van dit product. Omdat Plugwise de producent

De beschikbare functionaliteiten binnen jouw
Home Automation-systeem zijn afhankelijk van
de ZigBee-gateway waarop de zonebediening is
aangemeld.

Oude elektrische en elektronische apparaten
bevatten vaak waardevolle materialen. Plaats
een afgedankt apparaat dan ook nooit bij het
gewone afval. Lever altijd het apparaat in bij een
gemeentelijk inzameldepot voor elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur.

Vooraf
Dit is de installatiehandleiding voor Qupit
zonebediening “Lisa”. De zonebediening meet
de ruimtetemperatuur en kan de gewenste
temperatuur doorgeven aan andere ZigBee
Home Automation producten, zoals een
gateway, of radiatorkraan.
De zonebediening kun je installeren binnen
jouw bestaande ZigBee-netwerk. De
zonebediening communiceert volgens de
ZigBee-standaard “Home Automation 1.2”.
Controleer vooraf hoe je de zonebediening
moet toevoegen aan jouw systeem. Gebruik
hiervoor de handleiding van het systeem
waarop je de zonebediening wilt aanmelden.

systeem, welke stroomvoorziening je wilt
gebruiken. Afhankelijk hiervan worden de
juiste instellingen ten aanzien van het
netwerkverkeer en stroomverbruik
gekozen.
Wil je later wisselen?
Verwijder de zonebediening uit het netwerk en
meld deze vervolgens opnieuw aan in het
netwerk, voorzien van de juiste voeding.
Gebruik de zonebediening nooit met
batterijen en een USB-adapter tegelijk!

Het netwerk
Qupit zonebediening kan zowel met batterijen
als met een USB-adapter goed overweg.
Afhankelijk van deze keuze zal de zonebediening
tijdens het aanmelden op een nieuw netwerk
automatisch het gedrag aanpassen.
Als je de zonebediening installeert met de
USB-adapter heeft zij altijd stroom. De
zonebediening gedraagt zich als een
“ZigBee-router” (ZR). Die is nu altijd bereikbaar
voor andere ZigBee-modules. Bovendien
vergroot de zonebediening de kwaliteit van het
ZigBee-netwerk.
Wil je de zonebediening liever met batterijen
installeren? Dat kan ook. De zonebediening zal
dan in een energiebesparende “slaapstand”
worden ingesteld, zodat er minder stroom wordt
gebruikt. Zij gedraagt zich als een “Sleepy-end-
device” (SED).

Sluit de voeding aan
Kies of je Qupit zonebediening wilt gebruiken
met een USB-adapter of met batterijen.
Kies je voor batterijen? Dan zal de
zonebediening werken als een “end-device”
(SED) binnen het ZigBee-netwerk.
Kies je voor een USB-adapter? Dan zal de
zonebediening werken als een “router” (ZR)
binnen het netwerk.
Batterijen?
Haal de achterkant van de zonebediening
om de batterijen te plaatsen: houd de
zonebediening vast en druk in de
onderkant van de opening zoals
aangegeven is in de afbeelding.
Plaats de batterijen zoals is aangegeven in
de batterijhouder van de zonebediening.
Plaats de achterkant terug op de
zonebediening.
USB-adapter?Aanmelden
Plaats de adapterkabel in de zonebediening
zoals is afgebeeld in de afbeelding.
Hiervoor hoeft de achterkant van de
zonebediening niet verwijderd te worden.
Sluit de USB-adapter aan op de
adapterkabel en steek de stekker in het
stopcontact.
Voeg toe aan het ZigBee-netwerk
Gebruik voor de juiste procedure de handleiding
van het systeem waaraan je Qupit
zonebediening wilt toevoegen.
Onder de achterkant van de zonebediening vind
je een drukknop. Druk kort op de knop, zodat de
zonebediening zichtbaar wordt voor de
ZigBee-gateway. Indien de zonebediening nog
niet op een ander netwerk is aangemeld, zal deze
nu aanmelden op een beschikbaar netwerk.

Plaatsen
Plaats Qupit zonebediening.
Plaats Qupit zonebediening in de ruimte waar jij
het wilt. Gebruik de meegeleverde standaard
om de zonebediening in de kamer neer te
zetten.
Plaats de standaard op de zonebediening
zoals is aangegeven in de afbeelding.
Kies voor de zonebediening altijd een plek
in de kamer uit waar de lokale temperatuur
representatief is voor de
gevoelstemperatuur, net zoals je dat voor
een normale thermostaat doet. Geschikte
locaties zijn: op of bij een binnenmuur, niet
in direct zonlicht en nooit boven of naast
een radiator of andere warmtebron.
Wil je de zonebediening liever aan de muur
hangen? Gebruik dan het muurplaatje.
Schroef het muurplaatje aan de muur.
Schuif de zonebediening van bovenaf in de
standaard.
Wil je de zonebediening gebruiken in combinatie
met de USB-adapter? Dit is alleen mogelijk als je
de zonebediening plaatst op de standaard om de
zonebediening in de kamer neer te zetten.

Bediening
Qupit zonebediening heeft op de voorkant drie
knoppen om de ingestelde temperatuur en
presets te wijzigen.
Met de linker- en rechterknop stel je per 0,5°C
de temperatuur lager of hoger in. Met de knop
boven het scherm in het midden wissel je van
preset.
De drukknop op de achterkant kun je gebruiken
voor meerdere functionaliteiten. De LED boven
de knop geeft je terugkoppeling. Achterin de
handleiding vind je het gedrag van de LED terug.
Het lampje knippert elke seconde dat je de knop
ingedrukt houdt rood. Zo kun je eenvoudig de
seconden meetellen.

Verwijder de zonebediening uit het
netwerk
Druk de knop op de achterkant 3
seconden in en laat los.
Druk binnen 1 seconde opnieuw de knop
3 seconden in en laat los.
Druk binnen 1 seconde de knop 10
seconden in en laat los.
Nadat je de knop hebt losgelaten, brandt de
LED 5 seconden: de zonebediening verlaat nu
het netwerk.
Knopcombinatie niet herkent
Als de zonebediening de combinatie dat wordt
ingedrukt met de knop niet herkent, zal de LED
0,5 seconde kort aan gaan.

Scherm
Het scherm van de zonebediening bestaat uit
een LCD-segmentdisplay, zodat de
stroomopname verwaarloosbaar is. Dit zorgt
ervoor dat het scherm altijd aan kan staan.
Op het scherm zie je boven de lijn de gemeten
temperatuur (groot) samen met een klein
thermometer-icoon. Onder de lijn zie je de
ingestelde temperatuur (klein). Als je de
temperatuur wijzigt verandert het getal boven
de lijn tijdelijk naar de ingestelde temperatuur,
het thermometer-icoon verdwijnt. Afhankelijk
van de situatie worden een of meerdere
icoontjes getoond.

de status LED
Aan de achterkant boven de drukknop zit de
status LED.
Batterijen vs. USB-adapter
Als de zonebediening is gecongureerd met
batterijen gedraagt zij zich als een “end-device”.
Het LED-gedrag waarbij de LED continu brandt
zal in het geval van een end-device elke seconde
knipperen.

Groen ZR: 5 seconden Het is gelukt om de zonebediening toe te
voegen aan het netwerk of de zonebediening is
al aan het netwerk toegevoegd.
SED: 5x snel knipperen
(aan: 1 seconde/ seconde)
Groen Knippert langzaam De zonebediening probeert zich aan te melden
op het netwerk.
Rood 5 seconden Het is mislukt om aan te melden op het
netwerk, of de netwerkinstellingen zijn gewist.
Rood Snel knipperen (3 seconden) De batterij is bijna leeg.
Rood 1 Keer knipperen (0,5 seconde) De zonebediening begrijpt niet het patroon dat
wordt ingedrukt op de knop.

Preface
This is the installation manual for Qupit zone
control “Lisa”. The zone control measures the
room temperature and can communicate the
desired temperature to other Zigbee Home
Automation products, such as a gateway, or
radiator valve.
The zone control can be added to your existing
Zigbee network. The zone control
communicates via the ZigBee standard “Home
Automation 1.2”.
Before network conguration, decide how you
wish to add the zone control to your system.
Please consult the manual of the system you
want to connect the zone control to, in order to
nd the right procedure.

time!

The network
Qupit zone control can operate based on
batteries as well as using an USB adapter.
Depending the mode of operation, the zone
control will automatically adapt its behavior
when joining a new network.
If you install the zone control with an USB
adapter, the zone control will behave like a
“ZigBee router” (ZR). As such the zone control
has the advantage that it is always reachable for
other ZigBee modules. In addition, the zone
control will improve the mesh quality of the
ZigBee network.
Do you want to install the zone control with
batteries? That is also possible. The zone control
then operates in a power saving “sleep” mode,
allowing longer battery life. She will behave like
a “Sleepy end device” (SED).

Powering up
Please decide if you want to power up
Qupit zone control using an USB adapter or
batteries. Do you prefer to use batteries? The
zone control will behave like an “End Device”
(SED) in the ZigBee network.
Do you prefer to use an USB adapter?
The zone control will behave like a “Router” (ZR)
in the network.
Using batteries?
Remove the back cover of the zone
control to place the batteries: hold the
zone control and remove the back cover
by pulling at the bottom of the opening as
shown in the image.
Make sure the batteries are placed as
indicated in the battery compartment of
the zone control.
Place the back cover on the zone control.
Using the USB adapter?Pairing setup
Place the adapter cable into the zone
control as shown in the image. The back
cover does not need to be removed.
Connect the adapter cable to the USB
adapter and plug the adapter into the wall
socket.
Add to the ZigBee network
Please consult your home automation system’s
manual to connect it with Qupit zone control.
The zone control contains a push button
underneath the back cover. Press the button
briey allowing the zone control to be visible for
the gateway. When the zone control is not
paired, it will try to join an available network
after pressing this button.

Installation
Place Qupit zone control
You can place Qupit zone control in the room
wherever you want. Use the supplied desk
stand to place the zone control in the room.
Place the desk stand in the opening on
the back cover as shown in the image.
It is recommended to always place the
zone control in a location where the local
temperature matches the apparent
temperature, just like you would do for a
normal thermostat. Suitable locations are:
on or near an indoor wall, out of direct
sunlight and never on or next to a radiator
or other heating source.
Do you prefer to place the zone control on the
wall? Use the wall mount.
Screw the wall mount on the wall.
Slide the zone control from above on the
wall mount.
Do you prefer to use the zone control with the
USB adapter? This is only possible when using
the supplied desk stand to place the zone
control in the room.

Controls
Qupit zone control has three buttons on the
front to change the setpoint temperature and
the active preset.
With the left- and right button you can decrease
or increase the setpoint temperature in steps of
0,5°C. With the button in the middle on top of
the screen you can switch presets.
The push button on the backside can be used
for multiple actions. The LED above the push
button shows the feedback.
An overview of the different LED behaviors is
provided at the end of this manual.
The LED will ash red every second while the
button is pressed. This helps you counting the
seconds.

Remove the zone control from the
network
Press and hold the button on the backside
for 3 seconds and release.
Within 1 second, press and hold the
button for 3 seconds again and release.
Within 1 second, press and hold the
button for 10 seconds and release.
After you have released the button, the LED will
burn solid red for 5 seconds: the zone control
has left the network.
Button sequence not recognized
When the zone control does not understand the
button pattern, the LED will ash red for 0,5
seconds.

Display
The LCD segment display of the zone control
has a very low power usage.
This allows for the screen to always remain on.
The screen shows you the measured
temperature above the line (big), together with a
small thermometer icon. The setpoint
temperature is shown below the line (small).
When changing the setpoint temperature, the
set temperature will temporarily be shown
above the line, and the thermometer icon will be
hidden. Depending on the situation one or more
of the following icons will be shown.
1. Battery is almost empty
2. No connection
3. Measured temperature
4. The shown value is the measured
temperature
5. Set point temperature
6. Presets: home, night, away, vacation and
frost protection

The LED is located on the backside above the
pushbutton.
Batteries vs. USB adapter
If the zone control is congured with batteries it
behaves like an “end device”.
The LED indications described as “solid” will
now blink shortly every second.

Green ZR: 5 seconds The zone control has successfully joined the
network or has already joined the network.
SED: 5x quickly blinking
(on: 1 second/second)
Green Slowly blinking The zone control is joining a network (in
progress).
Red 5 seconds Joining the network has failed or the
network settings have been erased.
Red Quickly blinking (3 seconds) The battery is almost empty.
Red 1 Blink (0,5 second) The zone control does not understand the
pattern that has been pressed.
