ABOUT
INDUCTION
• What’s dierent? e source of “heat” is magnetic induction that causes the utensil to
heat-up directly, rather than the cooking surface.
• Because magnetic induction causes the utensil to become the heat source, it does not
heat the air around the utensil the way conventional heat sources do, so your kitchen
stays cooler.
• Heats much faster and more eciently than a standard electric coil. e Rena Ware
Induction Cooker can boil water twice as fast as a conventional electric coil of the
same power, thereby using half the electricity.
• Excellent control: power levels adjust easily and quickly. you have the controllability
of gas with the energy eciency of induction.
• Light-weight and portable, it easily goes from the kitchen to the dining room; great
for entertaining!.
• Your Rena Ware Induction Cooker works by generating a magnetic eld. When
an induction compatible cooking utensil is placed in this magnetic eld, the eld
transfers its energy into the utensil causing it to heat. By raising or lowering the
strength of the magnetic eld, you control the heat generated by the utensil.
• When you use Rena Ware cookware with your Induction Cooker, you can experience

IMPORTANT USAGE
GUIDELINES
• Failure to follow the handling and operating instructions in the use and care manual
will void the warranty.
• Dropping or handling the Induction Cooker roughly will damage the electrical
components and the ceramic plate. Handle with care.
• Do not place or store heavy objects (8 kg/18 lb) on the ceramic glass plate.
• Be sure to avoid exposing the Induction Cooker to excessive moisture; never immerse
it in water, overll utensils, or pour liquids onto it. Clean up spills immediately and
allow the Induction Cooker to dry completely before using.
• Do not use outside in a wet environment.
• Do not block the cool air intake on the underside of the Induction Cooker or the warm
air exhaust at the back. Allow at least 10 cm (4”) clearance for proper ventilation. e
screens covering the intake and exhaust areas should be cleaned frequently to prevent
the build-up of dirt or grease which can cause the Induction Cooker to overheat.
• Plug the electrical cord into a wall outlet. Do not plug anything else into the same
outlet. Use of a surge protector is recommended because power uctuations can
damage the Induction Cooker.
• Do not press buttons using sharp objects or ngernails.
• Never leave an empty utensil unattended. Overheating and damage may occur.
• e Induction Cooker will beep several times and turn o automatically if the power
is turned on when there is no utensil on it, if a utensil is used that is unsuitable for
induction cooking, or if a smaller utensil is not properly centered.
• If you remove the utensil from the Induction Cooker for more than a few seconds, the
Induction Cooker will beep several times and turn o automatically.
• Aer turning o the Induction Cooker, the internal cooling fan may continue to run
for several moments before automatically shutting down.
• Do not touch the ceramic glass plate immediately aer cooking as it may be hot from
residual heat from the utensil. e unit will display an “H” when the ceramic glass is
too hot to touch.
Before cooking with your Induction Cooker, read all operating Instructions, and then
take a few minutes to practice using the settings. You can start by boiling some water in
a covered utensil. Try adjusting the power levels, as well as using the warming and timed
cooking functions.
OPERATING YOUR
INDUCTION COOKER
1. Place the Induction Cooker on a at, even surface, allowing at least 10 cm (4”)
clearance for proper ventilation, and plug it into a wall outlet. e Induction
Cooker will beep once to indicate it is in standby mode.
2. Center a cooking utensil on the ceramic glass plate. Note: An improperly
centered utensil can cause excessive power load on the internal components.
3. Press the ON/OFF button once. e Induction Cooker will beep and the
“Level” and “Warm” lights in the LED display will ash for 10 seconds to cue
you to select the power level.
4. While the lights are still ashing, press the LEVEL selector button. e
Induction Cooker will automatically start on Level 8. Press the UP (+) button
or the DOWN (-) button to adjust the power level. Your selected power level
will show in the LED display.
5. To turn o the Induction Cooker, press the ON/OFF button again and the
power level light in the display will go out to indicate the Induction Cooker is
o. If the surface temperature of the ceramic glass plate is above 50°C (122°F),
the LED display will show “H”.
1. For most preheating, you should use a medium- high power level (8-9).
2. Preheating will occur quickly so be sure to watch the utensil carefully.
3. e utensil will be preheated properly when a few water droplets “dance” when
dropped into the utensil.
4. Lower the power level if water droplets dry up immediately.

e timer automatically turns the Induction Cooker o aer a selected amount of time,
up to 180 minutes (3.0 hours).
1. Turn the Induction Cooker on, select a power level, and press the TIMER button.
e Induction Cooker will beep and the Timer light in the LED display will ash
for 5 seconds.
2. While the Timer light is still ashing, select the amount of time using the UP (+)
and DOWN (-) buttons. Push the button once to adjust the time in one-minute
intervals. Hold down the buttons to adjust the time in 10-minute increments.
3. e Induction Cooker will stay on at the selected power level for the number of
minutes you select and then turn itself o automatically.
• To switch from cooking to warming, press the the WARM button.
• e power level that will be maintained will largely depend on the size and
construction of the utensil, as well as the volume and moisture content of the food.
• ere are many variables that can aect the power level, so food should not be
le unattended unless it will not reach a boiling temperature. If the power level is
too high, the moisture will be lost, food will burn, and the Induction Cooker will
overheat.
• For utensils with especially thick bases, you may need to use a higher power level
for preheating, cooking, or warming.
• For quicker results when boiling water, always cover the utensil.
• For best results when fat-free frying, sautéing, stir-frying, cooking eggs, or
browning meats, etc., always preheat the utensil.

COOKING THE

Rena Ware’s healthy cooking system lets you prepare delicious meals while retaining
important nutrients in foods, oen lost using other cooking methods.
Our “water-less” cooking method locks moisture in the utensil so foods cook in
their natural juices. Foods taste better, look better, and are better for you and your
family. We recommend using Rena Ware utensils with your Induction Cooker for
the best “water-less” cooking results.
NOTE: Do not attempt to cook the “water-less” way using anything other than Rena
Ware utensils.
• Use the correct sized utensil and ll it 2/3 full for best results.
• To save vitamins and minerals, don’t peel fruits and vegetables. Just lightly
scrub and rinse, cut into pieces if desired, and then place in the utensil.
• Rinse food in the utensil using cold water and drain until water is clear, leaving
1 to 4 tablespoons of water in the utensil. Use more water for denser foods.
• Start on a medium- high (8-9) power level.
• Cover and cook with vent open until the Nutri ✓ Sensor whistles indicating that
a water seal has formed.
• Aer a water seal forms, close the vent and reduce the power level to warm. A
semi- vacuum will form locking avor and nutrients in foods.
1. Preheat on a medium- high power level (8-9) until a little water sprinkled in
utensil “dances”.
2. Add meat and lower the power level to a medium level (5-7).
3. Meat will stick at rst, but will release easily once seared.
“Water-less” Cooking Basics

When using Rena Ware “water-less” cookware with your Induction Cooker, you will
nd that a water seal forms much quicker. Once a “water-seal” forms, you can use the
following chart to estimate the remaining cooking time for many types of food.
In general, cooking “water-less” with Rena Ware utensils and your Rena Ware Induction
Cooker will reduce cooking times while lowering your energy bills. Use the Induction
Cooker’s timer and the following table for convenient timer cooking. Always check your
food occasionally during cooking to avoid overcooking.
1. Add rice and water to a utensil (refer to rice package for amounts). Add butter if
desired.
2. Cover the utensil with the vent open, and select a medium power level (5-7).
3. When the whistle sounds, close the vent, and reduce the power level to warm.
4. Continue cooking for 15 to 25 minutes (refer to the Cooking Times Chart).
5. When done, stir lightly. Rice is done when no hard particle remains aer rubbing a
grain between your thumb and nger.

CARE AND
MAINTENANCE
• Prior to cleaning, allow the ceramic glass plate to cool completely and
unplug the Induction Cooker. Wipe o with a moist cloth or sponge and
mild liquid detergent.
• Check the air intake and exhaust vents periodically to ensure that they
have not become clogged, which will reduce airow and cause overheating.
• Always unplug the Induction Cooker when not in use.
• Store horizontally or vertically to save space.
• To avoid scratches and protect the nish of your Induction Cooker, wrap it
with a so cloth prior to storing.

TROUBLESHOOTING
• e plug may be loose in the outlet.
• e ON/OFF button may not have been fully depressed.
• Check your home’s circuit fuse or breaker switch to see it is operating properly.
• You may be using a utensil unsuitable for induction cooking (non-magnetic).
• e utensil may not be centered properly on the ceramic glass plate.
• e ceramic glass plate may be cracked (contact your Independent Representative or
Local Customer Service Center).
• High surface temperature caused it to turn o automatically.
• e cool air intake or warm air exhaust may be blocked.
• e Induction Cooker became unplugged during cooking.
• Check your home’s circuit fuse or breaker switch to see it is operating properly.
• e power level lights will not operate when the Induction Cooker is set to the warm
level. Press the LEVEL Selector button to change from warming to cooking mode.
• ere are a number of pre-programmed error codes that you may see in the LED display.
e error codes “E05” and “E08” are overheating warnings. If you see either of these codes,
turn the Induction Cooker o for 5 minutes, then turn it back on. If the problem persists,
or you see any other error code, contact your Rena Ware Independent Representative or
Local Customer Service Center.
• For service, please contact your Rena Ware representative or Local Customer Service
Center. Never attempt to repair or disassemble the Induction Cooker by yourself.
e power indicator light does not go on aer pressing the ON/OFF button.
e power indicator light starts ashing aer pressing the ON/OFF button.
