Install the Levelers
1. Unscrew and remove the top hex nut from each of the
Leveling Feet.
2. Insert the threaded post of a Leveling Foot up through
the base of each of the 90° Legs and 22.5° Legs.
3. Thread the hex nut back on each Leveling Foot and use
a 3/4" wrench to tighten. Fig. 1.
4. If you need to adjust the Leveling Feet after the Steel Stand
is fully assembled, loosen the Top Hex Nut and lower the
Bottom Hex Nut. Adjust the Middle Hex Nut until the
Leveling Foot is correctly positioned. Then tighten the
Top Hex Nut and raise the Bottom Hex Nut until it’s
tight against the Middle Hex Nut.
Stand Assembly
1. Start with one of the back corner sections. Lay out two 90°
Legs with two 32" Stretchers between them.
2. Make sure the 32" Stretchers are oriented so the mitered top
flanges are facing up. Position them on the inside faces of the
90° Legs and align the square holes in the Stretchers with
those in the Legs, at top and bottom.
3. Connect the 32" Stretchers to the 90° Legs with a 5/16"-18
Carriage Bolt, Washer and 5/16"-18 Nut in each square hole,
starting with the top holes. The Carriage Bolts should
installed from the outside face of the Legs so the round
heads are facing out. Before fully tightening the Nuts,
use a square to make sure that the Stretchers and Legs
are joined at 90°.
4. Attach the other two 32" Stretchers to the remaining 90°
Legs with two 5/16"-18 Carriage Bolts, Washers and
5/16"-18 Nuts at each intersection, making sure that the
Stretchers are on the inside of the Leg and oriented so
the mitered top flanges are facing up.
5. Attach that assembly to one of the Legs of the first assembly
with two 5/16"-18 Carriage Bolts, Washers and 5/16"-18 Nuts
at each intersection. Again, before fully tightening the nuts,
use a square to make sure that the Stretchers and Legs are
joined at 90°.

6. With the rear corner section assembled, lay out the two
22.5° Legs with the two Front Stretchers in between, making
sure that the Stretchers are on the inside of the Legs and
oriented so the mitered top flanges are facing up.
7. Connect the Front Stretchers to the 22.5° Legs with a
5/16"-18 Carriage Bolt, Washer and 5/16"-18 Nut in each
square hole, starting with the top holes. Before fully
tightening the nuts, use a square to make sure that
the Stretchers and Legs are joined at 90°.
8. Attach the front section from Step 7 to the rear corner
section with two 16" Stretchers on each side, making sure
that the Stretchers are oriented so the mitered top flanges
are facing up. Connect the 16" Stretchers to the 22.5° Legs
of the front section and the 90° Legs (1) of the rear corner
sections with a 5/16"-18 Carriage Bolt, Washer and 5/16"-18
Nut in each square hole. Again, before fully tightening the
nuts, use a square to make sure that the Stretchers and
Legs are joined at 90°.
9. Mount the top of your choice and, if desired, a shelf,
using the mounting holes in the mitered flanges of the
Stretchers. (Mounting hardware for top and
shelf not included.)
10. If necessary, adjust the Leveling Feet so the stand sits
solidly on the floor.
11. Apply the Rockler sticker to one of the Front Stretchers.
We recommend centering it on the lower Front Stretcher.
