Guidelines for Using Extension Cords

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR HAMMER DRILLS

 Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an
operation



 Always use safety glasses or goggles.


 Wear ear/hearing protectors 

 Hold the tool firmly 

 Always be sure you have firm footing

 Do not hold the tool or place your hands near the rotating chuck or
drill bit.
 Always check that the material being drilled is secure and clamped
in place

 Never hold the work piece in your hand, lap or against other parts of
the body

 Always position the cord away from the rotating bit and DO NOT
wrap the cord around your arm or wrist

 When using the drill, DO NOT position yourself between the tool and
a wall or post

 If the bit jams or binds in the work,



 Do not use dull or damaged bits and accessories.

 Do not use bits larger then those recommended


 When removing the drill bit from the tool avoid contact with skin


Wear cushioned gloves and take frequent rest breaks. 

Use only percussion-type carbide tipped bits for hammer drilling 

Check the tool and remove any chuck keys or adjusting wrenches
before switching the tool “ON”. 


OPERATION
WARNING: Always check that the power supply corresponds to the
voltage on the rating name plate.
WARNING: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and
unplugged before adjusting, adding accessories, or checking a function on
the tool.

counter-clockwise direction. Failure to comply with this caution may cause

Mode Selector Switch

(NOTE: To engage the hammering mechanism, apply and maintain pressure on the bit. When
pressure on the bit is released, the hammering action will stop and the rotation will continue
until the tool is switched off.)


WARNING: Do not change the operating mode until the tool has come to
a complete stop. Moving the “mode selector” switch while the drill is operating
can cause damage to the tool.

APPLICATION
WARNING: Always check the direction of rotation before operating the
tool. The tool must be set for forward or clockwise rotation only. Failure to obey
this caution may cause property damage.
WARNING:Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with
side shields and unplug the tool before changing accessories or making
adjustments. Failure to obey this warning may cause serious personal injury.
WARNING:Be prepared for a sudden and tremendous twisting force
or kick back exerted by the tool. The tendency for the drill to grab or kick
back in the opposite direction is caused by hole breakthrough, the hole
becoming clogged with chips or concrete/masonry dust, or by striking hidden
reinforcing bar embedded in the concrete. Always maintain a firm grip on
both the auxiliary handle and switch handle during drilling and hammer drilling
operations. Failure to be prepared may result in loss of tool control and
possible serious injury.

WARNING: DO NOT FORCE the tool. Too much pressure may cause
bits to break, resulting in bodily injury. Excessive pressure will cause bits to
overheat, damaging the drill bit. Too little pressure keeps the bit from cutting,
dulling the bit edges due to excessive friction.






 Portez toujours des lunettes à coques latérales ou des lunettes de
sécurité



 Portez un appareil antibruit lorsque 

 Tenez l’outil fermement

 Maintenez toujours un bon équilibre

 Ne saisissez pas l’outil et ne placez pas vos mains à proximité du
mandrin ou du foret en rotation. 

 Vérifiez toujours que le matériau à percer est bien fixé et serré sur
place si nécessaire afin d’éviter tout mouvement

 Ne tenez jamais la pièce à usiner dans votre main


 Placez toujours le cordon hors de portée du foret en rotation et
N’ENROULEZ PAS le cordon autour de votre bras ou de votre
poignet

 Lorsque vous utilisez la perceuse, NE VOUS PLACEZ PAS entre
l’outil et a un mur ou un montant.


 Si le foret se grippe ou se coince dans l’ouvrage,



 N’utilisez pas des forets et accessoires émoussés ou endommagés

 N’utilisez pas des forets plus grands que ceux recommandés



 Lorsque vous retirez le foret de l’outil, éviter tout contact avec la
peau



 Portez des gants rembourrés et faites des pauses fréquentes.


N’utilisez que des forets au carbure pour perçage à percussion, et
n’essayez pas de couper une tige d’armature de béton avec.
Vérifiez l’outil et enlevez toute clé de mandrin ou clé de réglage
avant de mettre la perceuse en marche (ON).

