any

operated
eitherbythe

remotecontrol
orthesmall
hand
heldcontrolsupplied

Free
Standing

surfaceand
not
subjectedtoexcessive
vibration.
Stacked

player

stackedontop

directlyontop

Atthebackof

at

playing

As

The
player
mechanism
is

with
self-lubricating
bearings
andnoroutine
maintenance
isrequired.
lfnecessary
the
casecan
becleanedwith
a softbrush
or,
formore
stubborn
marks,
aslightlymoistened
lint-free
cloth.Inthis
eventremove
themains
plug
from
the
supplysocket.
Donot
use
cleaning
agents,solvents
orabrasives.
The
disccompartment
should
be
kept
freefrom
dust.
Remote
Control BatteryReplacement
- In normal
usethe batteries
fitted
shouldlastfor approximately
one year. Low batterieswill causeerratic
operation
andreduce
the
operatingrange.
To replace
the batteries
turnthe unitupside
down
andclip
offthe battery
compadment
lid
(inseft
thumbnail
intowider
slot,
press
and
lift
uplid).
Insert
thenew
batteries
carefully,
ensuring
polarity
is
asshownin
the
battery
compartment,
andrefit
the
battery
compartment
lid.The
controlis
nowready
for
operation.
Always
useleakproof
batteries
(two
AAA
size
alkaline
cells)andnever
mix
battery
types
orre-use
old
batteries.
Although
themusic
tracks
onacompact
discare
coveredwith
a
protective
layer,
itis
stilladvisable
tohandle
adisccarefully.
Aslong
as
you
always
pick
up
discs
bythe
edge
and
put
them
backin
their
protective
holdersimmediately
after
use,
cleaning
willnot
normally
benecessary.
However,
shouldfingerprints,
dust
ordirtymarks
appearon
adisc
you
canwipe
them
offwith
asoftlintfree
cloth.Always
wipe
the
disc
in
straightlines
from
the
centre
tothe
outer
edge.

you
can
breathe
onthe
discfirst
butdetergents,
abrasive
cleaning
agents
orcleaning
materials
for
conventional
recordsmust
not
beused!
Never write on the disc label; this can cause
irreparable damage to the music tracks.
