Caution / Important
Before using Ripl, read and follow these instructions.
Be kind to your ears. High volume or sound pressure can have damaging effects to your hearing. Before
turning on Ripl, please make sure the volume on your output device and sliding volume control in the
connector cable are turned to low. Once connected and sound is playing, gradually increase the volume on
the Ripl module and to the headphones until you achieve a comfortable level. Ripl was designed to allow you
to experience the feeling of sound through the module without needing to turn up the volume to your ears
to unsafe levels. Do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.

Use responsibly - Do not use Ripl when it is unsafe to do so, such as while driving a car, riding a bicycle,
crossing streets, or operating heavy equipment.
Use caution with Ripl - Like other consumer electronic products, Ripl can break or get damaged when
dropped on hard surfaces, which could lead to unsafe operation. When not in use, keep Ripl inside the
included hard-shell case. During use, be careful not to drop or throw the products on hard surfaces.
Accessories –Do not place this product on unstable cart, tripod, bracket or table. The product may fall,
causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the product. Use only with cart, stand, tripod,
bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product
should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the
manufacturer.
Software –Do not attempt to amend or replace the default software of the product from the factory setting.
The product may not function properly and causing damage to the user and the product.
Please note and use judgment. While Ripl was designed to work with and attach to most headphones, it
does not mean it works with or connects to all. If your existing headphones have controls on the outer ear
cups, then we strongly encourage you to first confirm the controls will work with the discs sitting on them
prior to permanently attaching them. If the controls do not work, then do not attach the discs. Additionally,
the sticker on the headphone attachment discs are intended to be permanent. Please use caution when
securing them as the discs are extremely difficult to remove. Also, some headphone models use softer
materials in their construction. If your headphones use foam, pliable rubber, or a similar type of softer
material on the inner or outer ear cups, then do not use Ripl with them. Once you connect Ripl with the
loops or secure with the attachment discs, we are not responsible for any damage done to your headphones.

Quick Start Guide
Contents
1x Ripl Sub
2x Attachment Loops
2x Headphone Attachment Discs
1x Ripl Band
1x Ripl Earphones
1x Package of Foam Tips
1x Ripl Connector Cable
1x Ripl Battery Charger
4x AAA Rechargeable Batteries
1x Hard Shell Case
1x Carrying Bag
Instructions
1. Place the batteries inside the battery charger and fully charge until green lights appear. Once fully
charged, insert three batteries into the Ripl Sub (Sub).
2. Ripl One can be used several ways –attaching the Sub directly to your headphones, attaching the Sub to
your headphones with the headphone attachment kit (HAK), and attaching the Sub to the band:
a) To attach the Sub to headphones, similar to Figure 2a, that have a space between the inner ear
cups and the headband, place the loops over the inside of the headphone ear cups so that it looks like Figure
2b. Adjust the attachment bands until the Sub is comfortable and held securely in place on the back of the
neck. Remove the plastic caps from the connector cable and plug the end with the right angle into the Sub
and the straight end into the left ear cup of the headphones. Alternatively, insert the jack from your
headphones into the Sub.
2a. 2b.
b) To attach the Sub to headphones, similar to Figure 2c, that have a flat surface on the outer ear
cups, you will need to use the HAK, which includes the two connecting discs that adhere to the surface. First,
remove the cap on the discs, place the loops inside the base, and reconnect the cap. Next, with your
headphones on your head and in front of a mirror, hold a disc in each hand and place the Sub on the back of
the neck. Stretch each disc to the outer portion of each ear cup, keeping an eye on the angle of the loops
and bands going around your neck –on the left cup, approximately at 4 o’clock, and the right at 7 o’clock.

v2019.RO.UG.2
Once the placement of the disc on the ear cup is identified, then gently peel the protective layer from the
base and repeat the above steps. When you have found the comfortable position to secure the base, firmly
press and allow the sticker to set for two hours, as shown in Figure 2d. PLEASE NOTE –once you firmly press
and attach the base unit to your headphones, the sticker will form a bond and will be very difficult to remove.
Please be very careful and sure of the placement before allowing the sticker to set.
2c.
2d.
b) To attach the Sub to the Band, first remove the attachment loops from the Sub. Next, insert each
end of the Band into each side of the Sub from the underside, making sure the silicone strip is facing inward,
until it looks like the image below. Adjust the tightness on each side of the band to ensure a secure and
comfortable fit to your head. Remove the plastic cap from the Earphones and insert the right-angle end into
the Sub and place an earbud inside each ear. If needed, replace the foam tips with other sizes to achieve a
secure fit.
3. Making sure your output device is turned on, push and hold the Power button on the Sub for 1-3 seconds
to begin pairing mode. You will hear a voice say “Pairing” and see the light flash green during the process.

v2019.RO.UG.2
When you see “Ripl” appear in your device’s Bluetoothscreen, push it to connect the Sub. Once the Sub is
connected to your device, you will hear “Connected.” Please note – during your first pairing, you may need
to turn off (below) and turn on the Sub more than once.
** insert drawing of side of Sub from earlier user guide
4. If you are using the Sub with headphones, place the Sub on the back of the neck and the headphones over
your ears. If you are using the Sub with the Band, place the Sub on the back of the neck, the Band around
your head, and earbuds into your ears. Now hit play on your favorite track and feel the Ripl difference.
While you’re enjoying content in a new way, you can use the master volume on the Sub to control the overall
sound intensity, and the sliding control in the connector cable to adjust the volume to your ears.
5. To turn off the Sub, push and hold the Power button for 3 seconds or until you hear “Power Off.”
Additionally, if no music is played through the Sub for 5 minutes, the Sub will automatically turn off and you
will hear “Power Off.”
