4 Troubleshooting
•Abrasive power decreases:
−Replace blunt or damaged grinding discs
−Clean dirty grinding discs (e.g. with a steam cleaner)
−Sharpen blunt grinding discs by using a whetstone (available from REITEL).
−Investments and modern grade 4 plaster decrease life of the grinding discs
−Check water purification, rinsing port might be blocked, too little water
•Device is leaking:
−Check correct fitting of the front cover (1)
−Clean the sealing behind the front, if necessary grease the sealing with vaseline
•Machine doesn’t work:
−Check power supply and mains fuse
−Check safety switch by opening and closing the front
•Grinding disc doesn’t rotate: Machine is leaking:
−In case of blocking turn off main switch and press system’s fuse after 5 minutes
−Central nut is not tight or doesn’t tense the disc (grinding disc too thin – external brand)
•Problems with water drain:
−The drain hose should be slightly inclining on its way to the settling basin
−Drain hose is blocked
•Odour nuisance during operation:
−When re-starting the device wait until the grinding disc has completely stopped
−If the device is turned on and off too often brake smell will arise
•Grinding vibrations:

6
−First smoothen support by grinding
−Check disc concentricity – axial eccentricity
•Device moves on the support:
−Disc runs unbalanced
−Distance sheets are dirty
If the problem cannot be solved pls. inform your dealer or REITEL – customer service.
