IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

WARNING –TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
1. Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use.
2. Always unplug or disconnect the fan from the power supply before servicing.
3. Connect to a properly grounded outlet only.
4. Do not expose to water or rain – store indoors.
5. Do not immerse the fan in water.
6. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
7. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
8. Do not operate any fan with damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to manufacturer for examination and/or
repair. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water,
contact manufacturer for assistance.
9. Do Not: pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord or pull cord around sharp edges or
corners.
10. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
11. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug; not the cord.
12. Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
13. Do not insert your hand or other objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust,
lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
14. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
15. Turn off all controls before unplugging. Wait for fan to stop before moving, storing and/or changing operating
locations.
16. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.
17. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over. Do not route supply cord under
furniture or appliances.
18. Operation of this unit can result in foreign objects being blown into eyes, which can result in eye damage.
Always wear safety goggles when operating fan.
19. When necessary, only operate fan with a 12 AWG or greater extension cord not exceeding 50 feet in length
provide with an attached plug rated 250V, 20 amp minimum.
20. Never use fan without safety grills attached.
21. Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device. (The RE 5 Fan already contains its own Solid-
State Drive and Controls)
22. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If
the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions
(follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-
circuit may be present and the product should be disregarded or returned to an authorized service facility for
examination and/or repair.
23. Always unplug this product before installing or replacing fuses.
