PRECAUTIONS
Note: Please recharge this player before using it!
1. Please use the player properly in case of explosion, fire, electric shock, etc.
2. Do not repair the player by yourself, or it will cause damage.
3. Do avoid getting the player wet or drop it in water.
4. Do not use the player while raining.
5. For U-disk, it will be write-protected if you switch the【HOLD/POWER】button to “Lock
position.
6. Please backup important data onto your personal computer before repair or other causes may result in
data loss.
When using the player, pay attention to your health, especially the volume level of hearing.
1. Do not use the earphones while driving or riding a bicycle.
2. It may cause traffic accident if you turn up the volume of the earphones while walking down the street.
3. Do not turn up the volume too high. The doctors warn against prolonged exposure to high volume.
4. Always use the accessories provided in this player.

FEATURES
The player supports MP3 and WMA music file formats, including WMA files with DRM (Digital Rights
Management) function. Support USB 2.0 capability, much faster than USB 1.1, to enable faster
communication with your PC.
It can record voice and FM radio.
1.8" OLED 262k color screen, which can display photos and movies.
It has repeat and slide show functions.
It has Video Playback (MTV), Photo Viewer (JPG/BMP) and E-book (TXT).
It can be connected to a PC with the USB cable and can serve as a removable hard disk (mass
storage device).
Built-in rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
You can re-install the firmware using the supplied CD.
It can be turned off automatically after a preset time.

BATTERYCHARGE
This product is equipped with a rechargeable Li-polymer battery.
1. Connect the player to a PC with the USB cable or the supplied AC/USB adapter (that connected to an
AC outlet with 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz) to charge the battery.
2. When the battery is being re-charged, the icon will change from an empty battery
to a full
one
. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.
3. To stop recharging, disconnect the USB cable or AC/USB adapter.
Notes:
zBefore using it the first time, please recharge the player.
zYour computer must be turned on while connected to your player for charging.
zThe player only accepts the standard USB output voltage and current to charge the built-in Li-polymer
battery: 5V and less than 500mA current. If the charging voltage and current are out of the range, it
will damage the battery and the player. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by failure to
respect this remark.
zDo not overcharge the player, or it may shorten the battery’s life.
zCAUTION: Do not disassemble, crush, short-circuit or incinerate your battery as it may cause fire,
injury, burns, or other hazards.

BASICOPERATIONS
Turn on the player and play music
1. Connect the earphones to the earphone jack .
2. SwitchtheHOLD/POWER knob to unlock position .
3. Slide the HOLD/POWER knob downward and hold it to turn on the player and
enter the main menu (the default is “MUSIC” mode).
4. Press the button to enter music menu.
5. To return to the main menu, press and hold the M button.

6. To Play/Pause the music, press the button.
7. To select the next or previous file, press the【/】buttons.
8. To turn off the player, Slide the HOLD/POWER knob downward and hold it .
Note: Please reset the player by pressing the RESET button with a sharp point while failing to turn the
player on or hanging up in power ON mode.
Volume Adjustment
In music or video (MTV) files playing, Voice and FM radio mode, press the R/V button to switch to volume
mode and then press the【/】buttons to adjust the volume.
MenuNavigation
1. Press and hold the M button to enter main menu. Press it briefly to return to previous submenu.
2. Press the【/】buttons to select your desired option (e.g. MUSIC, FILE, VOICE, PHOTO, FM,
SETUP, VIDEO, EBOOK.).
MUSIC PLAYBACK
In the main menu, press the【/】buttons to select “MUSIC” and enter by pressing the button.
Use the【/】buttons to select the files and press the button to start playback.
Music Playback Functions
In music playback mode, press the M button to enter submenu and use the【/】buttons to select
your desired mode: File, Classified, Play List, Repeat, Equalizer, 3D, Slide Show, A-B or Play Rate. Press
the button to enter the selected mode.

1. Press the【/】buttons to select the music files and press the button to playback.
2. You can delete the music file or add it to the “My List” (stored in the “Play List”) by pressing the
button. Use the【+/-】buttons to select “Add to list" or “Delete” and press the button to confirm.
3. Press the button to return to previous submenu.
Classified
You can classify the music files using the【/】buttons to select “Yes” (or “No” to cancel this function)
and the press the button to confirm.
Notes:
1. It will take longer time to build the classified list. During the process, you can press the M button to
cancel the function.
2. After the classifying process is complete, the “Classified” menu will display “Genre”, “Artist”, “Album”
and “Title” that you can look for the files according to the classification.
3. You can also use Music Classification AP to download, create or delete music classification database
on PC. ClassifyMusic_V1.5 will download the music files into Root\MUSIC folder automatically. Details
refer to the next section – AP Installation and Operation.
AP Installation and “Music Classification” Operation
1. Connect the player to the PC with the operating system: Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
2. Put the instruction and installation CD into the PC and enter the folder named “ClassifyMusic_V1.5”.
3. Double click “MusicClassify”MFC Application to display the following menu:

4. Download the music files to the player.
4.1) Click the command “Select Music” or “Select Music Directory” to input music files with “.mp3” or
“.wma” formats, one by one or the whole directory.
4.2) Click the command ”Download Music” to download selected music into the player and create/refresh
the music classification database.
5. Click the command “Delete Music” to delete music files on the player and create /refresh the music

classification database.
NOTE:
1. The program “ClassifyMusic_V1.5” AP can only classify the music files within the player;
2. The detailed introduction to the Classify Music AP refers to the instruction and installation CD
→”ClassifyMusic_V1.5”→“Music_Classification_AP” Word file.
Play List
You can find the Play List (My List, *pla, *m3u, *wpl), open one of the Play List and select the music file.
Then you can press the button to playback it or press the R/V button to delete the file from the play
list or permanently from the player. Use the 【/】buttons to select “Del list" or “Delete” and press
the button to confirm.
NOTE:
1. Please build the Play List (except *pla play list) based on the device’s music files;
2. You must put the play list files (*.m3u or *.wpl) into [Root\PLAYLIST] folder;
3. The music playback will pause for several seconds while opening a Play List.
Repeat
You can select different repeat playback modes: Repeat One, Repeat All, Random All, Folder Normal,
Folder Repeat, Folder Random or No Repeat,).
Equalizer
You can select different EQ modes: Normal, Pop, Rock, Classic, Jazz, Bass or Custom EQ.
Custom EQ: You can personalize the EQ settings using the R/V button to scroll the EQ levels and press
the【/】buttons to adjust the level.
NOTE: The equalizer effect is not always obvious while playing WMA files.

3D sound effect can be turned On or Off.
Slide Show
You can select the interval of the slide show: Off, 5 Seconds, 10 Seconds, 15 Seconds, 30 Seconds or 60
Seconds.
You can use slide show maker in the instruction and installation CD disk to make slide show files for the
player chip. It transforms many images files into single slide show file. The effect of the slide show is
similar to the screen saver on PC Windows. When a music file is played without any button actions for a
while, the pictures in the slide show file will be displayed one by one among one of the four modes
(Normal, Shutter (Left to Right), Shutter (Top to Bottom), Circle). Different modes show different visual
effects.
NOTE: The player can playback one slide show file only and hence put one SLS file into the folder -
SLS.DIR at one time.
Slide Show Maker AP
Insert the instruction and installation CD to the PC and enter the folder named SlideShowMaker_V1.12.0.
Then double click “Slide Show Maker”to display the following menu:

1) “Image File Name” – Show all image input files.
2) “Preview Window” – Show an image file or the effects of the slide show.
3) “Mode” Selection – Four modes: Normal, Shutter (Left to Right), Shutter (Top to Bottom), Circle.
4) “Load Image” – Input image files (*.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif).
5) “Preview” – Show the effects of the slide show.
6) “Transform” – Transform all image input files to single slide show file.
7) “Cancel” – Cancel preview or transformation.

8) “Delete” – Delete selected image files in the image file name list.
9) “Up” – Move the selected image file up in the image file name list.
10) “Down” – Move the selected image file down in the image file name list.
AP Slide Show operation
1) Open the file “SlideShow” to view the configuration settings: Language, Panel Size and Panel
Type.
NOTE: You must set the panel size to be 160X128.
2) Click the command “Load Image” to load Images (*.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif)
3) Manage Image File Name List (Using the commands “Delete”, “Up”, “Down”)
4) Select a mode of the slide show & Preview: Normal, Shutter (Left to Right), Shutter (Top to Bottom),
Circle.
5) Click the command “Transform” to transform the images into SLS file.
NOTE: The detailed introduction to the slide show refers to instruction and installation CD →folder
“SlideShowMaker_V1.12.0” →“Slide_Show_Maker_AP” word format file.
A-B
You can repeat playing a section. Press the R/V button to select point A and press it again to select point
B. It will playback the section A-B repeatedly. Press the R/V button third time to cancel the A-B repeat
mode.
Play Rate
You can select the desired playback speed: 1.00X, 1.14X, 1.33X,1.60X, 0.50X, 0.67X, 0.80X).
NOTE: This function does not support WMA file format.
FILEMANAGEMENT
In the main menu, press the【/】buttons to select “FILE” and enter by pressing the button.
1. Use the【/】buttons to select a file and press the button to confirm.
2. To delete a file, press the Mbutton to return to file list and then press the R/V button to enter “Delete”

menu, and press the【/】buttons to select “Yes” or “No”. Then, press the button to
confirm.

OICERECORDING
In the main menu, press the 【/】buttons to select “Voice” and enter by pressing the button.
1. Press the【/】buttons to select the recorded file, and press the button to playback.
2. Press and hold the R/V button to start recording.
3. Press the button to pause or resume recording. Press the M button to save the recorded file in
the folder “MICIN.DIR”.
4. In playback mode, press the M button to enter into submenu of File, Repeat, Equalizer, 3D, A-B, Play
Rate and follow the steps in section “MUSIC PLAYBACK”.
PHOTOVIEWER
In the main menu, press the 【/】buttons to select “PHOTO” and enter by pressing the
button.
1. Press the【/】buttons to select the photo file and press the button repeatedly to view the
photos one by one in sequence. You can also use the【/】buttons to skip to next or previous
file.
2. To delete the file, press the Mbutton to return to photo list and then press the R/V button to enter
“Delete” menu, and press the【/】buttons to select “Yes” or “No”. Then, press the button
to confirm.
NOTE:
1. The player supports JPEG and BMP format image files.
2. If the JPEG image files has thumbnail, you can see their miniatures in PHOTO list.

FMRADIOANDRECORDING
In the main menu, press the 【/】buttons to select “FM” and enter by pressing the button.
FM Radio
Note: To receive radio reception, the earphones must be connected to the player since the neck strap
serves as an FM antenna.
1. Press the button to switch to Tuning and Preset mode.
2. In “Tuning” mode, press and hold the 【/】button for a second and release the button to search
the station automatically. To fine tune, press the【/】button repeatedly to adjust the frequency.
2.1 To save the station manually, press the Mbutton and select “Save Preset”. Press the button to
confirm and use【/】button to select the preset station number.
2.2 To save the station automatically, press the Mbutton and select “Auto Scan”. Press the button
to start auto scanning. It will store all the stations automatically.
3. In “Preset” mode, press the【/】button to select the preset stations up to total 30.
Press the Mbutton to enter submenu: Delete or Auto Scan, to delete the preset station or start auto
scanning.
FM Recording
You can press and hold the R/V button to start recording FM stations. Press the button to pause or
resume recording. Press the Mbutton to save the FM recorded file in the folder “FMIN.DIR”.
SETUP
In the main menu, press the 【/】buttons to select “SETUP” and enter by pressing the button.
You can have the following settings: USB Mode, Power, Language, Display, Record and Sys Tools.
USB Mode

MSC mode: Mass Storage Class is used so that the player can serve as a removable disk.
MTP mode: Mass Transfer Protocol is used for the DRM function.
DRM 10
What is DRM?
DRM stands for Digital Rights Management, a technology used to protect digital products from copyright
infringement. When a customer buys a DRM-protected music download, this download is encrypted
specifically for that customer. To allow the customer to use the protected audio file on a digital player, he
or she must link the DRM-enabled player to Windows Media Player 10.
How do I put the DRM files on my digital player?
1. Purchase DRM music files from the internet, and download them onto your computer.
2. The download is successful if you can playback the audio files that you downloaded. If you cannot play
the files, you need to download them again.
3. To use the DRM function, the computer operating system must be Windows XP / SP2 or above. You
should have Windows Media player 10 or above installed on your PC and you also need an internet
connection.
4. Connect your digital player to your PC. The following window will be displayed on your PC screen:
5. Select MTP mode by carrying out the following steps:
5.1 In “USB Mode”, use the【/】buttons to select “MTP
mode” and press the button to confirm.
Or,
5.2 After connecting the player to your PC, press and hold down
the【M】button for 3 seconds to switch between “MSC mode”
and “MTP mode” for the DRM function.

6. Click “OK” to start synchronization. The following window will appear on your PC screen:

7. Select manual synchronization or automatic synchronization according to your requirements, then click
“Finish”. The following screen will appear:

8. Add the songs that you want to synchronize to the list.
