The DISQ is a high-quality, durable product made specifically for mobile
fitness purposes. These precautions ensure that you get the most out of your
DISQ without causing harm to yourself or to others.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
• THIS IS NOT A TOY
• FOR ADULT USE ONLY
• KEEP OUT OF REACH
OF CHILDREN
All DISQ users must read and understand
this instruction manual before operating
DISQ. DISQ is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of DISQ by a
person responsible for their safety. Persons
responsible for others’ safety should give
explicit instructions or closely supervise the
use of DISQ.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
- Before beginning this or any exercise
program, please consult a doctor or health
professional.
- If you have an injury, illness or disability or
if you are pre- or post-natal, it’s especially
important to consult with a health
professional to confirm that DISQ and its’
programs are suitable for you.
YOUR WELL BEING
- Always stay well hydrated before and
after all exercise sessions.
- When disqing, wear comfortable clothes
but nothing too loose or flowing that
could risk getting caught in the cords.
- Find a flat safe area in which to workout;
avoid exercising on slippery surfaces, near
children, heaters, steps, stairs or sharp
objects.
DISQ_USER_GUIDE_ML.indd 6 04-09-13 17:07

ENGLISH 7
- Keep a normal breathing pattern when
exercising; never hold your breath.
- If any exercises or use of this product
causes pain, please STOP immediately
to prevent serious injury.
THE DISQ
- As fun as DISQ workouts are, your DISQ
is not a toy! Please keep it out of reach
from children.
- When disqing, check that there is
sufficient room around you to stretch
out the DISQ cords without getting in
the way of anything or anyone around
you.
- DISQ must only be worn by one person
at a time.
- Do not let other people pull on
the cords while you are wearing your
DISQ belt.
- When not in use, your DISQ must be
stored out of reach and not accessible
by children.
THE DISQ CORD
- The DISQ cord is intended to carry the DISQ
resistance and repetitions.
It shouldn’t be wrapped around anything or
anyone.
- Though the cord is extremely durable, it will
wear down and risk snapping if wrapped
around sharp edges.
- When you are exercising, do not let the cord
touch your bare skin.
- Cutting the cord will void your warranty.
THE DISQ & WATER
- Though the DISQ is weather resistant, please
do not submerge it completely under water.
- The DISQ is not machine-washable, but you
can hand wash the belt, taking care not to
get the DISQs wet.
USING THE DISQ
- Consistently working out with the DISQ set
to the maximum resistance level accelerates
the normal wearing process.

1. DISQS
The patented DISQs sit on your hips and add
resistance to your exercises.
2. RESISTANCE DIAL
The DISQ has varying levels of resistance,
controlled by the dial. Move the dial forward
for higher resistance, move it back for lower
resistance.
3. CORD
Made of Dyneema® fiber, the same material
used in sailing lines, the cord is built to
withstand a minimum of 100,000 repetitions.
4. BELT
The adjustable belt is made of high-tech,
knitted fabric designed for comfort and
moisture-resistance.
5. CLIPS
Open the clips to slide the DISQs backwards or
forwards on the belt until they’re sitting on or
just behind your hipbones.
6. BUCKLE
Loosen or tighten the straps at the buckle until
the belt sits low and tight on your hips.
7. HANDLES
Use the handles to pull the cord from the
DISQ.
8. PULLEY
The pulley is used to hold the cord in place.
9. SPRING
The spring is designed for ultimate flexibility
and holds the cord in place to allow for a
complete 360° rotation.
10.HEEL STRAP
The heel strap should hook under your heel
with the DISQ pulley on the outside of your
ankle.
11.ANKLE STRAPS
Insert each velcro strap into the corresponding

2. Using the buckle 6, clip the

When you turn the resistance

increases on the cord 3.

LET’S DISQ
Once your belt and ankle straps are on, you are almost ready to workout!
1. For an optimal workout, start by finding
your level of resistance.
2. To find your level, turn the dials 2all the
way forward.
3. Now turn them backwards until you’ve
found a comfortable level in which to train.
4. Make sure the resistance levels match by
pulling on both cords.
5. Check that you have sufficient room
around yourself to stretch out the cords
and do jumps or lunges.
6. For basic lower body movements, leave
the handle 7down below by the ankle
strap 11. Secure the handle using using the
straps, as seen in the picture above. Please
don’t leave the handle hanging where it
could interfere with your movements.
7. For more intense lower body movements,
bring the handles up and wrap them
around the DISQs, like the picture above.
Be sure to wrap them around, but then pull
down firmly to make sure they are secure.
8. You’re ready to go!

Where should you Disq? The short answer is: ANYWHERE!
But before you use your DISQ inside or outside, make sure you
have enough space to lunge, jump and stretch your arms out.
Look for a flat area and make sure you
are not near steps, stairs, heaters, sharp
objects or slippery surfaces. As long as
the space is safe, go disq in a city park,
backyard, front porch, parking lot, gym,
beach, hotel room, office…find whatever
space works into your daily life.
We’ve trained everywhere from
Red Rock Canyon in Nevada to
the London Bridge and are always
looking for new disqing spaces, so
share your ideas and photos on our
Facebook page and Tweet us

CHOOSING A PLACE TO DISQ
ENGLISH 17
DISQ_USER_GUIDE_ML.indd 17 04-09-13 17:08

The belt is moving while I work out.
Make sure that your belt is tight and low on
your hips, and if you are running for longer
distances, slide the DISQs towards the back.
The handle slips off when its
wrapped around the DISQ.
When you put the handle around the DISQ,
make sure it’s wrapped completely around.
Then pull the handle downwards firmly for
extra security.
The ankle straps are irritating.
Make sure you are using the shoelace holes,
they hold the straps in place, especially for
some of the high impact movements. If you
still feel pressure, wear high socks under the
ankle straps.
Also make sure you don’t have long, loose
pants getting in the way of the ankle straps
and the cord.
TROUBLESHOOTING
ENGLISH 18
DISQ_USER_GUIDE_ML.indd 18 04-09-13 17:08

I’m having trouble wrapping the
cord through the pulley.
First, make sure that the orange cap is
facing outwards. Also pull the cord out far
enough so that you are wrapping the thin
part of the cord, not the part closest to
the handle. The cord should attach right
under the orange cap. Please refer to the
explanations on page 13 for more help.
The cord is rubbing against my
skin.
For some of the moves, e.g. the triceps
extensions, the cord will be close to your
skin. Adjust the movement or cover the
bare skin with clothing so that the cord
doesn’t rub.
How do I clean my DISQ?
DISQ is NOT machine-washable, but you
can hand wash the DISQ belt, taking care
not to get the DISQs wet.
