SETTING UP THE CIGAR COOLER
1. When choosing a location to store the cigar cooler, be aware of the following:
a. Be sure that it is placed on a sturdy, level surface that is strong enough to support it when full.
b. Ensure there is at least 6-inches of space behind the cooler and 10-inces of space on either side. This will
ensure proper air ventilation.
c. It is not recommended to place the cooler on a carpet or rug.
2. Make sure the unit is level by rotating each of the bottom feet until it appears perfectly level and stable. You
may want to use a carpenter’s level to do this.
ATTACHING THE HANDLE
BEFORE FIRST USE
• When you first turn on the cigar cooler, or restart it after an extended period of non-use, there could be a
few degrees variance between the temperatures you select and the one indicated on the LCD readout.
- This is normal and it is due to the length of the activation time. Leave the cigar cooler on for a few hours,
and normal operation will resume.
• Place the cigar cooler in a dry, well-ventilated space with ambient temperature between 50°–80°F
(10°–26°C).
NOTE: If the ambient temperature is above or below the recommended range, the unit's performance may be
affected. Extreme cold or hot conditions may cause the interior temperature to uctuate. This will then prevent
the optimal interior temperature range from being reached.
In addition, the temperature may uctuate depending on whether the interior light is on or off, and whether the
cigars are located on the upper, middle, or lower racks. Environments that are air-conditioned or experiencing
exceptionally low or high humidity may affect performance. For best results, the humidity in the room should be
between 50% to 75%.
1. Lightly pull away the door
gasket, being careful not
to remove it completely. It
is located on the inner left
side of the door where the
handle is to be installed.The
gasket is easily removed by
hand, no tools necessary.
2. Guide the two (2) included
screws through the pre-drilled
holes in the door until they
are entirely through.Then
align the handle with
the door.
3. Tighten the screws using
a Philips-head screwdriver
(not included) until the
handle sits flush and is
secured tightly against
the door frame.
NOTE: DO NOT over-tighten,
as this will cause damage t
o the handle assembly.
4. Replace the door gasket
to its original position.

5
MAINTAINING CIGAR HUMIDITY
1. Fill the humidity tray (small plastic reservoir) to about ¾ full with 100% distilled water.
2. Place the filled reservoir onto the bottom of the cigar cooler.
3. Regularly check the water level and refill as necessary.
4. The recommended humidity level for cigars is between 65% and 75%.Use the built-in hygrometer to
moderate the humidity level.
a. If the humidity is less than 65%,leave the reservoir inside until the humidity rises above 65% but is less
than 75%
b. If the humidity is more than 75%, remove the reservoir (if it’s inside), then reduce the inside temperature
until the humidity falls below 75% but is more than 65%
c. If humidity exceeds the desired level, leave the door open until it reaches the desired level. This will only
work if the outside environment is at a lower humidity level than the unit.
The humidity level of cigars is a matter of personal taste, however we recommend the following levels:
65% – Ideal for Cuban cigars, and those who enjoy dryer cigars with a stronger burn.
69% – The standard level recommended by cigar manufacturers.
72% – The best choice for humidor seasoning. It is not recommended to consistently keep cigars at this level.
Once the desired level of humidity has been reached and the door to the unit is closed, it will work to maintain
that humidity level.
NOTE 1: any humidity level between 65% and 75% is appropriate for cigar storage.
NOTE 2:The readout on the built-in hygrometer is approximate and can vary +/- 3%.
CALIBRATING YOUR HYGROMETER
If you are unsure of whether your hygrometer’s reading is correct, you can use a simple process to check it.You
will need these items:
• Table salt
• Water
• A bottle cap
• A clear,re-sealable plastic bag or container
• A measuring spoon (teaspoon size)
Here is the process:
1. Push on the back of the hygrometer to disengage it from the drawer.
2. Measure one teaspoon of salt and place
it in the bottle cap.
3. Dampen it with a few drops of water (but
do not dissolve it).
