thediscrecordingdevice(CD-RecorderorPC)andthe
conditionofthedisc.
• Use650MB/74minuteCD-Rdiscs.
DonotuseCD-Rdiscsover700MB/80minutesasthey
maynotbeplayedback.
• SomeCD-RW(Rewritable)media,maynotbeplayable.
• OnlyCD-Rsthatareproperly"closed"canbefullyplayed.If
thesessionisclosedbutthediscisleftopen,youmaynot
beabletofullyplaythedisc.
CD-R MP3 Discs
• OnlyCD-RdiscswithMP3lesinISO9660orJolietformat
canbeplayed.
• MP3lenamesshouldcontainnoblankspacesorspecial
characters(forexample,.=+).
• Usediscsrecordedwithacompression/decompression
datarategreaterthan128Kbps.
• Onlyleswiththe".mp3"and".MP3"extensionscanbe
played.
• Onlyconsecutivelywrittenmultisessiondiscscanbe
played.IfthereisablanksegmentinaMultisessiondisc,
thedisccanbeplayedonlyuptotheblanksegment.
• Ifadiscisnotclosed,itwilltakelongertobeginplayback
andnotalloftherecordedlesmaybeplayed.
• ForlesencodedinVariableBitRate(VBR)format,i.e.les
encodedinbothlowbitrateandhighbitrate(e.g.,32Kbps
~320Kbps),thesoundmayskipduringplayback.
• Amaximumof999trackscanbeplayedperCD.
• Supportedaudioformats:WMA56~128kbpsBitRate.
Cautions on Handling and Storing Discs
Small scratches on the disc may reduce sound and picture
quality or cause skipping.
Be especially careful not to scratch discs when handling
them.
Holding discs
• Donottouchtheplaybacksideofthedisc.
• Holdthediscbytheedgessothatngerprintswillnotget
onthesurface.
• Donotstickpaperortapeonthedisc.
Disc Storage
• Do not keep in direct sunlight.
• Keep in a cool, ventilated area.
• Keep in a clean, protective jacket.
Store vertically.
• Do notallowthediscstobecomecontaminatedwithdirt.
• Donotusecrackedorscratcheddiscs.
Handling and Storing Discs
If you get fingerprints or dirt on a disc, clean it with a mild
detergent diluted in water and wipe with a soft cloth.
• Whencleaning,wipegentlyfromtheinsidetotheoutsideof
thedisc.
• Condensationmayformifwarmaircomesintocontact
withcoldpartsinsidetheproduct.Whencondensation
formsinsidetheproduct,itmaynotoperatecorrectly.Ifthis
occurs,removethediscandlettheproductstandfor1or2
hourswiththepoweron.
