Operating Instructions
Introduction
Conexum Smart URC-11 is an easy-to-use universal remote controller that
allows up to 4 devices to be controlled using a single remote. It comes with an
accompanying mobile app for simple user setup using IR codes stored in the
cloud library. By using a smart phone or tablet PC installed with iOS/Android,
the user can easily setup the devices. The cloud base IR code library supports
almosteverypopularbrandfoundintoday’smarketandiscontinuouslyupdated
so that it is never outdated. The user can setup the Conexum Smart URC-11 in
afewsimplesteps,guidedbytheuser-friendlymobileappinterfaceonthesmart
phone or tablet PC.

Mobile App
Once you have downloaded the Conexum mobile app from the app store, you
can start to setup and pair it with the Conexum remote controller. Launch the
app and you will be presented with the End User Software License Agreement,
please press “ACCEPT” to proceed to pairing the remote controller. You will be
prompted to enable the location service or GPS (for Android smartphone only).
This helps to selectthe correct region for setting up the remote controller
Pairing the Remote Controller
Pairing the remote controller requires both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to be turned
on. Insert 2 AAA batteries to battery compartment and place the remote near
the smart phone handset. Please hold the “OK” button on the remote controller
until you hear the “beep”sound to begin the process and then press “START
PAIRING” on the app.

Each Conexum remote controller has a unique id (e.g. Conexum_FFFF0) and
the app willscan for this remote controller and indicate it to you.
If the app fails to find the remote controller, the following screen will be shown.
You can hold down the “OK” + “HOME” key at the same time on the remote
controller to reinitialize the pairingprocess, wait for a BEEP sound and now you
can press the “SCAN DEVICE” again on the app.
*Please ensure the remote controller has battery inside and is placed nearby

Adding a New Device
Ifthepairingissuccessful,youwillbeabletosetupandaddupto4newdevices
and start downloading the relevant infrared codes required to operate them for
this remote controller.
Press “Add new device”and you will be prompted to setup the 4 devices. There
are 4 devices location (e.g. TV, STB, STRM, AUD) on the remote controller. To
setup a specific location, choose TV,STB, STRM or AUD.

Once you have confirmed setting up on the “TV” location, you can choose from
our comprehensive cloud-based Infrared code library and select device. Your
smartphone or tablet PC must be connected tothe Internet.
Select “TV” and press “NEXT” as an example and then you will need to select
the device brand.
Select the brand of the TV that you are going to setup.

Once selected, the mobile apps’ built-in Smart Search feature will find the
infrared code for your device. The app will make an attempt to connect to the
remote controller via BLE.
Youwill need topoint yourremote controller to the deviceto testout a few keys.

Testing the power button
Pleasepress the“Power”buttonon the app.If theTV turnsON/OFF,thenpress
“YES”, otherwise press “NO” or “SKIP”.
*If the TV is nowturned off, you may need to turn it onwith your original remote
or manually for the next step.
You will now be presented different screens of test codes, please follow the
instructions(e.g.MUTE,VOLUP,VOLDOWN)andpress“YES”,“NO”or“SKIP”.
Through the process of elimination, the Smart Search feature will find more
relevant infrared codes for setting up your AV device.
*The subsequentscreens are dynamicallygenerated based on yourspecific AV
device brand and model. As a result, no other screenshots are prepared for this
user manual.
Once you complete these code testing steps,please press “OK” and the mobile
appwilldownloadtheinfraredcodes fromour cloud-basedinfraredcode library.

Downloading infrared codes
The mobile app will now download the infrared codes to the remote controller.
*If you have a second TV, you could also use the otherdevicebutton(e.g. STB)
for setting up the second TV. In total, there are 4 device location available for
you to setup. You can also edit or delete any of these device location and setup
again for anotherAV device as you desire.
You can also name this device on the mobile app as shown below.

Congratulations
The remote controller’s firstdevice location TV, which is now named as Living
room TV, is now considered setup and you can use the remote to control it.
*You can repeat the process to add up to 4 new devices

Extender Mode
The Extender Mode gives you the additional function of controlling your
devices through the smartphone and the Conexum app For assessing the full
functions of the Extender Mode,you have to purchase with an in-app purchase
inside the Conexum app.
Press any device name on the main-screen (e.g. Living room TV) to be
redirected to make the in-app purchase of the Extender Mode. You can also
“Try it for free”by pressing this button and use the Power key for your devices
already set up.

After the paymenthas been successfully completed, you will be able to access
full features of the Extender Mode through clicking on any device which you
wish to operate.
Find my remote
If you happen to misplace the Conexum remote, you canpress the bell icon in
your Conexum app to make the remote buzz and emit a “beep beep” sound.
Once you find the remote, you can press the OK button to stop the sound.

Maintenance
1. Do not expose your unit to dust, strong sunlight, humidity, high temperatures
or mechanical shocks.
2. Use new batteries of the recommended type and size only.
3. Do not use old and new batteries together as old batteries tend to leak.
4. To avoid chemical leaks, remove batteries from the unit if you do not intend
to use the unit foran extended period of time.
5. Do not use corrosiveor abrasive cleansers on your unit.
6. Use a wet water cloth to clean the soft plastic surface, do not use any
detergent or cleaning agent.
7. Keep the unit dustfree by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
8. Do not disassemble the unit, it contains no user-serviceable parts.

from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a

savings, data, loss of benefits,claims by third parties and any property

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of this product only, if the
purchase date cannot be substantiated, the warranty period will begin on the
