SUBFRAMES, HYDRAULIC KITS
Description
Before operating your loader, please read this manual
carefully. Failure to do so may jeopardize its efficient
running and could result in a breakdown.
Separate mounting instructions are supplied with subfra-
mes, valves and hydraulic connections, which are
dependent on the tractor model to be used.
This loader is quick-coupled to subframes, which are
available for a large number of tractor models (and
sizes), from various manufacturers.
A subframe kit (Illus. 1) contains all the parts needed to
attach the loader to the tractor, as well as a grill guard*
(A). The subframe kits are of different types, e.g.
with
or
without*
extensions (B) to the tractor rear axle.
The loader can be connected to the tractor hydraulics by
the aid of an Ergodrive Kit, Illus. 2, which contains a
control valve with MONO Handle Device and the neces-
sary connections, or by the aid of a hose kit, Illus.3, to
be connected to the original valves of the tractor. In
cases where a hose set is fitted, the tractor shall be
equipped with two double acting valves.
The loader can, when required, be equipped with Elec-
trical valves (SELECTO) for further hydraulic connec-
tions.
* Depending on tractor- and loader model.

TOOL CARRIERS
Description
The loader can be equipped with different types of tool
carriers, depending on the implement attachments - see
fig. 10.
All ALÖ implements of type EURO (8) ( standard) will fit
the loader (fig.6).
There are also COMBI tool carriers as option (depending
on the loader model), which, besides EURO (8), also will
fit implements with attachments of other types, like ÅLÖ
(3), SMS(5), FAUCHEUX(14) and others.
However the implement size must be compatible with the
loader and the type of work to be carried out.
With a few exceptions, the implement will be automati-
cally locked (CLICK-ON) when the implement is lifted
and tilted backwards.
A supplementary equipment for hydraulic
implement change is available to most tool carriers.

WARNING !
Incorrect installation of the cables may destroy the built-
in diodes in the connectors of the valve (SELECTO).
Please study the mounting instruction supplied with the
SELECTO-kit.
Lift the front of the tractor and check that its wheels and
mudguards don't interfere with loader and subframe at
max. turning angle and oscillation.
Since the loader has been tested on tractors of a certain
type (see the List of Subframes) as concerns the hydrau-
lics, cabs, wheel size, mudguards etc, this means that
use with tractors other than these may need special
measures to be taken when attachment is made.

CONNECTION / DISCONNECTION
Make sure, when disconnecting imple-
ments, that the bucket rams NOT are in end
position (disconnection under pressure may
cause problems when connecting).
Fig. F
Connection
- Clean the surfaces carefully of loader-and implement
parts.
- Fit the dowels of the implement part into correspond-
ing holes on the loader part (A).
- Make sure that the lever grips the implement part (B)
and move lever backwards until the lever is secured.
- Always when connecting check that the lever is
locked.
Disconnection
- Push button C and move lever forwards.
- Remove the implement part and hitch on to the
implement.
Move the lever to locked position for protection
( IMPORTANT).
SPECIFICATIONS
Dimension of quick couplings: 3/8"
Oil pressure: max. 200 bar (the total pressure on all
couplings (2 or 4).
MAINTENANCE
Always when connecting, clean the surfaces of the
loader - and implement parts carefully.
Oil leakage
The quick couplings may get damaged, either due to
impurities ( not cleaned surfaces before connection) or
due to an exceeding of the max. allowed oil pressure
(200 bar). If this is the case, locate the leaking line and
exchange the damaged coupling - see the spare parts
sheet.
ATTENTION
Faulty use or maintenance of products aimed for high oil
pressures may cause serious damages. It is therefore of
the utmost importance that the instructions are followed
and that damaged or worn out parts are immediately
exchanged.

SOFTDRIVE
(Shock Absorber)
DESCRIPTION
This equipment consists of two or three accumulators,
depending onthe loader model. It reduces the vertical
movement of the loader when driving on bumpy ground.
By the aid of a shut-off valve the function of the accumu-
lators can be disengaged.
MOUNTING
Fig. A
The oil pipes to the lift rams of the loader are prepared
for the connection of the accumulators and the loader
beam is equipped with a bracket for the accumulators
(see the separate instruction).
DRIVER's INSTRUCTIONS
Fig. B
Accumulators engaged - shut-off valve OPEN, handle to
the right (front view).
Accumulators disengaged - handle to the left (CLOSED).
This position is used when carrying out precision work,
such as handling of pallets and excavation work. It is
also used when an implement has to keep an exact
level.
SPECIFICATIONS
The accumulators (two or three), at a volume of 0,5 l
each, are filled with nitrogen gas (N) with a pressure of
20 bar.
(we reserve the right to make modifications in the
design).
WARNING !
Do NOT open the accumulators. The gas pressure may
cause damages.
Before service / maintenance in the hydraulic system of
the loader:
- Open the shut-off valve to the accumulator.
- Turn off the engine and release the oil pressure by the
aid of the control valve (engage the float function).

SOFT DRIVE
Description / Control
Fig.1
When the SOFT DRIVE is engaged and the shut-off
valve open, the gas in accumulator A will be com-
pressed. The accumulators can now be checked by
measuring the movement of the rams under different
strains (static) at two different pressures.
Since the temperature of the oil and the diameter of the
rams affect this movement, below table will serve as
guidance.
Accumulator B will slow down the movement of the
beam in the opposite direction (UPWARDS).
CHECK OF ACCUMULATOR (A)
1) Connect a manometer to the hose from the loader lift
rams (the +side) (BLUE hose) with the shut-off valve
in OPEN position.
2) Oil temperature - about 20° C.
3) The bucket shall be loaded in such a way that a
pressure of 100 bar is achieved.
4) Measure the distance between the cylinder bearing
and the piston rod bearing (X).
5) Reduce (empty) the load to achieve a pressure level
of 50 bar.
6) Measure the distance between the cylinder bearing
and the piston rod bearing (X). NOTE ! do NOT lift /
lower beam between measurements.
7) The movement (min.) of the piston rod shall comply
with the values specified in below table (A).
CONTROL OF ACCUMULATOR B
1) Connect a manometer to the hose from the loader lift
rams (the -side) (GREEN hose).
2) Push the front part of the implement towards the
ground with the bucket ram until a pressure of 100
and 50 bar respectively has been achieved.
3) Measure the movement of the piston rod and com-
pare with the values below (B).
NOTE !
The warranty period for the accumulators is limited to
twelve (12) months. Depending on the extent of use, the
gas will diffuse in course of time. In such cases the
accumulator must be exchanged.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS AND MAINTE-
NANCE
For maximum stability and to avoid skidding, always
carry implement with load as low as possible.
When driving the implement into the material to be
handled, always make sure that the valve is in a neutral
position, otherwise the front of the tractor tends to rear
at the moment of drive-in, which would entail strains on
both loader and tractor. Keep to the following rules:
NEVER drive at full speed into the material. Select a low
gear for the best traction.
COUNTER WEIGHT: For overloading and safety
reasons, always use counter-balance with weights when
carrying heavy materials or implements with large out-
reach.
See safety instructions, page 105.
Do not leave the tractor with the loader in ”lift” position
and do not stand beneath the load.
When changing implements, always check that the
implement is properly locked in position by pressing the
front end of the implement to the ground.
OPERATING
Applies to loaders with separate control valve
(ERGO DRIVE).
For loaders with ELECTRO-hydraulic mono lever remote
control (ELECTRO DRIVE), see the separate instruction
for this equipment !
The control device (MONO-lever) has the following
functions:
Lever Movement:
Backwards - Loader beam is lifted
Forwards - Lowering of loader beam + floating
position*
Left **- The implement is crowded
Right ** - The implement is dumped
*The floating function is engaged when the control
device is brought maximally forwards. The lever should
then stay in this position. By moving the lever in the
reverse direction, the function will be disengaged.
** Concerns right-hand mounted control device. As
regards the left-hand mounted control device, the
reversed lever movement is obtained by shifting the
hydraulic hoses marked yellow-red. See the instruction
supplied with the hydraulic kit.
Safety Locking Device: The control device is equipped
with a safety lock, see fig.1, which, in locking position
(left), prevents involuntary operation.
Selecto (applies to loaders equipped with electric switch
valves)
The lever knob is equipped with two switches acc. to
fig.2.
Function
Control lever in operating position for implement func-
tion.
Push button (A) = Valve (3rd) in function
Push button (C) = Valve (4th) in function
Remark
If hydraulic implement locking is fitted, see the instruc-
tions for this equipment.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS AND MAINTE-
NANCE
LEVEL INDICATOR
The loader is equipped with a level indicator, which gives
the angle of the implement relative to the ground, when,
for example, handling pallets. See "Loader, Mounting".
PARALLELDEVICE
If the loader is lowered or the implement is dumped at
low engine speed, the loader rams may not be totally
recharged, which could lead to the following:
- that the loader beam is lifted if the implement is fully
crowded at ground level.
- that the implement rams get slightly compressed,
which means that you won't have total control of the
implement.
Therefore, make a practice of either increasing the
engine speed when lowering or dumping the implement,
or keeping the control device in operating position until
the implement rams have been recharged (especially
concerning tractors with a low oil flow).
VARIABLE LIFTING HEIGHT
Fig. 2
When an increased lifting capacity is required, move the
lift rams to the lower mounting holes in the bearing box
of the loader (concerns certain loader models).
SCREW UNIONS
Check, after some days’ initial use, that all nuts and bolts
are tightened, especially where the subframes are
secured to the tractor body. After that we recommend
controls at regular intervals in connection with the
maintenance / service of the tractor.
GREASING:
All lubricating points (fig.1) are equipped with greasing
nipples and should be greased at least once a week on
regular use (use lubricating grease, type B.P.
Energrease L.S.-EP2, or equivalent.)
CLEANING
Always keep tractor and loader clean, in particular the
loader rams and valves. When using a high-pressure
water gun, please avoid spraying water directly on valves
and control device.
When disconnecting the loader / the implement, don’t
forget to put dust-caps on the quick-couplings. If you
don't, dirt may get inside the hydraulic system, which will
cause damage and expensive repairs.
OTHER NOTES
Do not forget to check the level of the hydraulic oil and to
change oil and filters regularly as prescribed by the
tractor manufacturer.
Cold and dirty oil will increase the time for the lift- and
implement movements of the loader.
This manual suits for next models
