Connecting the system
Connect the active speakers to the Hub using the speaker cables
included in the box or any 2 conductor speaker cable. Don´t worry
about the polarity of the cables and terminals. The system oper-
ates at maximum performance in any case due to its digital nature.
The cables transfer both signal and power, which is why you don´t
need an extra power cable for each active speaker.
Connect each active speaker to the Hub using the speaker cables.
Connect just one active speaker to the Hub. Then connect the
second speaker to the rst speaker.
The Two Styles of Connection – both equally good.
– The Traditional:
– The Speaker Chain:
The Opalum Sound System
is a pure digital system.
Therefore use digital or
optical cables if possible when
connecting sources to the
system.

5. Connecting the system
The speakers of the Opalum sound system can be connected to the Control Hub in two different
ways thanks to the Actiline® technology. In both cases using the included speaker cables.
•Parallel connected (figure 4) or
•Daisy chain connected (figure 5)
Both connection schemes are presented below and they are equal in performance.
For maximum ease of use the polarity of the speaker cables and terminals does not matter as the
data is transferred to the speaker digitally – another benefit of the Actiline® technology.
For instructions on how to properly use the speaker terminals together with the included cables
see section “Using the speaker terminals”.

cable into an un-switched power outlet.
The process of system activation
illustrated on these pages is
identical, regardless of which

you have.

Connect input sources Depending on your choice of sources and
connection cables from, connect the ca-
bles to the correct terminals on the Hub.
The type of terminal is indicated on the
Hub in both colours and text.
In most cases the system won´t require a
subwoofer, but should you happen to be
a fan of extreme deep and vibrant bass,
just connect your subwoofer to the Hub
and turn the low-pass frequency setting
to max.
Only thing you need to adjust is the
subwoofer level.
A brief study of the most simple Remote you´ll ever use.
Now you should be listening to the deep rich sound of the
Opalum Sound System. Enjoy ...
