III. Operation Procedures for New Car
1. Notes before using the new car
For a new car, large friction force occurs among running components as car traveling. As running-in of the
components, the friction force will gradually reduce. The following notes are proposed for traveling under 3000km
and with the use of these notes, better operational capacity and economy will be gained after the car running-in.
(1) The traveling speed shall not exceed 40km/h.
(2) It is prohibited to driving the car with over-speed and overload.
(3) The transmission oil must be replaced after traveling 2,000 km.
(4) Emergency braking shall be avoided especially during the first 300Km traveling except for emergency
conditions.
2. Actuation switch: there are three positions for the key in the hole:
Lock (lockin position)
The key can be extracted from or inserted into the lock cylinder, and if the key cannot rotate in the cylinder, please
try to slowly revolve from left to right.
When the car is traveling, the key cannot be rotated to the “LOCK” position, or the steering wheel will be locked
and accidents may be resulted from this condition.
Three rotation positions of the key
ACC (accessory position)
When the ignition switch is at "ACC" position, only the assistant power supply for radio etc will be controlled. At
that time, even the motor is closed; the user can enjoy the radio.
ON (startin position)
When the key is at this position, the turn control, radio and motor are all switched on, and the users can enjoy radio
and open the hazard signal switch.
The features not controlled by the key, such as headlight, horn, interior lights and width indicator can be directly used without key. Inspect whether the

ROMET 4E Electric Vehicle Instruction Manual

voltmeter and electricity meter are ample or not.
The key shall not be left in the car with no one or only kids.
3. Start-up operation of Electric Vehicle
The Electric Vehicles can be divided into two pursuant to high and low speeds: one is Electric
Vehicle with low-gear transmission; the other is Electric Vehicle with high-low gear
transmission (option).
As the key is at the start-up position, open the master switch and inspect the road condition in
front and manual braking condition, the user can drive the car only after confirmation for the
above.
① There are three positions for Electric Vehicles with low-gear transmission: Neutral, drive and reverse positions. The control lever is between the two front seats
and the operation procedures are as follows:
(1) When the lever is vertical at the medium position, (2) The leveler is pushed forward to the drive (3) The lever is pushed backward to “R” position.

it is neutral position. At this time, even slowly
engaging the accelerator, this car cannot travel.
position, and the car will travel after engaging the
accelerator under proper conditions.
And this gear can realize reversing the car (the
reversing red indicator will light up).
Operation procedures of the Electric Vehicle:
For the Electric Vehicles with low-gear transmission, the start-up procedures are as follows: 1. rotate the key to the start-up position; 2.
push the control lever to the forward position; and 3. slowly engage the accelerator pedal. Then you can drive the car.
For the Electric Vehicles with high-low gear transmission, the start-up procedures are as follows: 1. rotate the key to the start-up position;
2. press the forward button of the power switch; 3. push the control lever to the low-gear position; and 4. slowly engage the accelerator
pedal. Then you can drive the car.
① No shifting during engaging the accelerator pedal! Slowly engaging the accelerator pedal during start-up can extend the traveling mileage!
② If the front wheel can not rotate during acceleration, the user shall not drive the car, while the possible reason is that the wheel has been immersed in the
deep sandpit or muddy ground, or it may be blocked by something hard. At this time, if the car is forced to travel, the differential may be damaged. Likewise,
when the car is traveling uphill, the braking shall not only depend on braking pedal to prevent reversing, or the transmission case may be damaged. At that time,
the car shall be stopped on the slope with parking brake!
4. arking brake
For parking braking, lift the manual braking handle (1) with your right hand to brake the car. The user shall first
slightly pull the handle up and use the thumb to press the locking button (2) on the handle top in order to release
the braking handle. ut down the handle (3) and the parking will be released.
If the parking brake is not fully engaged, it is very dangerous to leave the car behind, and your car may
voluntarily move due to environmental factors. If the engine is still running, then the car may suddenly
travel resulting in personal injuries. Thus, you shall ensure your car cannot move and inspect the parking
brake is fully engaged.

ROMET 4E Electric Vehicle Instruction Manual

Do not shift into high gear or low gear during accelerating. The transmission will be damaged unless you move your foot away from the accelerator pedal before
change gear.
Forwarding and reversing of the car are subject to the switch of “forward” and “reverse”. Move your foot away from the accelerator pedal during switching forward
gear and reverse gear! Otherwise an accident will take place. Be careful!
1. Do not shift into reverse gear as the car is forwarding, the reverse gear is available only when the car is under the condition of shutting down.
2. The car can be forwarding, only when switched on, and the operating arm is shifted into low gear.
3. The ranges of the car can be reduced as a result of using top gear. Suggest using low gear, or the ranges of the car may be shortened.

III. Instrument Cluster Appearance
1. Speedometer and odometer
The speedometer shows the speed in km/h, while the odometer shows the traveled mileage of
the car in km.
The LED odometer is installed in the car, with the upper line of mileage and the lower line of
traveled distance.
If you want to calculate the traveled distance of certain mileage, first press the reset button
under the odometer and the traveled distance will be metered.

LEFT/RIGHT TURN INDICATOR The turn signal indicator is a green signal light installed on the instrument cluster; the blinking represents the turn
signal light is working. If the blinking frequency is too high or no blinking, please repair the light; if no illumination as the turn switch is open, please repair
fuse, lamp and flash relay. When the danger alarming switch is engaged, the two turn signal lights shall flash simultaneously.
HEADLIGHT INDICATOR The illumination of the high-beam indicator represents the headlight is at the high-beam work state.
LOW-BEAM INDICATOR The illumination of the low-beam indicator represents the headlight is at the low-beam work state.
CHARGING INDICATOR Yellow illumination represents the battery capacity above 80%; green blinking represents charging state, while green stop
represents the battery capacity of 100%; red illumination represents the battery capacity lower than 80%; in addition, when this indicator is flashing, it
means insufficient capacity and asking for charging.
TRAVELING READY INDICATOR It represents turning off the light under the traveling conditions.
MOTOR OVERHEAT ALARMING INDICATOR As this indicator lights up, please park the car in a safe location and restart the car only after the
indicator goes off.
OSITION INDICATOR As illumination of the position light, the position indicator will light up.
The optimum time for charging is when the electricity meter represents 55% capacity, while please immediately charge the car as blinking of the relevant
indicator and 40% capacity. lease keep the battery surface clean to extend the life of the batteries.

Vertically swing the control lever in the left-right direction as shown in above figures
can realize:
1. Turn off the current headlight; and when the left lever is pushed upward, the
temporary high-beam will light up (giving the overtaking signal). As the signal pole is
released, the signal will stop. The switching between high-beam and low-beam is
shown in the figure.
2. When the right control lever is pushed to "ON" position, the wiper will run; when
“OFF” position, the wiper will stop and automatically reset.
De-frost and de-fog device
Due to the low temperature in winter, there may be fog or frost on the
windshield. De-frost & de-fog switch can be engaged and fog & frost will
dissipate as the temperature is rising. This device applies the electric heating
technology, so the frequent use is improper due to the consequential effects
on the mileage to be traveled.

Alarming flasher switch
If this switch is turned on, all the turning signal lights will blink and light up; press this switch to turn off
all lights.
When parking the car in the place of potential accidents, if necessary, the alarming flasher must light up to
warn other drivers!
If any button on the instrument cluster can not rebound after pressing, please repair it in the nearby
after-sales service branch!
Cleaning of the ash tray
1. Firstly turn down 1 (as shown in the
