the
tuning

storage
of
TV

The
screen
pages
are
called
up
by
pressing
coloured
buttons:

The
selected
screen
page
appears
as
soon
as
one
of
the

marker
changes
colour.
The
marker

coloured

indicate
that
settings

now
be
made

You

Fine
Tuning
The
TV
picture
is
automatically
tuned
to
be
as
sharp
as
possible.
The
picture
quality
can
sometimes
be
improved
in
the
event
of
poor
reception
or
when
using
a
video
recorder:

Use
the

to
correct
the
picture
contours
towards
“sharper”

or
“softer”

Tuning
Non-Standardized
Channels
Depending
on
the
reception
area,
there
may
be
stations
which
do
not
fit
into
the
standardized
“channel
grid”.

such
cases,

nearest

fine
tune,
then

store
at
the
desired
programme
memory
location
(see
“Stor-
ing
TV
Stations”).
Replacing
the
Remote
Control
Unit
Batteries
This
is
necessary
when
the
range
of
the
remote
control
unit
drops.
Insert
only
leakproof
batteries
of
the
same
type
into
the
battery
compartment
in
the
rear
of
the
unit.
For
the
sake
of
the
environment,
please
dispose
of
the
old
batteries
properly
(special
refuse
dump
or
collection
point).
Controls
on
the
Set
The
most
important
functions
can
also
be
operated
directly
at
the
set,
e.g.
if
the
batteries
in
the
remote
control
unit
have
become
discharged.

particular

changing

Newsflashes
and
Subtitles
To
receive
newsflashes
during
TV
programmes
and
television
pro-
grammes
with
subtitles,
select
the
page
number
from
the
index
(e.g.
for
newsflash
“News
Update”,
page
111
and
for
TV
program-
mes
with
subtitles
“Teletext-Subtitle’,
page
150).
Once
the
page
has
been
found,
the
receiver
will
automatically
switch
back
to
the
TV
programme.
Newsflashes
or
subtitles
then
appear
in
the
TV
picture.
If
you
do
not
want
to
have
the
“Newsflashes”
permanently
shown,

title
