de la
batería.
2. Retire la batería de la máquina.
3.4 INSTALACIÓN DEL ASA
AUXILIAR

AVISO
El asa auxiliar debe utilizarse para ayudar a evitar la pérdida
de control y posibles lesiones.
El asa auxiliar puede instalarse en el lado izquierdo o derecho
de la máquina.
1. Instale el asa auxiliar en la posición deseada.
2. Gire el asa auxiliar en sentido horario para apretarla.
4 FUNCIONAMIENTO
AVISO
Lleve siempre protección ocular.
AVISO
No utilice ningún accesorio no recomendado por el
fabricante de este producto.
4.1 PUESTA EN MARCHA DE LA
MÁQUINA

1. Para poner en marcha la máquina, empuje el interruptor
de encendido/apagado hacia delante.
2. Para bloquear el interruptor de encendido/apagado,
presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado en la parte
delantera hasta que se enganche.

4.2 DETENCIÓN DE LA MÁQUINA

1. Para detener la máquina, suelte el interruptor de
encendido/apagado o, si está bloqueado, presione
brevemente la parte trasera del interruptor de encendido/
apagado y posteriormente suéltelo.
2. Para ahorrar energía, encienda la máquina únicamente
cuando la utilice.
AVISO
Examine la máquina antes del uso. La máquina debe estar
instalada correctamente y poder moverse libremente. Haga
una prueba de funcionamiento durante 1 minuto sin carga.
No utilice máquinas dañadas, descentradas o con
vibraciones. Una máquina dañada puede romperse y
producir lesiones
4.3 AJUSTE DE LA PROTECCIÓN

AVISO
Ajuste la protección en la máquina correctamente, consulte
en qué lado instalar el asa.
AVISO
Deje la protección delante de la máquina. En caso contrario,
las chispas y trozos sueltos del disco de amolado pueden
producir lesiones al operario. Ponga la protección en el
lugar correcto.
1. Retire la batería.
2. Tire del cierre de la protección para desbloquearla.
3. Sitúe la protección en su posición correcta.
4. Empuje el cierre de la protección hacia dentro para
bloquearla.
NOTA
Asegúrese de instalar el borde de la protección en la ranura
de la tapa del rodamiento.
4.4 SUSTITUCIÓN DE LA
PROTECCIÓN
AVISO
No cambie ni afloje el tornillo de la protección. El
incumplimiento de esta advertencia puede hacer que la
protección se afloje durante el funcionamiento y producir
lesiones.
Después de un uso prolongado, debe sustituir la protección.
Si se cae la máquina y la protección sufre daños, también es
necesario sustituir la protección.
AVISO
Para evitar la pérdida de control y posibles lesiones, utilice
la máquina con las dos manos y mantenga una mano en el
asa auxiliar.
• Retire la batería de la máquina.
• Presione el bloqueo del eje.
• Utilice una llave para aflojar y retirar la tuerca de presión.
• Retire el disco de amolado y la brida del disco.
• Tire del cierre de la protección para desbloquearla.
• Retire la protección de la ranura en la carcasa.
• Coloque la nueva protección en el borde de la tapa del
rodamiento.
• Ajuste la protección en la posición correcta.
NOTA
Asegúrese de instalar el borde de la protección en la ranura
de la tapa del rodamiento.
• Instale la brida del disco, el disco de amolado y la tuerca
de presión.
• Apriete la tuerca de presión.
4.5 FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA
MÁQUINA
Utilice los discos de amolado correctos que se recomiendan
para el material. Asegúrese de que la velocidad mínima de un
disco accesorio sea de 6.500 r/min. o más. El disco de
amolado es correcto para amolar soldaduras, preparar
superficies para soldar, amolar acero estructural y amolar
acero inoxidable.
PRECAUCIÓN
No utilice la máquina sin la protección. La utilización de la
máquina sin protección producirá lesiones al operario.
NOTA
Asegúrese de que todo el trabajo se realice en un tornillo de
banco o fijado a una mesa de trabajo.
1. Utilice las dos manos para sujetar la máquina delante y
alejada de usted y las piezas de trabajo.
2. Ponga en marcha la amoladora y deje que el motor y el
disco de amolado aumenten a la velocidad máxima.
3. Baje la amoladora hasta que el disco de amolado toque la
pieza de trabajo.
4. Mantenga la máquina inclinada en un ángulo de 5° a 15°
y muévase a una velocidad estable.
5. Utilice suficiente presión para mantener la máquina
estable.
6. Levante la máquina de la pieza de trabajo antes de
detenerla.

AVISO
Para evitar la pérdida de control y lesiones, utilice la
máquina con las dos manos y mantenga una mano en el asa

NOTA
Si deja la máquina en un punto demasiado tiempo o la
mantiene en un ángulo demasiado agudo, hará ranuras en la
pieza de trabajo.
NOTA
A mayor presión, más disminuirá la velocidad y más
tensión se ejercerá sobre el motor. El peso de la máquina es
suficiente para la mayoría de los trabajos de amolado.
Utilice una presión ligera cuando amole bordes irregulares o
pernos sueltos donde sea posible detener la máquina en el
borde metálico.
5 MANTENIMIENTO
AVISO
Retire la batería de la máquina antes de realizar tareas de
mantenimiento.
AVISO
No utilice disolventes o detergentes fuertes en la carcasa o
los componentes de plástico.
5.1 MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL
• Antes de cada uso, examine la máquina para comprobar si
hay piezas dañadas, ausentes o sueltas como tornillos,
tuercas, pernos y tapas.
• Limpie la máquina con un paño seco. No utilice
disolventes.
AVISO
No permita que líquidos de frenos, gasolina y otros
derivados del petróleo toquen las piezas de plástico. Las
sustancias químicas pueden dañar el plástico y hacer que
quede inservible.

3 INSTALLAZIONE
3.1 DISIMBALLAGGIO

Assicurarsi di assemblare correttamente l'apparecchio prima

l'apparecchio.

3.2 INSTALLAZIONE DEL GRUPPO

• Se il gruppo batteria o il caricabatteria sono
danneggiati, sostituirli.
• Arrestare l'apparecchio e attendere che il motore si
arresti prima di installare o rimuovere il gruppo batteria.
• Leggere, comprendere e rispettare le istruzioni riportate
nel manuale della batteria e del caricabatteria.
1. Allineare le sporgenze sul gruppo batteria con le
scanalature sul vano batteria.
2. Fare scorrere la batteria nel vano batteria finché non si
blocca in posizione.
3. Deve emettere un "clic".
3.3 RIMOZIONE DEL GRUPPO

L'impugnatura ausiliaria deve essere utilizzata per evitare il
rischio di perdita di controllo e lesioni.
L'impugnatura ausiliaria può essere installata sul lato sinistro
o destro dell'apparecchio.
1. Installare l'impugnatura ausiliaria nella posizione
desiderata.
2. Ruotare l'impugnatura in senso orario per serrarla.

Indossare sempre protezioni per gli occhi.

Non usare accessori non raccomandati dal costruttore
dell'apparecchio.

arresto in avanti.
2. Per bloccare l'interruttore di avvio/arresto, spostarlo in
avanti e premerlo finché non si blocca.

4.2 ARRESTO DELL'APPARECCHIO

1. Per arrestare l'apparecchio, rilasciare l'interruttore di
avvio arresto o, se è bloccato, portarlo brevemente
all'indietro e rilasciarlo.
2. Per risparmiare energia, accendere l'apparecchio appena
prima di usarlo.
AVVERTIMENTO
Ispezionare l'apparecchio prima di ogni utilizzo.
L'apparecchio deve essere installato correttamente e deve
potersi muovere liberamente. Effettuare un test a vuoto per
1 minuto. Non usare l'apparecchio se è danneggiato,
decentrato o se vibra perché può rompersi e causare lesioni.
4.3 REGOLAZIONE DELLA CUFFIA
DI PROTEZIONE

AVVERTIMENTO
Regolare la cuffia di protezione correttamente in base al lato
di installazione dell'impugnatura.
AVVERTIMENTO
La cuffia di protezione deve essere posizionata sulla parte
anteriore dell'apparecchio per evitare che scintille e
particelle del disco abrasivo possano ferire l'operatore.
Installare la cuffia di protezione nella posizione corretta.
1. Rimuovere il gruppo batteria.
2. Tirare il fermaglio della cuffia di protezione per
sbloccarla.
3. Ruotare la cuffia di protezione fino alla posizione
desiderata.
4. Premere il fermaglio della cuffia di protezione per
bloccarla.
NOTA
Assicurarsi di inserire la sporgenza sulla cuffia di
protezione nella scanalatura del cappello del cuscinetto.
4.4 SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CUFFIA
DI PROTEZIONE
AVVERTIMENTO
Non sostituire o allentare la vite della cuffia di protezione
per evitare che la cuffia di protezione possa allentarsi
durante l'uso e causare lesioni.
Sostituire la cuffia di protezione dopo un uso prolungato. Se
l'apparecchio subisce una caduta, la cuffia di protezione
potrebbe danneggiarsi; sostituirla.
AVVERTIMENTO
Per evitare il rischio di perdita di controllo e lesioni, usare
l'apparecchio con entrambe le mani e tenere una mano
sull'impugnatura ausiliaria.
• Rimuovere il gruppo batteria dall'apparecchio.
• Premere il pulsante di bloccaggio dell'alberino.
• Usare una chiave per allentare e rimuovere il dado di
bloccaggio.
• Rimuovere il disco abrasivo e la flangia del disco.
• Tirare il fermaglio della cuffia di protezione per
sbloccarla.
• Rimuovere la cuffia di protezione dalla scanalatura
sull'apparecchio.
• Inserire la nuova cuffia di protezione sulla spalla del
cappello del cuscinetto.
• Portare la cuffia di protezione nella posizione desiderata.
NOTA
Assicurarsi di inserire la sporgenza sulla cuffia di
protezione nella scanalatura del cappello del cuscinetto.
• Installare la flangia del disco, il disco abrasivo e il dado
di bloccaggio.
• Serrare il dado di bloccaggio.
4.5 UTILIZZO DELL'APPARECCHIO
Utilizzare dischi abrasivi adatti al materiale in lavorazione.
Assicurarsi che la velocità minima del disco abrasivo sia di
almeno 6500 r/min. Usare dischi abrasivi adatti per
smerigliare saldature e preparare superfici da saldare e per
smerigliare acciaio strutturale e acciaio inox.
AVVERTENZA
Non usare l'apparecchio senza la cuffia di protezione per
evitare il rischio di lesioni.
NOTA
Assicurarsi di fissare il pezzo in lavorazione in una morsa o
al banco di lavoro.
1. Afferrare l'apparecchio con entrambe le mani e tenerlo
davanti e lontano da sé e dal pezzo in lavorazione.
2. Avviare l'apparecchio e attendere che il motore e il disco
abrasivo raggiungano la massima velocità.
3. Abbassare l'apparecchio finché il disco abrasivo non
tocca il pezzo in lavorazione.
4. Tenere l'apparecchio inclinato a un angolo compreso tra
5° e 15° e muoverlo a una velocità costante.
5. Applicare solo la pressione necessaria a mantenere
l'apparecchio stabile.
6. Sollevare l'apparecchio dal pezzo in lavorazione prima di
arrestarlo.
