System Overview:
Tell me about the New Quick Track Omni.
The Quick Track OMNI system takes tracking to the next
generation with unlimited range capability and an interactive app
designed for your smartphone or tablet.
Key Features and capabilities include your hound’s satellite position
displayed on satellite terrain and street view maps, simple hunter
interface (easy to use), and dead reckoning.
How are you able to get unlimited range?
The Omni collar transmits the hound’s satellite position via two
ways. One is MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service)and the other is
through cell data. When the dog and hunter have cell service the
Omni system will have unlimited range. However if cell service is
unavailable the OMNI system uses MURS data transmissions which
will provide line of sight tracking range.
How can I have maps on my phone if I don’t have cell
service where I hunt?
The Quick Track app allows you to stream maps and also download
maps. Streaming is recommended for getting familiar with the
Omni system before you hunt. While you are at home on WI-FI you
should preload or download the map for the area you plan on
hunting. When you download a map it will download a 100 square
mile map with your specified hunt location being the center of the
map. This will store the map and not require cell service to load the
map while you are hunting. This map will be stored for future
hunts.

3
What is dead reckoning?
Dead reckoning determines your dog’s satellite position by
calculating the direction and distance your dog has traveled when
satellites are obstructed.
Do I have to have a smartphone or tablet?
Yes. A smartphone or tablet is required in order to use the quick
track app which is your interface for tracking your dogs. You must
have an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet which must have
Bluetooth smart or Bluetooth smart ready. If you plan on using a
tablet make sure the tablet has a data plan.
Do I have to have Bluetooth turned on?
Yes Bluetooth must be turned on in order for the system to work.
The receiver and the smartphone or tablet must stay within
Bluetooth range (approximately 15 feet).
Important Notes:
Prior to turning out your hounds make sure the receiver and collar
have acquired satellites. This is indicated by a blinking green light on
the receiver and collar.
Prior to turning out your hounds verify you are getting your hounds
position by viewing the dog’s icon on the map and seeing the icon
pulse and or move.
Prior to a hunt while you are on WI-FI pre-load (download) the map
area location in which you will be hunting in order to prevent map
streaming for best results.
If the receiver becomes disconnected power off the receiver and then
power on the receiver and go to settings or the devices tab and
reconnect.
